Review for Hingham Endodontic Center I went to this office in severe tooth pain, desperate for help. Instead of listening to my symptoms and concerns, the doctor accused me of wanting a root canal and insisted my pain was due to an ear infection. They performed a sensitivity test, noted my tooth was only minimally reactive, and used that as "proof" that nothing was wrong with it. I sat in the exam chair crying while the doctor and staff reassured me that the root canal I supposedly "wanted" wasn't necessary. At the time, I was already on antibiotics for an ear infection--which I later learned was actually caused by my tooth infection--yet they did not prescribe anything additional or treat the source of the infection. I was told to simply "call back in a month." After enduring the pain and the doctor's dismissive, demeaning behavior, I decided to book an appointment at the Stoughton Endodontic Center instead. They ran the exact same sensitivity test, but this time the provider diagnosed nerve damage and confirmed I needed an emergency root canal. The infection had progressed so far that it had spread into my sinus. Because of the delay in treatment, I am now dealing with lasting effects--a year later, I still experience mild episodes of sinus pressure that began during the infection. This experience was not only unprofessional but potentially dangerous. Dental providers should listen to patients, take their pain seriously, and investigate symptoms thoroughly instead of dismissing them. I would strongly caution others before seeking care here. read more

Dr Dolbec is awesome! This is my 2nd root canal with him. He has a very calming voice and explains everything he is doing before he does it. I've always been nervous of dental work. He and his Dental Assistant Suzanne were kind and very professional and put me at ease!! I had virtually no pain during the entire procedure! After an injury to 2 of my front teeth, I was referred to this office by my dentist. I told the assistant (I don't remember her name) that I had anxiety and she assured me that Dr. Dolbec would help put my mind at ease He was extremely kind and caring. In addition explaining what was going to happen in the beginning of the appointment, he drew a diagram to help me better understand. The only reason why I gave 4 rather than 5 stars is that the office is not wheelchair accessible. They do have a portable ramp and the staff is more than willing to help in any way possible, even standing outside the bathroom door to ensure safety. read more

I had a root canal performed by Dr Mohamed Kayali on 04/24/23. Dr Kayali and the entire team were amazing. They are all extremely professional and caring. They communication by Dr Kayali and his staff was during the procedure was great. I highly recommend Hingham Endodontics for any Endodontic needs. The process was very smooth. They take your insurance info at the time of your call. Someone calls you back the same day and explains what insurance covers and what's expected for payment the day of your visit. No surprises. I came here for a tooth analysis to see if I needed a root canal per referral from my dentist. Dr. Khoobehi was so unbelievably rude and had 0 bedside manner. unbenounced to me I was the last appointment of the day and she had 0 patience for me. She disregarded my extremely inflamed gum and told me "my tooth was fine". I left crying I was in so much pain. I went to get a second opinion. I have a massive cavity that needed an emergency root canal with abscess infection. I have heard other practitioners here are good but I would never ever ever go see this woman. she was arrogant and rude and worst of all wrong! read more

When my Regular Dentist said I needed a root canal, the only choice for me was Hingham Endodontics. Years ago, I required their service and the work they did was 'second to none'. Once again, Dr. Dolbec did the procedure and was absolutely "stellar". I didn't feel a thing. From start to finish, this group took such good care of me. It's a scary thing to have someone cut into your gums and fold them back to clean out an infection, while you're awake. I said as much to the Dr. right before the surgery when he asked me how I was doing, I'm scared." His answer, "Well, we're not." That confidence was well-founded. He did a masterful job ... and was able to show me with astounding photos of the entire process. Front office were also the nicest group. I was constantly put at ease. Had an unexpected toothache and was able to get a same day appointment, just had to provide my dental insurance info. I was greeted by friendly receptionists. Dental assistant Janice took great care of me, took xrays and did some testing on my tooth. Dr. Kayali then greeted me reviewed the results and xrays with me and said I need a root canal and could start it right then and there to stop the pain I was experiencing. Dr. Kayali and Janice made me feel so comfortable and relaxed during the treatment that took maybe 30min. I then scheduled my second appointment to finish the root canal and the check out was a breeze and was quoted the cost. I was sore afterwards but did as they recommend, took advil and stayed up on it for the next couple of days and felt so much better. My 2nd appointment was 2 weeks later with Dr. Khoobehi. Was welcomed again with kindness and was quickly brought to a treatment room and was instantly put at ease. Dr. Khoobehi and her assistant Suzanne, as well as Dr. Kayali and Janice explained everything before something was done and describe every sound or smell I would experience. The entire staff created a positive and serene environment. Very appreciate for not only their expertise but outstanding customer service. Could not recommend Hingham Endo more! read more

I am new to the area, and was referred to Hingham Endodontics by my Holly Tree Dental. They were wonderful. I saw Dr. kayali and Dr. Khoobehi on different days, and both were wonderful. The office staff explains everything in detail, and they get you in quickly! Support staff is personable, and they make huge efforts to make you comfortable. I was expecting the worse with my upcoming root canal, but Dr Kayali made it very easy, having explained the entire process. He made it very easy to communicate any discomfort I was having. I had one very slight episode of "feeling it a bit" which he quickly addressed. I had no need for any over-counter pain meds after the procedure. I was so impressed with Dr. Mohamed Kayali and the entire staff. I was referred to go there for a needed root canal. The office is immaculate as well as the room I was sent to for the root canal. They did a couple of X-rays and gave me some tests for the feeling in my tooth. I was so surprised when they told me a root canal was not needed. He confirmed his thoughts with me by showing the X-ray and explaining what the X-ray showed that may have been a concern to my dentist. Great news! It was a win win! Elitist. Front desk does not understand billing and you cannot get answers above the kind, but inexperienced receptionist. Where Vineyard Vines when you go in and they might not charge you a deposit. If you question anything on a bill 40% more than equal if not better in the area, they will "suggest" you go somewhere else even when you are pretty clear after two separate procedures with surprise bills months after treatment, you won't go back. Dr Dolbec was really great. He made me feel very comfortable, explained everything from start to finish, and even drew me a picture to explain the process. He was extremely nice, personable and professional. I can't even believe how fast and pain-free everything was. He made an otherwise unpleasant experience pleasant enough for me to write a review, and I don't write many. I wish that he could do all my general dental work. I even asked him after my first appointment if he would fill cavities, etc lol. I am very pleased. read more

I booked a consult for a root canal with Dr. Khoobehi thinking that she as a woman would be more compassionate.. that woman was cold as ice. She stuck a sharp probe into my gum 3x while I am jumping off the chair. Asking me to bear with her..her assistant was just as bad hurting my mouth while taking xrays. When they called 6 weeks later to schedule the work I told them I had decided not to go with that Dr. as she was not gentle nor personable. I asked if I could see another dentist there and they told me I could not switch once I started with one dentist. I then told them I would not be a patient of theirs and hung up. I recently visited Hingham Endodontics to have a root canal. As I was quite anxious about my procedure, I couldn't have been in a better environment. From the ladies at the front desk being so kind and welcoming, to the Dr. and his assistant who work so well as a team that you are so impressed, you almost forget why you are there! They explain every step of the way what is going on and genuinely have your best interest at heart. After my procedure was complete the assistant guided me to the front desk, where they COMPLETELY explained my dental benefits. I'm not sure what Joe H. is talking about. Dr. Kayali did a great job with my root canal last Friday. I was unsure on my first visit because he was quick and seemed in a hurry. That is not comforting when you are seeing a Dr. for the first time. I researched other docs before my 2nd appointment - but I was not convinced that anyone else was any better. I'm glad I kept the appointment for the root canal. He told me what he was doing during the procedure (without too much detail!). He acted swiftly and with confidence. Although it is a long process (1+ hour) and uncomfortable to have your mouth open for that long, I had NO pain. He gained my trust and I would recommend him to anyone who needs a root canal. Once again my dentist referred me to Hingham Endodontics to have a root canal. I saw Dr. Kayali and he did an amazing job on my root canal. Not only is he kind, but he is also very fast.
