This place blew me away. Someone already called it a "hidden gem", which is totally accurate -- not…read moremany reviews yet, but you can believe the five stars! Went on a weeknight and there were a few tables open. Staff was welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Food was outstanding. The titular momo is worth an order or more; think steamed dumplings. The real stars of the starters were the Aloo Jeera (sautéed potatoes with onion, simple but incredible) and the Chana Chat (delicious chickpeas with just the right firmness, texture, and taste). If you like spice, try the Tea Momo: braided steamed buns which are bready and bland on their own, but the perfect vehicle to soak up the juicy, spicy vegetables that come with it and really pack a punch. The Chicken Curry, on the other hand, was not at all spicy as expected, but still subtly layered with rich and satisfying flavors and some of the best I've ever had. The Thukpa, traditional Tibetan noodle soup, was another tasty choice. A nice break from traditional Portuguese food, and some of the best in the city overall. Also, when the bill came my dad called it "reasonable" -- which is his way of saying it was really cheap. Would be worth twice the cost!

I would definitely recommend the stir fry-- it was very tasty. The momos are a south Asian dumpling that were worth a try. You can choose from chicken, pork, and vegetarian. The prawn curry was a little too salty for my taste. All in all the meal was very affordable, the service was really prompt & I would recommend this restaurant if you want a change in palette!

This might sound crazy, but the best meal I had in Portugal was at Yak and Yeti. After days of…read moreeating heavy, salty and warm (not hot) food, we wanted something hot and with more spices. Those who love hot (temperature) food and have been in Portugal will understand what I am talking about. Saw this place and decided to give it a try. We were a party of 6 and very hungry so we ordered the fried momos, chicken tikka masala, palak paneer, rogan chicken, pork chow mein, chicken biryani and the regular and garlic naan. The staff was super friendly and the food came out quick. Every single dish was amazing! Exactly what we wanted, perfect amount of spice. My favorite dishes were the rogan chicken and the chicken biryani. Definitely a must in Lisbon! We kept talking about the meal even after coming back to the U.S. You will not be disappointed, highly recommended!

Didn't really expect to find a Nepalese restaurant in the Alfama district within Lisbon. But since…read moresome members of our group were really craving spice, we ended up here. It's a relatively small place with only a few tables. I had the Mushroom 65. I should start with the fact that they absolutely delivered on the spice levels. I asked for mine four-star, and this was the perfect level of hot - enough to feel the spice but not so much that it's actively painful. The mushrooms are cooked very well, and remain quite crispy. I'm happy to report the curry, which I also tried, retains the same level of spice. The downside of this place is the amount of oil used is just way too excessive. It amalgamates and pools at the bottom of the container, no matter what the dish is. This contributes to the flavor but only to a certain amount. The portions are pretty large for the relatively cheap prices. Overall, this is a pretty decent spot for a very different style of food. 8/10
