This place blew me away. Someone already called it a "hidden gem", which is totally accurate -- not…read moremany reviews yet, but you can believe the five stars! Went on a weeknight and there were a few tables open. Staff was welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Food was outstanding. The titular momo is worth an order or more; think steamed dumplings. The real stars of the starters were the Aloo Jeera (sautéed potatoes with onion, simple but incredible) and the Chana Chat (delicious chickpeas with just the right firmness, texture, and taste). If you like spice, try the Tea Momo: braided steamed buns which are bready and bland on their own, but the perfect vehicle to soak up the juicy, spicy vegetables that come with it and really pack a punch. The Chicken Curry, on the other hand, was not at all spicy as expected, but still subtly layered with rich and satisfying flavors and some of the best I've ever had. The Thukpa, traditional Tibetan noodle soup, was another tasty choice. A nice break from traditional Portuguese food, and some of the best in the city overall. Also, when the bill came my dad called it "reasonable" -- which is his way of saying it was really cheap. Would be worth twice the cost!

I would definitely recommend the stir fry-- it was very tasty. The momos are a south Asian dumpling that were worth a try. You can choose from chicken, pork, and vegetarian. The prawn curry was a little too salty for my taste. All in all the meal was very affordable, the service was really prompt & I would recommend this restaurant if you want a change in palette!

Being Indian, the food was very similar in terms of taste, but portions and servings could've been better. The dishes came in little copper pots that were fairly small, and you have to order the rice separately, and also the naan. Again this is probably an American thing where the curry dishes come with rice, but still worth noting. Not only were the portions small, but they also didn't have many pieces of meat or paneer in them. It was basically like 1 per person. Which is unfortunate because that means there is basically more curry than anything else. Taste wise it was great, and they were very accommodating for the kids spice level as well as brought out a sample dish to ensure it met the adults spice level also which was very much appreciated so it could be enjoyable for all. We ordered the chicken tikka for the kids which they loved, and the chicken karai (it was spicy but good), garlic naan, lamb korma, and the saag paneer. The waiter was nice enough to explain to us the different spice levels and differences between Indian and Nepalese food so we could order accordingly. Great staff, very polite, the place isn't fancy or very big, just a family business. However we finished all the food and would suggest you try it out if you're in the area nearby.
