Yesterday My boyfriend made an appointment at HIMC for a line upwe arrived at 2pm (the time his appointment was set) and confi and we were waiting to be seen for an entire hour. Some of the barbers would finish cutting someone's hair and just stop and talk to other coworkers/ eat snacks. Some of the barbers were swearing in the presence of children and blatantly roasting each other. The barbers would also text or call as they were with a customer. As soon as a client they knew walked in the guys who were taking a break would jump up and take them. Definitely not very happy with the service, if you have an appointment set you need to keep that appointment and always strive to make the customer feel important. read more

Just went in shop was empty guy said my son would have to wait an hour. Shop was empty the whole time he spent on the phone he could have cut his hair. If I could give this place zero stars I would. My son came to this place for a taper... That's it, the only part of his head he touched was about 2 inches around his head. It's not blended at all, there are parts that are long and not cut at all, and the cherry on top was he was charged $25!! It literally looks like a two year old cut it. His friend was there to get a cut too and the barber was sitting in the chair eating pizza, making them wait. They were rude and totally unprofessional. My boyfriend went a couple of months ago and the barber didn't even bother to show up. Another barber said they could cut his hair and they made him wait even though he had an appointment. If he would've stayed he would've been there for 2 to 3 hours because the barber said he had three other people ahead of him, even though the place was empty. This place was really unprofessional. I took my kids here on a Saturday to get cut and I was a walk-in, yet two barbers said they could fit them in so that was cool. I told them to wait until it was their turn (one is 13, the other 12). The wait was long but we weren't tripping on that as long as they got their haircut. Almost a hour later my son walks out looking fresh with his haircut talking about he needed $55 for their haircuts and I was like what? Couldn't be. Yes, they charged $25 and $30 for our kids haircuts and was very rude about it .One guy told me I should read the sign and the other one response to my comment about them charging them like they are grown men was well some of these kids heads are like grown men. Their haircuts are good it was a job well done but their prices for pre-teens are ridiculous and most of them lack professionalism. Not everyone in this shop is immature but most of them are and they need to grow up and smell the coffee. I bet not one of them ever paid $25 or $30 for a haircut coming up as a kid or teen. I'm just saying. If you looking for customer service this is not the place and they like to eat while cutting your hair or make you wait until they are done eating which is added wait time. read more

Setup and location is ideal and overall shop quality is not bad but Zero customer service - it's ran like a frat house. 6 barbers on not a single one made an effort to greet me or other customers that walked in. Hopefully, the owner was not part of the 6 barbers. When I asked about a walk-in, they felt bothered by me asking to give them business. They lack major soft skills. My barber appt was a no-show. However, somebody else was able to assist me but again was feeling bothered to add me on his open schedule. The barber made 0 conversation and was too busy part of the peanut gallery by his peers. They were throwing empty bottles playing "hoops" in the garbage cans inside the place. The customer sitting next to the garbage can picked up the bottles they were throwing... the owner needs to show up and get this place in order starting with professionalism and customer service. read more

We tried Cesar also on a walk in he also is a very good barber. They have my young men looking crisp and sharp every time. I won't be goin back... I initially walked in with nothing in particular in mind. I told the barber to freestyle my design. He showed me a picture In his phone and I agreed to the picture he showed me.... long story short he didn't do the picture in his phone that I agreed to, he did something that neither one of us recognized... I asked him what was it and he said "I don't know, you said to freestyle it".... I'm so irritated even the freestyle is garbage... I guess he forgot the pic he showed me... his name is Davie, now I need to do a walk of SHAME until it grows out. I have a scare in my head that is normally blended with my haircut or design, this clown of a barber put 'Infosys' on the scare! I'm seriously Infuriated... not only did he cut it with clippers but he doubled back with a straight razor like he was killin the game with that one... I'm tryin to humble my self so I still paid him 10 dollars for my time but lord knows.... I will absolutely NOT be goin back! Whatever you do, don't get cut by "Remy Da Barber" at HIMC Barber Studio. He gives uneven hair-lines, my taper on the sides were off, the taper in the back of my hair was way to high and not blended well at all. To top it off he didn't cut my hair the length I asked and it was mad uneven. Both of my boys got hair cuts here. One with Derek and the other with Mario (who is no longer there). The hair cuts were the best we've had out here to date. However...they are $25 hair cuts and it's almost impossible to get in. You have to schedule the appt on line, I've tried several times unsuccessfully. Derek is booked waaaaay in advance (and seems to be the only one who keeps his schedule updated) and the other barbers are "unavailable"...not "booked" but "unavailable". I tried to shoot a txt to Wali and he never replied. We jus want a hair cut...y is it so complicated? Whatever happened to walk ins? Also, the business hours are inconvenient for people that work. Most of us are not home before 6 during the week (this is Antioch, most of us commute) and they also close early on Saturday. Very frustrating. Hair cuts alone are 5 stars, but because of the online scheduling, business hours, chronically unavailable barbers and not responding to inquiries...3 stars. read more
