Just tried this restaurant today, and their Butter Chicken & garlic naan was amazing. I asked for spicy and got just that, but just the right amount without taking away from the taste of the food. I would highly recommend them for local/authentic Indian cuisine. Customer service by the hostess (name unknown) because I forgot to ask was exceptional as well. I can't wait to try the Chicken Biryani I ordered as well. I ordered to go, but the in house dining area was clean, bright, and would set the mood for a nice date night. I've brought my picky girlfriend and family members who rarely stray from Mexican food or vegan food, and everybody loves this place! The second time I took some of them was the day after the first because they wanted to go back xD I love the SIZZLING MOMO and I'm horrible at remembering names, so I just checked the YELP menu but there's a lot more to offer in person (I try something new every time) - even if you're used to meat, the vegetable-based dishes are super good and hit the spot. The service is pleasant and excellent every time, and the place is pretty, and they have beer to add to the celebratory feel, because every time I've gone has felt like an event in itself and not just another meal. I do love this place and this review is past due, and I hope everybody who drives by pops in some time cus I know you're going to Target or Petsmart already in that plaza so even the location is convenient, too. Ate here a couple of weeks ago. It's a family owned business specializing in authentic Indian & Nepalese cuisine. Nepalese cuisine is closest to Indian cuisine due to similar cooking styles and availability of common ingredients. However, cuisines from Nepal have a completely different identity, so don't expect it to be exactly like the food you get in an Indian restaurant. The servers were very friendly. I just want to start off by saying there will be a little wait for the food but it will be absolutely worth it! They had several large parties that kept ordering food so it took about an hour. I got chicken momo, garlic naan, and chicken vindaloo Marsala. The chicken momo was delicious. I have been looking for the street dumplings everywhere and I finally found them, light fluffy, good texture not chewy. Chicken vindaloo Marsala I could drink the sauce. I literally dipped my naan in it and it was honestly some of theeeee best Indian food I have ever had. My daughter had chicken chow mein. She ate all of it and asked if we could come back tomorrow for lunch (she's 12). She also had the mango Lassi. She said ahhhh it's so refreshing! My husband had the mango lamb, I usually don't like sweet flavors with meat but the mango was not over bearing and gave it a sweet/ savory heat, wouldn't be mad if I got that either. Came here with my family since I'm vegan but they are not. Really appreciated that the menu is divided between vegetarian dishes and not! The food was delicious but I had a little trouble figuring out if some things had dairy or eggs in them. For example, the naan. But our waitress was able to point me to the one that didn't have egg in it! We found out the place had just opened recently and were amazed because the place looked great and food was delicious! My only suggestion would be to mark which items are vegan and not just vegetarian. Other than that, it was fabulous! We'll definitely come back! read more

This place is incredible. Truly a hidden gem of San Antonio. We went on Saturday night and every table was full. The food that was being carried out to the tables looked and smelled divine- we were highly curious as we've never had Nepalese food before. The menu has quite the selection- I love that they have an extensive vegetarian portion of the menu. Each item had a description and we also looked at the other Yelp reviews with food too, to help us. We ended up ordering the Dal Makhani, Sizzler Momo, and both a garlic and honey ginger naan. Everything was so full of flavor, but not overwhelming to the palette. It was true comfort food, and I am still thinking about all of it days later. The lentils felt cooked with love, the sizzler momos were surprising little bites of flavor, and the naan tasted freshly made. These people know what they're doing! They were attentive as could be with a full house and made us feel so welcomed our first time there. Had the goat curry. While it was very tasty, this dish is dangerous to eat and I would not recommend anyone eating this if they value their lives or their teeth. It's not just goat meat, it is chopped up goat bones too. You are essentially eating a bone soup. I even tried eating it with my hands to feel out the bones and even then there were small tiny bones hidden by the meat that I could potentially choke on or break my tooth on. I pushed the meat aside and just tried to eat the curry sauce with rice and still there were small tiny chopped bones in the sauce. I don't know why you would serve curry like this. It is hard to eat and overall unsafe. I didn't bother eating the rest of my meal for fear of choking or breaking a tooth on a bone. Very hazardous meal. Don't order the goat curry. Edit: manager apparently says the goat can only be bought bone in. While this may or may not be the case I have been to restaurants that prepare and cook goat. Dishes like cabrito. I even prepare goat myself. You can cut the meat off the bone or separate it from the bone after cooking. Just because you buy the meat with bone in is no excuse to chop the meat up WITH THE BONES and mince the bones in with the meat, making the bones tinier and harder to separate from the food. When you prepare it that way you make the bones sharper and smaller and an overall health hazard. That makes the bones easier to choke on and cut you or break your teeth if you don't notice it and are chewing the meat. Either way. They need to prepare the goat better and separate it from the bones if they are goinf to chop it up and serve it in a curry. Dangerous dish. Do not order this. read more

First time here, and the food was delicious. We got the samosa chat as an appetizer and if you like samosas you'll love this. I got the sizzling momo, which is a pan fried dumpling in a chili sauce.
