I've stayed here in the past for a work trip and it needed an update. Now in November 2025 they are under construction and they have the majority of the hotel closed and blocked off. I tried to go to the restaurant on a Thursday evening for dinner and it was closed. When asking the front desk about it they stated that management closed the restaurant (even though it was open the night before) but didn't have any further explanation. So I had to Grubhub some dinner in since it was pouring rain outside. With the restaurant closed, there's nowhere to get a beer or a drink. The rooms were ok, but definitely not a "4-star" level of hotel. This hotel basically felt like an overpriced Hampton Inn with even less amenities (at least Hampton Inn you get a free breakfast). When I'm back in town for work I'll be staying somewhere else. Also note for fellow Diamond / Elite members, they don't have an executive lounge, despite what the listing on the Hilton website says (used to be on 8th floor but is closed permanently).

Very disappointed in my stay here. We came all the way from Virginia to see a 49ers game. My husband is a huge fan so this was a gift to him. For this to be a Hilton, I was not impressed. The hotel was average at best. We had the "city view" from the 2nd floor which wasn't a very pleasant view at all. I asked if I could change to a different room. The rep who helped wasn't very friendly at all. Their response was that this is for Diamond members only. When I said I was willing to pay for a different room, his response changed but the other options he provided weren't much better so we ended up keeping what we had The stadium is conveniently located within walking distance which is awesome. Sunday we attended the game. It was a scorching 95° so you can imagine how badly we wanted to shower afterwards...Nope, all the hot water was out and shortly after that, the power went out from 7:30pm about 1230 am. No apology, no explanation nothing. It was absolutely awful. I will never stay at this hotel again. Sorry not sorry.

More like 2.5 stars instead of 2. Honestly location is nice and the first floor is gorgeous. But after that...it bothers me how the rooms don't look as clean. I always operate under the assumption hotels aren't as clean as they look so if I get a room that doesn't at least LOOK clean, I'm sort of bothered. This hotel also attracts a lot of families and large groups, but the walls are thin enough you can occasionally hear your neighbors. I'd stay here again if the price is competitive to other hotels, but not a first choice at all. Security is also hella lax. I came in at 11pm one night and didn't have to use my card to get me inside. Anyone can park in the parking lot which is cool if a friend is visiting, but must be annoying if you're a guest fighting for parking with randoms just taking advantage of how free it is.

We always get the package that has the free breakfast. They give us a voucher card for one meal daily up to $12. They have a menu that you can order from and it is prepared for you and it's none of that continental breakfast bs. The rooms are nice and comfy. They offer a refrigerator but no microwave. But you can use the microwave in the lobby. They only downfall this time was the toilet; it had to be flushed several times. They also have a nearby train station but the noise did not bother me and I'm a light sleeper. Saturday night after the game it was popping in the lobby. It was packed and the lobby is large with plenty of seating .There were people playing pool, chilling at the bar, ordering food, and just vibing. It was litt and full of laughter. Thank you for the great experience and see you soon.

The Aloft Santa Clara fits the brand's vibe perfectly--contemporary, well-designed, and consistently comfortable. The property sticks to the familiar Aloft layout I've seen across the country, which I actually appreciate--it makes travel feel a bit more predictable in the best way. One drawback? Like some Aloft locations, breakfast here is limited to a small à la carte menu. That might be totally fine for many guests, but I was in the mood for something a bit more memorable. I ended up walking about a mile to Mikayla's Café--and it was well worth the stroll (check out my separate Yelp review). There are no nearby restaurants, retail or coffee shops by the Aloft. The nearest Starbucks is a 1.6 mile walk. So keep that in mind! My room faced Highway 237 and came with a fair amount of street noise, plus some added rumble from the nearby light rail. If you're a light sleeper, definitely ask for a room on the opposite side of the building. If you're heading to an event at Levi's Stadium, the hotel's location is super convenient--just about a 1.5-mile walk. As a Lifetime Titanium Elite, I'll admit I hoped for a bit more recognition beyond a polite thank-you at check-in. I get that Alofts don't have suites or major upgrade options, but a little something extra would've gone a long way. Overall, still a solid stay with the cool, casual atmosphere I expect from Aloft.

It was also a huge help that she had a variety of decor items we could borrow, like card boxes, frames, and easels, which saved us from having to buy them ourselves. Pre-COVID, I would avoid a one-hour long commute to work on occasion as my employer partnered with Star Space as a remote working location for their employees. There are numerous working environments (some formal, some informal, and also includes an outdoor patio that has WiFi connectivity) that are all set up with external monitors and peripherals. The printing is fast and there are conference rooms that can be reserved in advance for a small fee. There are sometimes community events meant to bring together those using the co-working space to get to know each other and exchange ideas. Post-COVID, they have aligned with proper precautions for the county and I feel completely safe working from there. There is a key fob that you can use during and after-hours, truly making this workplace accessible 24/7. Their kitchen is also fantastic. It is usually stocked with many single-serve type items (think cheese, hummus, pickle pouches, fruits, trail-mix type snacks, and beverages galore). Microwave, kitchen, and non-stop coffee. (There is oddly a premium coffee machine up front that I have NEVER seen been used as they charge a fee. This seems like it is a waste and should just be made available for users to make their own coffee.). Lunch is usually via a group DoorDash, but I find it easier and cheaper to often order separately and have it delivered to the the front door. All-in-all, Star Space is a wonderful co-working space that allows me to work outside the distracting environment in my own home, but not having to commute to my regular workplace or to another distracting environment like the library or coffee shops. They have great receptionist too. Highly recommend!
