Overall fine. Looks ok in lobby. Rooms are fine. The lobby gets hot! Lots of windows to fight midday sun and propped open doors make it a losing battle. I checked in and out online with digital key which worked but also zero interaction with staff. Toilets are low flush, just odd in this type of hotel. The in-house Starbucks is nice feature but exceedingly slow. When employee at front is not immediately present and employees in back lookout window and see customers waiting but nobody does anything. It is a decent place to stay but not economically viable. You will pay an inflated amount for your room and, to my surprise also pay for breakfast the next morning. Out of town for work. Stayed here 10 days! Besides the beds being decent, there are many reasons NOT to stay here! First off the front desk staff are ridiculously inattentive! At checkin, myself along w 3 others in my group stood at the front desk while 2 staff behind the counter did not look up and greet us. They shuffled through envelops with their heads down. Then when we did invited forward, staff was very unfriendly as if we were bothering them. Finally got to our rooms and found the room not superclean. The adjoining room door is useless for sound. I could hear the conversation of the occupants and the constant opening and shutting the fridge door. The elevators were grossly hot and the floors were so dirty!! Obviously had not been cleaned in weeks. Woke up the first morning to find note under the door about locks being replaced and we should get a new room key. We all got new keys when we returned that evening. We went to the restaurant and only one other table was occupied. We seated ourselves. The server was standing at her stand directly behind us in the corner of the restaurant. She took easily 10 mins to give us menus, as she was on her phone. Took 10 mins after we received our menus before she brought us water, one glass at a time!! We ordered some beer/wine and she disappeared for 10 mins the returned with no drinks. We ordered our meals before receiving our drinks. Again she disappeared for 5-10 minutes. Again she returned without our drinks. Two of us went to the bar outside in the lobby and returned w drinks before she brought the original drink ordered. As we looked around we noticed the other occupied table had been finished and was waiting for their bill. There were at-least 7-8 tables uncleared with plates and glasses from previous dinners! The server stood at the server often on her phone. Its took 1 hr and 5 mins to get our food. Unbelievable!!! No other dinners came into the restaurant while we were there. The server never once cleared a table. Food was mediocre at best. Day 2 returning from work none of our room keys worked. Day 3 room keys did not work!! Day 4 room keys did not work!! Day 5 all 4 of us stopped at front desk to get new keys BEFORE going to our rooms. Day 6 key did not work again!! Day 7 2 of 4 keys did not work. The rest of our stay we all stopped at front desk for new keys when returning from work. EACH time the staff had there heads down shuffling thru envelops and answering the phone. Staff knew we were there. The HIGHLIGHT of the Hilton was the 2 ladys that worked at the Starbucks and snack bar. Both were extremely friendly, engaging and appeared happy. We enjoyed stopping in for a drink every morning on our way to work. I wish I remembered their names. Just a joy to talk with them. Other than that go elsewhere!!!! I am a Hilton Diamond Member and WILL NOT stay here again!!! read more

If you typically stay in a Hilton property and are a diamond or gold member and use food and beverage credits, I would recommend that you do not stay here. The restaurant is terrible. I ordered brisket nachos, which sounded really good, but they came out with Tostitos chips processed beef that was nowhere close to brisket And Velveeta cheese sauce on top of them. Disgusting for a full service hotel. The fitness center was not well-maintained and three pieces of cardio equipment I tried to use were not working properly. The recognition on being a diamond member was nonexistent when I checked in except for the offer of two free bottles of water. While this hotel is beautiful,it didn't live up to its four star hotel rating. While the room was decent it wasn't amazing. The shower toilet is small and the room other than the view from the large wall size window wasn't spectacular in anyway. The pool is lack luster and the hot tube was warm with no jets working when I went. We didn't eat in the restaurant so I can't speak to that but the pizza you can get at the coffee and pastries area was gross. The breakfast buffet was not great despite the amazing staff who were very attentive. Compared to the Buffett at the Pensacola Hilton on the beach we had just left to travel to Memphis it was a very sad breakfast Buffett. read more

This has been a really nice place to stay in. I appreciated the area and the ambiance of the building. I only had to stay c few days for a finance convention, but the overall experience was very nice and accommodating. The room I had was spacious and clean. You don't have to acknowledge the age in some areas (I mean the building is old), but it is still a very nice place that you can have classy events in. The hotel is in a nice location too. It's not too far from downtown, but it's just enough that you don't have to deal with crazy traffic unless you want to. There are good food spots within the mile in circumference of the location, too. The complimentary breakfast was very nice. I really wish they had other options aside from pork as the meat selection, but it wasn't good. The waitress, Mrs. Pat. Was very hospitable, kind, and helpful. Oh, and the location isn't bad. If anything, this is not the countryside. Don't leave any valuable items in your car because you are increasing the likelihood of getting your car broken into. With that said, they do have security cameras and things outside.... but that's like setting up a camera just to watch it happen when you don't want it to happen at all. So please be smart and do your due diligence on safety measures. read more

This is the worse hotel I have ever stayed in our family reunion was in Memphis. The bathrooms were from the 90's in bad need of remodeling, the side of the tub to enter was so high you had to use a step stool to get in, there was barely turnaround room considering you could touch the tub because the toilet was so close to the tub. The sleeping area had full beds instead of the queens I reserved, Stating oh we have some rooms under renovation, however there were no accommodations made for this inconvenience. This was definitely not the Hilton experience that I'm use to. Everything in this hotel was filthy including the carpet in the room. I can't wait to return home. It's a shame that hotels are not hiring staff to maintain the cleanliness of this establishment (especially after the covid pandemic). I asked one of the workers if the pool was open and they told me yes, but when I went down to the pool it was closed and remained closed for the duration of my stay. I contacted this hotel and spoke to several different people including the front desk, reservations and management. Each time I explained to them that someone made a fraudulent reservation using my credit card. I gave them all the information that I had, which was the credit card number used, my name, the date and time of the transaction. I informed that my bank had already cancelled my card after I saw another two transaction attempts for their hotel. I was told by hotel staff that my credit card company would have to reach out to them before they could do anything about it. Of course I called CITI and told them this. They informed me that they have never had to reach out to a merchant to do such. And that it only took me contacting the hotel, letting them know it was fraudulent, provide the amount, date of transaction and my card number and they could reverse the transaction. I also asked the hotel if they could at least cancel the reservation that was made, or require whomever came to check in, to provide the credit card used as well as ID matching the name. The last rep that I spoke with named Ishmall (I think that is how you spell it), told me that he could not give me any information as to if there was or was not a reservation made with my card because the card number, date, name on card and amount was not enough information. And that made absolutely zero sense to me. I think they were simply not wanting to refund because he kept saying the exact same thing over and over as if it was a scripted response. So they have gotten $406.52 out of me. If I do ever visit Memphis, best believe that I wont even drive past that hotel. read more

It's an old hotel. The doors, windows and furniture in the lobby are filthy. It smells old. The glass windows and doors look as if they've not been cleaned in months. The heat does not work! We tried the breakfast buffet and while the food was ok the staff was disappointing. The server harassed us from the moment I sat down with my food until I finished - pay her in cash. She said, "their system was down." When my Husband insisted, that our room be charged she somehow charged our breakfast to our room. Y'all. I can't believe it's taken me a few years but I finally found a hotel in Memphis that doesn't 100% suck! This isn't amazing by normal standards but for Memphis, it may as well be the Four Seasons. The parking lot sucks. The layout of the driveway/parking lot itself is a lesson in frustration. I didn't really take part of many amenities other than the coffee shop. That said, I was super confused by their lack of breakfast items in the morning but still having lunch/dinner things out in the displays. The coffee shop also had a weird layout for their condiments for said coffee. The check-in process took quite a bit longer than I felt was necessary but by time I got to my room, I realized why. I was met by a housekeeper as I approached my room. Tack on another five minutes to get into my room. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. I was in love with the view, watching the sunrise in the morning. The lighting in the room was not great but that also seems to be a Memphis thing (most of the hotels are severely outdated and likely add more lamps instead of running power). Clean spot to lay my head while on a business trip. I generally travel alone for work trips and I gauge my hotel reviews based a two important factors. #1 is safety as a solo female traveler and #2 is cleanliness. This hotel ticked the boxes for both. I was able to check in on the Hilton app with the digital key and had no issues. The hotel itself had a lot to offer such as a coffee shop, late night bar area and from what I could tell a breakfast buffet area. While I didn't patronize these areas due to my schedule, they looked well enjoyed by hotel visitors. Traveler Beware! This Hilton location is unsafe and is the subject property of a burglary ring that management and security just can't seem to get a handle on. After a 6 hour drive from Georgia, I checked in late Friday night and parked my Lexus in the parking lot located in front of the hotel, only to walk back down to my vehicle a few hours later to find a window shot out and my car ransacked. 7 cars were burglarized that night, all while the on-site security "guard" sat in his vehicle and didn't stop a thing. The manager Danielle offered me 10,000 honors points ($50) for my trouble which I did not accept and refused to refund me due to me having to leave and head over to the Peabody so that my car can be safely parked in valet with no window! Because it was the weekend, unfortunately, I was unable to get a replacement, but $342.44 later, plus hotel expenses, made a horrible experience that I wouldn't want anyone to chance. read more

This visit started off rough because I booked through hotels.com and they were over booked when I got to the hotel. The staff was so confused and tried to send me to another hotel. They ended up figuring it out and accommodating my stay. The actual hotel is beautiful, 20-25 minutes from downtown and Beale st. Surrounded by stores and great restaurants. Hotel management told me it was the first time it's happened but Memphis PD said the police know this lot a hotbed for criminal activity. Stayed at the Hilton Memphis for a conference. This location definitely held up to Hilton standards. From check in, to check out, and everything in between. Staff are all polite, friendly, and helpful. Staff always greet you with a hello and ask how you're doing or if there is anything they may provide you. Overall it was a decent stay but I had a couple problems. My hotel toilet was whistling all night. I did reach out to the lady's in the lobby and they had the maintenance man to come up twice. It continued to whistle. At that moment I believe my room should have been changed. I understand the hotel was full but something could have been adjusted. At 5:15 I was sitting in the lobby waiting on my Lyft and I asked the front desk guy if the shuttle takes people to the airport. He stated we do not have a shuttle and we do not take people to the airport. Then I saw pilots and flight attendants getting on a Hilton shuttle. Smh. read more

I stayed at this location because I was attending a conference there, so it was convenient for me to stay on site. The good: The staff was WONDERFUL. I'm guessing they were understaffed (seemed that way), but everyone was super friendly and helpful. I dealt with the front desk on several occasions, as well as having someone from engineering come in to adjust my air vents, and everyone was great. The lobby area was huge and had lots of tables and chairs for people to hang out and chat during the conference. I ate at the quick restaurant, the sit down restaurant, and through event catering - all were fabulous. The beds and pillows were comfy. The views are great, but you can't keep the curtains open in summer or the room will get very hot. The bad: The air conditioning was broken (actually blowing hot air) in the guest room halls, and just kind of limping along in the rooms, for my entire 4-night stay. My room wouldn't get cooler than 76 during the day (in the heat and humidity of mid-July), and some people had rooms that were much warmer. I understand there is a supply chain issue that was out of their control, but it would have been nice if they'd at least MENTIONED it at check-in (apparently it had been that way for over a week), or offered fans for the rooms. Two of the four elevators were broken off and on. With two big events going on, and non air-conditioned stairs, this was rough. This is another maintenance issue that may have just been outside of their control though. What they CAN control is that the rooms need to be deep cleaned and remodeled or at least refreshed. The curtains were ratty looking and wouldn't close all the way unless you leaned your luggage against them, the carpets were really dirty (like, make your feet black dirty), and everything just seemed dingy and old. For a cheap motel it would have been fine, but the room condition just didn't meet my expectations of a Hilton. Also, if you share a room with friends/acquaintances, there is NO private changing area around the corner (unless you squeeze into the bathroom) because the big mirror and sink mirrors reflect what's happening in the other part of the room. You've got to be pretty friendly! The upside is that you have a big mirror and can also see the back of your hair reflected. read more

I horrible place. Ever since this Boston Company took over it's gone downhill. They fool with you with renovations. It's just eye candy. The staff is miserable. Hospitality should begin with the staff. It doesn't. I will give it a chance again. It's a Memphis Monument that needs support. As someone who once worked there.... Just another poor customer experience at another HILTON. As us weary traveler do... we arrive late to our hotel, hoping to grab a quick bit from the hotel lobby before heading up to room. Keep in mind, i'm 50 year old... Trying to grab a beer, chips, granola bar, water... and NOBODY working the counter. I wait 5 minutes listening to the ladies in back gossip and complain about customers. Finally, i call out... can I get some help, please? Bad move... the lady was instantly rude. "Can i help you?" As i start placing my items on the counter, she asked for ID. "My ID is 25 floors above me. Why do you need my idea? I will pay cash." She said she can't because she must card everyone under 65! Completely MADE UP. Not true. False. A lie. She got her manager, and manager said the same thing. I asked the front desk to save me the trip upstairs to retrieve my ID, but the Front desk can't talk to the Snack bar????? Just in case someone reads this at the hotel... so you know for next time... in Tennessee.. Carding Requirements: On Premise establishments do not have mandatory carding policy, however, it is against the law to serve anyone under the age of 21. Off Premise establishments must card everyone, this includes grocery stores, package stores, and convenience stores. The ID cannot be expired. A carding exemption can be made for those who are obviously over the age of 50. BTW, i went to lobby bar, across from both snack ladies and front desk... And, bartended didn't card me! This hotel is massive and very clean. The lobby is very large and features a bar as well. I stayed here a couple weekends ago while in town for Memphis in May. My King size room was very nice and clean, however the bathroom was TINY! It was literally a "water closet". It wasn't even big enough to have the sink inside of it. The sink and counter was just outside, along with a separate counter for the coffee maker. The bed was comfortable and the room had a HUGE floor-to-ceiling window looking over the gazebo and moat. It was very nice. The thermostat in the room was also not working properly in my opinion. it was hard to get the temperature just right to not be freezing and not be burning up. The staff here were all friendly and accommodating, however when it was time to check-out the Sunday that I left, the line at the counter was ridiculously long! There was seriously about 40 people waiting in line to talk to the three people standing at the counter! RIDICULOUS! It made no sense for there to not be a designated line for people checking out, or have more people working at the counter. Even still, I think this hotel is a nice option in the area while in Memphis. read more

This property is exceptionally sub-standard for Hilton properties. The photos of the property on the web site are spectacular, and clearly very old, as this property is beat up and run down (and mechanically unsound, as you will read below). When we checked in we were not recognized as Hilton Diamond Members nor thanked for our loyalty. We were not provided with our welcome water bottles, nor were we offered our complimentary room upgrade that goes with our status (upon availability) or given an explanation as to why an upgrade was unavailable. Upon check in, one elevator was out of order in addition to the service elevator, as the housekeeping staff was routinely seen waiting for the guest elevators with their carts on multiple floors. By Sunday morning, three of the four guest elevators were out of service. In addition to the 50 room block that we were part of, there was also a room block for a soccer tournament. Beginning by 8 am, we were waiting for over 30 minutes for the one elevator that was working, as the entire soccer group was trying to get out for games, and those in our room block were checking out and heading to the airport. My wife and I were on the 24th floor (Room 2405). After waiting the first 15 minutes for an elevator, one finally stopped on our floor, but was full, so we were unable to get on. After waiting another 15 minutes the elevator passed our floor without stopping. At that point, we took to the staircase with two pieces of luggage each (we had no choice, as we had to get out of this disaster and to the airport for our flight). Yes, we had to descend 24 flights of stairs dragging our luggage. No one from the hotel took command of the situation or advised the guests of the situation. There were no recorded messages by phone to the guest rooms, no signs posted at the elevators, no emails or texts to the guests. There was no control of the one working elevator by the staff, no attempt to shuttle luggage by elevator for the guests and directing them to the stairs. The complete lack of concern by the entire staff was evident. When asking a housekeeping staff what time check out was, their response was, "I don't know," and they just walked away. When addressing the front desk staff about the situation, no matter what was asked or requested of them they could only say, and continued to repeat, "we are working on it." I can't even imagine what check-in would look like that afternoon, as they couldn't move their housekeeping personnel from floor to floor the change over the vast majority of their rooms with guests checking out. By 11:00 am, they were already telling new guests that they had no idea when their rooms would be ready and were storing bags. The lack of management and leadership was frightening. We are not in Memphis often, and would not stay at this property again. I do, however, believe the offer of a refund for the two night stay, or the offer of 100,000 points (the value if we had stayed on points) would be a most appropriate resolution for the absolute disaster of an experience this property and their leadership put me through. read more

The place was nice, however, guard your valuables. I stayed at this hotel and left my ring on the nightstand while I went to have breakfast. When I returned my wedding ring was gone. The hotel staff entered my room and cleaned it even though the "privacy" door hanger was on the door. I immediately went to the front desk and reported the incident. The general manager was not available but they assured me that he would call me back. He did not! Upon checkout, I asked to speak to him again and was given his card. I have been trying to reach him (Darius Rankins) for over a month. He has yet to return my call or respond to my email. I assume his policy is to ignore me. I have reached out to pawn shops and have called corporate. Since there was a short window between the time it was taken and the time it was reported, the hotel must have known who cleaned my room yet chose to ignore the situation. Extremely disappointed. We booked this location from Friday, 9/23/2022 to Monday, 9/26/2022 visiting from out of town. We requested daily housekeeping on the day of check-in and we never received it. Even after addressing it on Saturday and again on Sunday morning in person and was told it would be done. When we arrived back at the hotel from a long day and found the room still untouched - We were told by the lady at the front desk that it was never written and it was missed as well as too late in the evening to fulfill. She instead sent 1 roll of toilet paper, trash bags, and towels. NO fresh towels or trash emptied until, Sunday, 9/25/2022. On Saturday, 9/24/2022, there was an event that we were not aware of. When returning from our day, there was absolutely NOWHERE to park. No exaggeration. NOWHERE TO PARK. We kept circling and circling until we saw someone leaving. I called to inquire and was told we would need to "drive around until we found something." I do not appreciate this especially being a paying customer. Why do we have to "find" a parking spot? It would've been nice to be given this information on the day of checking in. Just a friendly heads up. Showing up to the hotel we are paying for and not having a parking spot is unacceptable. Lastly, on Friday, 9/23/2022 I went to the Starbucks located in the lobby and the lady looked at me from behind the register, took her time to approach them stared at me. The 3 stars is mostly because they say "restaurant on site". I would have thought this size of hotel would have a real restaurant in it. Room seemed to be updated but the bathroom is tiny. The small eating place burnt the pizza read more
