Hilton House is a special place, located on the Mendocino-Sonoma coastline. We've done our best to make our home comfortable and welcoming so you can make it your home, even if just for a few days. There's plenty of room for your family and friends (& pets) so come enjoy one of the most beautiful parts of the California coast.
Just about three hours from San Francisco and Sacramento, Hilton House is in the town of Gualala, an incredibly scenic area of the California coast. Three bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, open living and dining, ping pong, basketball games, and air hockey in the garage. Restaurants are literally 2-minutes walk. And in the morning if you don't feel like grinding and brewing your own coffee, hot coffee & a hot breakfast are also just a 2-minute walk. Then you can just relax on the front porch & enjoy your coffee, maybe catch the local bald eagle hanging out in the tree out front, or spot some whales. Or maybe start a fire and climb into one of the recliners in the living room and take a nap with giant ocean views. With flexible booking & plenty of free parking, you can't miss.
History
Established in 2017.
We bought Hilton House as an escape from everyday life after a family health scare. When you visit the town of Gualala and the surrounding area you realize what a special place it is. And Hilton House is no exception. The views from the front porch, the sound of crashing waves, the wildlife, and access to beautiful trails, beaches, and vistas is unmatched. We have been renting it as a vacation home since 2018 but have gone through a mix of property managers. We are now back to managing the property ourselves, which gives us the opportunity to better connect with guests and ensure it feels like a home, not a commodity. Every time we stay we regret having to leave, and we suspect you might feel the same.
Note that there are steps up to the front door of the home, but there is a paved walkway starting in the driveway that leads to the back porch and into the back door of the house so it is wheelchair accessible. And the master bathroom has a bar by the toilet and in the shower.
