It could have been the perfect trip..... The bad: OUR ROOM FLOODED! I took a shower the first morning and directly on the other side of the wall, in the bedroom, the floor flooded! It was so soaked, when I stepped on it squished between my toes. It completely soaked by bag and soaked into all my clothes ruining them for the entire trip. I couldn't wear anything but dirty clothes until going home the next day. When we called the front desk to notify them, they said "oh that happens, we will send someone up" and maintenance brought an industrial air blower and left it on the carpet. We couldn't take showers after our concert sweating from the 100° weather for 5 hours because they didn't fix the issue, just left the blower behind. When we got back at 11:30p, the wet spot had spread to past the end of the bed and under the bed. So at least we could access the bed from the other side. Checked out at 7am and just went home because it was disgusting. I am greatly disappointed that the front desk was aware showering was an issue causing room flooding and isn't doing anything about it. We were not moved to another room and there was no rectification, or even acknowledgment of the inconvenience. Any amount of sympathy or compassion would have made for a better experience. Thankfully it was just one more night. Additionally, The valet was never available. No one outside, and the person we talked to at the front desk was not helpful and couldn't tell us anything. Only 1 time out of all 3 days was someone available for valet without having to be tracked down by the front staff. We won't be back. I don't want to risk this happening again. Just not worth it.

It is the new Fairfield concept and it is absolutely beautiful. Apart from being exceptionally clean and well organized, the floor layout is very open and spacious. I absolutely love the new blue and white color scheme and the open floor plan. This property just feels higher end from the moment you drive up into the parking lot. It isn't just superficial either, the front desk agent was amazing even at 10:30 at night right before his shift ended. Very very rare. The room is exceptionally clean and the new king suite layout is very open. The beds are firm yet very comfortable and the climate control actually works! Even being very close to a highway it is very quiet in the room. I have not heard a single person in the floor above below or next to me. Again very rare in a hotel. Perks: all Fairfields offer a great breakfast in the morning free. They have a good selection of food and snacks in the bar next to the check-in desk and a great business center. The rooms all have a good fridge and microwave. The best part they have DirecTV in the bedrooms! Here is where I get weird. Travelers all have their thing. Mine is that I need a room to get very very dark. Some hotels fail absolutely miserably at this and you have to turn off every electronic device or you feel like you are being scanned by aliens in your sleep. Everything in these rooms is quiet and there is minimal light with all the lights off. The refrigerator does not sound like an 18 wheeler is idling in the front room. The air conditioner does not whistle like an airplane getting ready to take off. It's pretty simple, if you are trying to stay anywhere in the woodlands area this is the spot!

During the past year alone, I've personally experienced or witnessed TVs and cable not working, broken ice machines, water being shut off multiple times, mold in bathrooms, hot water taking nearly 20 minutes to reach the room, unfinished and poorly repaired walls, water leaking around the windows, mushrooms growing around the air conditioner, broken microwaves that stay on when opened , internet being down for a full week and even the electronic key system failing, requiring employees to walk guests to their rooms just to let them in. These aren't one-time issues--they've become the norm. The biggest reason I continued staying here wasn't the building; it was the people. One employee in particular, Jay, the Front Desk Supervisor, consistently went above and beyond. I watched him handle angry guests with professionalism, cover shifts, support his coworkers, and keep the hotel running when others failed to do so. He was the person holding this place together. I recently learned that Jay was let go, and honestly, that was the final straw for me. After everything he did for this hotel and its guests, I can't understand that decision. I finally took the time to read the other Google reviews, and sadly, none of them surprised me because many describe the same issues I've witnessed firsthand. Marriott's regional management should spend a few nights here as regular guests instead of stopping by for a quick visit. Experience what your customers experience. After years of loyalty, I'll be canceling my upcoming reservations and taking my business elsewhere. I genuinely wish the remaining staff the best of luck. They deserve better.

Evening Front desk associate was usually MIA. No bell on the counter in the evening if you needed anything (ie clean bathroom towels). That was not even the worst part! Female evening staff almost hostile. Bathroom exhaust fan was broke and everything metal in the bathroom had rust on it! Oh yea and if you want ice, well that's only on the 3rd floor! I Do Not Recommend this place. NEEDs a total overall from the ground all the way up to staff, cleaning and front desk personnel. I could say more but I won't.

I tried the room phone but couldn't reach the front desk as it would ring then hang up. I tried dialing the main number and when it was going to transfer me to the operator, it then said extension invalid and hung up. So cold shower the first morning, and that evening I managed to get help and it turned out the indicator was all wrong, you had to twist it to cold for it to be hot, and if you keep twisting till you reach hot it was boiling. However the bigger issue was a wedding gift I had for my friends was stolen by housekeeping on the second day while I was out, a fancy small gift bag I had left next to the TV. I didn't realize it until the third day when I was preparing for the wedding. The manager said they stand by their staff but would file a report. There was $200 in a sealed card envelope plus white chocolate bars. The manager said its a case of "he said vs she said" and thus nothing can be done. Horrible.

The room was a double bed. Room 208. It was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was clean. The room has a fridge and a microwave. They also provide a Keurig with coffee pods. If you want tea, they have some downstairs. The restroom: great water pressure in the shower. Hot water always available. The pressure in the sink was horrible. I ended up having to wash my hands, brush my teeth and wash my face in the tub faucet. They do provide toiletries that include shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and bar soap. Breakfast is complementary. On the weekend it was from 7 to 10. They have hot and cold items. The hot items included sausage, scrambled eggs and potatoes. They also had oatmeal. Cold items included cereal and Greek yogurt. They had fresh fruit. You can always make their famous Texas shaped waffles. Parking is available on site and complementary.
