Great location. The room was comfortable, had good toiletries, and I appreciate the complimentary water. Wish there was more than one person at checkout. I was waylaid checking in and out by different boomers.

The Aloft hotel is a great place to stay! Our stay was super fun because the entire hotel felt like the inside of an Ikea showroom! The lobby and rooms are very modern and chic. What I always consider of highest importance is that the beds and pillows were VERY comfortable (and I'm a picky guy), very fair pricing, a safe neighborhood and located very close to the Woodlands downtown (only about 10 minutes). After a storm, we had to find a hotel nearby to stay at for a couple of days. Most of the hotels located within the Woodlands are quite pricey and also do not accommodate pets/dogs. We wanted to stay close to the Woodlands and the Aloft Hotel is just 10 minutes from downtown Woodlands, so we did not have to travel far. The rooms here were approximately $105 for a single king or $129 for a double queen, plus about $15+ in tax per night per room. For pets, there was a $100 one time (nonrefundable) cleaning fee. The Aloft hotel is located in a very safe and quiet neighborhood. There are a couple of other hotels on the same block as well as an elementary school which gives you an idea of how quiet and safe it is. The rooms were a lot of fun! The rooms feel very clean, fresh and modern. The following are notes about our stay: *Bathrooms include a shower stall only (no bathtubs that I know of) and toilet, divided from the sink and rest of the room by a pocket door. PLEASE NOTE: (1) Use caution when closing the bathroom pocket door, as there is no gap between the handle and the wall. (2) There is no lighting directly over the vanity mirror. *Rooms come with a mini refrigerator (that could easily store a gallon of milk and food) and also a personal coffe maker. *Rooms are furnished with a small corner bench seats and a table. *The beds are VERY comfortable and believe that they are memory foam. The matteresses provided great support and were comfortable throughout the night. *All rooms include a large TV and also a mini Marshall© speaker that can be connected via Bluetooth to your devices. *The property has a swimming pool and a workout room, so you can stay on your fitness program if needed. *This Aloft hotel does NOT provide free continental breakfast, but, they do provide free coffee and guests can purchase onsite breakfasts, ordering from a screen menu in the lobby. The Aloft also has several additional guest amenities, including: *Bar/lounge for cocktails. *Guests computer and printer. *Pool table. *Conference room. The staff was super friendly and courteous! They proviided clarifications for any questions that we had. The cleaning staff does a great job of thoroughly cleaning the rooms and maintaining a pleasant experience. I definitely give Aloft Motel 2 big thumbs up and highly recommend staying there! We enjoyed the industrial architecture, clean rooms/facilities, the wonderful staff, the fair pricing and the ability to have pets! I confidently recommend the Aloft as a pleasant stay and with it's locality to the Woodlands, it has so much to offer during your stay.

It has lots of seating and the rooms had all the amenities. Very modern and clean. The pillows were comfy. Their complimentary breakfast is amazing. This is the only reason it's not 1 stars. It could have been the perfect trip..... The bad: OUR ROOM FLOODED! I took a shower the first morning and directly on the other side of the wall, in the bedroom, the floor flooded! It was so soaked, when I stepped on it squished between my toes. It completely soaked by bag and soaked into all my clothes ruining them for the entire trip. I couldn't wear anything but dirty clothes until going home the next day. When we called the front desk to notify them, they said "oh that happens, we will send someone up" and maintenance brought an industrial air blower and left it on the carpet. We couldn't take showers after our concert sweating from the 100° weather for 5 hours because they didn't fix the issue, just left the blower behind. When we got back at 11:30p, the wet spot had spread to past the end of the bed and under the bed. So at least we could access the bed from the other side. Checked out at 7am and just went home because it was disgusting. I am greatly disappointed that the front desk was aware showering was an issue causing room flooding and isn't doing anything about it. We were not moved to another room and there was no rectification, or even acknowledgment of the inconvenience. Any amount of sympathy or compassion would have made for a better experience. Thankfully it was just one more night. Additionally, The valet was never available. No one outside, and the person we talked to at the front desk was not helpful and couldn't tell us anything. Only 1 time out of all 3 days was someone available for valet without having to be tracked down by the front staff. We won't be back. I don't want to risk this happening again. Just not worth it.

Plus the location is close to the Cynthia Woods Pavilion so it allowed us to hear the Dave Matthews Band concert performance which took place on the 8th. Nothing like hearing the soulful sounds of the violins and horns from that band. The hotel has some nice amenities including a hot tub and pool located on the 2nd floor (both are outdoors). There's several lounge chairs where you can hang out while you get your tan on by the pool. There's also a hotel kitchen/bar area serving up nice cocktails and theres' the breakfast area which is complimentary for Globalist members which we took advantage of. I loved their brisket eggs benedict; definitely recommend ordering. Now back to our suite, there was also a lounge couch giving us more room to spread out. They also gave us complimentary chocolates and a hand-written note welcoming us while mentioning our anniversary. I really liked that personal touch as it made us feel valued. The bed is comfortable and we slept quite nicely. There is a mural above the bed of some woman with a hat covering her eyes; it kind of freaked us out at first but we grew to appreciate the artistic touch. Parking is behind the hotel where you can do valet or self-parking. It's also within walking distance for all the shops/outlets so there's plenty to do staying here. Definitely a favorite hotel of ours and we'll be more than happy to stay here again!

The hotel itself is clean and feels updated, the staff was friendly and welcoming, the rooms are spacious and new, the restaurants served good food, the gym was excellent as well. The room was appointed nicely, design wise, it felt upscale, bed was comfortable, full glass shower, wide plank style tiles, comes with a mini fridge and coffee maker as well. The fridge is a great thing to have while traveling and not all hotels have them these days which is a shame. It also has a nice desk area to work at, TV and a little lounge area. The gym, nice sized gym, cardio equipment, treadmills, elliptical machines, Peloton bikes, etc. the also have dumbbells, but max out at 50 lbs, (which I would like to see a bit heavier), a couple benches, a multifunctional life fitness weight machine as well as a stretching area and kettle bells, some other machines, everything you need to get a nice workout. I need to stay at places with a nice gym and will skip places that don't have one, this one is great. They also have chilled towels you can use during or at the end of your workout, always like to see those little touches. All and all, excellent property and would not mind staying here again if I am in the area. I would recommend you check them out. When asked they said "you can play whichever game you want, it's self service." My husband and I used our phones to at least put on music, we facilitated a game of tag, and several families had to escalate to the manager to setup the karaoke and popcorn machine because the staff in the room was literally sitting around sticking to a rigid schedule and telling us they can't set anything up until a certain time. The location was easy to get to and was no more than 20 minutes from most of the places we had to visit over the week. First of all, they get five stars for accommodating us on short notice and for their customer service. In terms of the hotel, they could do some work with the plumbing. During our stay, the water would go in and out, and sometimes it would be piping hot and other times freezing cold. We stayed in room 405. Our room was great, except for the air conditioning did not work in the bedroom... It was fine everywhere else in the room. I was happy that there was a sofa bed in the room as we had an unexpected guest join us... And we were glad to be able to accommodate. However, the sofa bed mattress needs to be changed. It is so bad that if you merely sit on it, you can feel not only the springs of the mattress, but the metal bars of the sofa bed as well and that is not good when you need to get a good night's rest. Overall, the staff was very friendly. Their breakfast ends by 10 AM and if you're down there by 9:50 AM, they will be putting away the food and cleaning up around you, which I thought was a little bit strange. I figured because it was Thanksgiving week and nobody wanted to be there working that's the way it had to be. The hotel also charges $16 per night to park there. However, if you are there for five nights or more, the parking is free. If you need to park there, make sure that you get your parking permit from the front desk or your car will be towed. Other than the items I mentioned, it is a nice hotel, and it is very clean, and the housekeeping people were very accommodating and friendly. Enjoy!
