You can go down some stairs to see the falls. Many people also climbed over the fence for a closer look.

There are a total of 6 trails (3 for biking and 3 for walking), as well as a few offshoot trails. At the time of writing the review, the longest walking path (green) was closed for construction, so I could only walk the other 2 trails (red and yellow), which still took almost 2 hours as I also took some detours along the Bruce Trail. The most difficult part of the trail would be the ascent near the beginning; the rest of the trail, though somewhat rocky at times, was pretty easy to walk. I recommend going earlier in the day (I arrived around 9:30am) as there was less people there. By the time I left (around 11am), the parking lot was mostly full. There was lots of greenery and waterfall itself was very nice as well.

Came here on a long weekend to get out of the city. The park is quiet and nicely setup. The parking is spacious. There's a fee per person, but we found it is worth it as the park is maintained nicely. The hike is comfortable and not too strenuous. I find the falls area to be very soothing. The conservation area is nice and tucked away from the busy city life. I find the area to be quite clean and the trails to be easy for a good walk. Highly recommend to others.

I'm sure going in the summer would've been a much better idea. With spring here but not everything thawed out it was an adventure. My cousin and I would go from a very muddy trail to where it was solid ice and ice skates would've been a better idea than sneakers. It was a treacherous walk to the falls on the yellow trail. The falls were not frozen and the water was small but highly photogenic. It was neat to see an ice shelf on one side of the base of the falls while the other had water trickling down the rocks. On the way back we decided to take our chances on the red trail and there was less ice but more mud. Yay for wet sneakers and socks but for not constantly being afraid of falling on the ice -_-. Ah well, you live and learn. As was noted in another review, there is a washroom located inside a building instead of using the outhouse on the other side of the parking lot.

admission is $6.75 per person which includes parking and a little info booklet on the various trails and features of the conservation area. The conservation area is clean with a concession stand. It's about a one hour walk to the Hilton falls from the parking area. I'd also suggest bringing snacks for the chipmunks as they are rather skinny. There is another entrance to the Hilton Falls conservation area just off the 6th line road but it has limited parking with some swampy conditions along side the trail that are a breeding ground for lots and lots of mosquitoes

One of the several parks in the Halton Hills area near Milton, Hilton Falls is a waterfall connected to a reservoir and dam for the area. It is well cared for and had a small attached building at the entrance with a heated washroom. We noticed later in the afternoon there was a lineup of cars waiting to pay for parking so arriving early helps. If you only want to do a leisurely hike there is one that is 3km long so just the right length to stretch your legs. We skipped the main falls due to the crowds but there was plenty of nature to appreciate without seeing the main attraction. The little birds are so cute here! This is a great spot for not only hiking casually, but continuing on the attached Bruce Trail (there is a Bruce Trail side trail in the park), or cross-country skiing in the winter. Summer is perfect for mountain biking.

went jan 24,2021! great day - great trails. must reserve online and pay a fee - it was busy but everyone kept their distance. if areas are crowed - wait and people will clear out soon enough. take water and snacks as there are rest spots along the way. great family activity, solo or with friends. we did two trails but will be back for the longer one soon!

I recently bought a family pass for the Halton region conservation's which includes 7 different parks. This park I found to be very nice with the Hilton Falls and a bunch of side trails. There are restrooms at the entrance that is well maintained, I also noticed a few outposts along the trails. This park I found to be a lot busier than Crawford Lake which is the one I usually go to. The highlight is the Hilton Falls small yet quaint, it was so busy that we had to wait for some of the crowd to clear up before we were able to get close enough to it for a few snaps. About 150 meters there is also a small glacial pothole that was created by some 13,000 to 14,000 years ago. The main trails are well kept and the side and Bruce trails are fairly good as well. I noticed a lot of cyclist doing their laps through the trails as well as trail runners. There is also a small fire pit that people bbq some wieners or smores on and the fire wood is provided as well. Good park to spend the weekend with the family.

I came here over the weekend to go hiking and had a really good time. The trails are clearly marked and they have designated trails for hikers and bikers. My friend and I hiked to the falls and they were really pretty. The hike was really easy and they had a nice area for people to eat by the falls. They even had a fire pit. If you like marshmallows, you can definitely bring them and toast them by the fire. The conservation area is run really well and they provide you with maps. They even have bags available so you can pick up after your dog. I really recommend this conversation area and would love to go back in the fall when the leaves begin to change colour.

Impressed by these trails. It cost 6.75$ for adults, 5.00$ for children (over 5) and free for children (under 5). Free parking and they give you a map of the trails as well. Washrooms available before the trails (clean!) and some outdoor washrooms (not clean but it is expected). About an hour walk to Hilton Falls through some beautiful trails, very easy to walk with some steep hills but not too difficult. The falls were pretty and the view was lovely during the fall when the leaves were changing colors. There are picnic benches and fire pit near where the falls are. Bring food and water along the trail if needed. There are other trails nearby, I would definitely check them out another time. It was an enjoyable walk, good path for families and OK for dogs as well.

A very nice and peaceful hiking trail! The scenery was beautiful and there was not a lot of people when I went. There were maps about every couple of kilometres you walked and that was very helpful. There are different types of trails where you can go on and they are separated by colour. The Entry fee of the conservation area was $6.75 per adult. It doesn't matter if you are there for the whole day or a couple of hours, the price is the same. While I was there, I saw quite a lot of animals! I saw snakes, frogs, and a lot of squirrels as well as chipmunks. I would definitely recommend this conservation Park to a friend and definitely will come back and explore more!

I have a newfound appreciate for hiking and I love Hilton Falls! The waterfall park is absolutely gorgeous and captures all the beauty that mother nature has to offer. The admission for the park is $6.75 per person. Conservation Halton also offers an individual or family annual pass. If you enjoy walking, biking or want to take your dogs out, the annual passes are your best bet!! You will have to go 8x for the individual annual pass to pay for itself. The family member ship is the BEST option for 3+ people in the SAME car, only taking 6x to pay for itself. It's for a single household but its extended to all the occupants in one personal vehicle. There are 3 different hiking trails with varying times and distance to satisfy your mood or energy. There are also 2 separate bike trails, totalling 5 different options in this park. I had an amazing time over 2.5 hours with my friend on the Hilton Falls Trail because we wanted to see the falls. We were so eager to take pictures that we ended up with 200 on one camera alone. It was really easy to fall in love and capture every moment! I hope everyone gets to see this REAL hidden gem in Milton. It's nice to know you don't have to go TOO far to see something so beautiful :) Hope this helps! -jT

However, you still have to go pick up physical copy of the ticket from the booth. Once you arrive, they will also request you pay for the park entrance $10/person. As soon as you enter, if you park at the first parking lot (located to the right) this is closest to the course challenge area, plenty of picnic area, washrooms as well. If you continue to drive ahead, there is another parking which is very close to the chairlift area. Pick up your ticket and get in line. Along the way, there's options for food & drinks. There's seating area with a bonfire. The chairlift ride itself was only 10 mins or less. Once up there, go exploring a, following a route for a hike, the further you drift away the less people you see but be careful! Keep children close, there are plenty of area which are steep cliffs. It can be very dangerous. There are signs all around which was good to see. The hike was so peaceful, amongst the trees, It's maintained well. We did often feel like we may be lost so stay vigilant, the area is large. The last ride up was 5pm which means they stay ensuring everyone is getting back down. we waited in line for about 15-20 mins. Staff was wonderful, they were cheerful, answered all of our questions. Tips: don't loose your ticket, you need it to go back down. Wear proper gear, it was cold!
