She shared that my room had been given away to someone who checked in earlier. Due to this, she provided me a different room and discount due to the inconvenience. Our arrival made us unable to eat from the restaurant and use the credit. That annoyed me. It was raining and I had to walk elsewhere. The stay was good, no complaints. Really loved this hotel. We booked a 2 Queen Room through Airbnb as it was a little cheaper than through the hotel. There is a $35 credit thy can be used daily at their attached restaurant. We didn't get to take advantage of that, but it seemed like a good perk. The room was spacious. The room had a fridge which is always nice. Large bathroom. Plenty of space for 3 or 4 adults. Lots of room for luggage to be stored on the floor. The staff were very friendly. The location was great - within a couple of blocks of 2 different subway stations. A bunch of food nearby. Close to the cruise terminal we were sailing out of. Would absolutely stay here again. read more

Overall good experience staying at Hilton Brooklyn during my one week stay! The booking process was smooth on Airbnb, and also a great value on there compared to other comps. After checking out, I got my folio emailed to me and they charged a $35 destination charge I already prepaid. That change comes with a $35 dining credit. They didn't apply the credit, despite *double* charging me for it. I called and talked to front desk. They said they would look into it and call me the next day with an updated folio. They took off the double charged $35 fee and sent me a new folio, with a partial application of the credit. Still overcharged $4.74 when total should have been $0. They never called. The Hilton app needs some upgrades... couldn't check in early, pick the room & get digital key before arrival. Had to call the desk to verify an early check-in was ok, to ask (hopefully) for a high floor/corner and keep fingers crossed. da Scene: Upon arrival you drive up, no valet/loading zone in front; it's a 2 lane bike lane. Unless you've been hardened by driving in mid-town you may find this troublesome. Since we spent a week at the Hard Rock on 48th and 7th ave, driving THERE was rough, but like in life was doesn't kill you makes you stronger! So put on the hazards, unload the luggage (there are carts inside, but no bell desk/attendant), get to the desk and let them know you've got a car to valet, and make it their problem. Got the digital key activated at the desk, but apparently doesn't work in the elevators for security? Got the requested room type. da Stay: ROOM - Hilton does the rooms right, plenty of outlets (some USB), good size room, lots of storage, fridge, safe, workstation. Carpets could be cleaner though. da Dining: Property does AYCE buffet breakfast 7-11 for $30 (Diamonds get a daily $18 credit) you can order ala carte as well. Get there early (we arrived @ 10:30) or you'll find hot dishes "not so hot" or wiped out. Coffee was a goner too, no espresso machine, but there was a waffle station. On-site bar/restaurant Black Walnut opens afternoon, great bar space, good grub, very convenient. da Service: Front Desk staff varies; we didn't get much of a welcome as Diamonds, also since we used the valet, I was at the desk several times daily... I noticed the welcome scripts some front desk staff ran included a pretty through explanation on the daily credit levels/use, timings of the breakfast and restaurant & bar, etc.. was kinda jealous we didn't get that courtesy. Other than that "miss" they were very very helpful, valet was pretty good, ran 15-20 mins. on the pickup. Overall SOLID, but could be a 4+ star with a few tweaks: 1. Improve the App. check-in, room selection and digital keys had to be done @ desk check-in. You can only share the digital key with registered guests, but still can't use in elevator... kinda kills the whole advantage of the digital key, still have to carry a physical key around. 2. Monitor hot food levels @ buffet better, don't run out of coffee, maybe replace all the manual coffee making with a high quality/volume multi-function espresso machine (like in airport lounges), kick it up a notch! Open @ 12noon for lunch? 3. Executive Lounge - I've noticed less and less of these in US based Hilton properties, now missing evening receptions since Covid... bring them back? Make it "executive", something more than cheetoes, granola, apples and Canada Dry? Again, monitor the coffee & water... couple of times they we out and had to make several trips to "check" if re-filled. Also, it's closed during breakfast service... can't grab a coffee and snack before heading out in the morning... could you let Diamonds in? 4. Couldn't get a hold of housekeeping via phone day or night; left messages, 3 of us, towels only for two, 1st night. 5. Front Desk staff were pretty good, possibly just an anomaly we didn't get complete info. on benefits & amenities at check-in. Good location for walking to Atlantic and Court, close to subway, on-site bar/dining, good rooms. This was really a 3.5... This was once one of my top five favorite hotels! One of the important features was located on floor C! The dry and wet saunas, jacuzzi and heated pool! Well currently the wet sauna isn't working and the dry never got to temp while I was on the jacuzzi. Someone was having a swimming lesson so I didn't go to the pool. This was a major disappointment for me! The room claimed that I would have a Verrazano view! Through the eye of a needle.. the microwave area didn't have a plug. Went to the front desk to ask for assistance to no avail did they assist me! Stayed at the hotel for one evening on a business trip. The hotel is very close to a subway station so you can easily walk to the hotel. I checked in during evening hours and I liked that the front entrance was easy to access and well lit - after a certain time only guests with a room key can enter the front doors. The bar/restaurant have last kitchen call at 9:45 pm so I missed eating in the lobby restaurant. Easy to check in and my Hilton status was acknowledged. The hotel was quiet in the evening on a Friday night. The hotel lobby notes recent and ongoing renovation and it is noticeable in the entrance to the rooms. The rooms are a bit older but clean. The lighting is a little dim even when I turned on all of the lamps in the room. Everything worked in the room and the shower had great water pressure. The AC/heating does hum when turning on and off. I had breakfast in the lobby restaurant which offers a buffet for $30 and a la carte options. read more

Stated here for one night and it wasn't the greatest to say the least. The man at the front desk was very nice and helpful but the hotel itself was very subpar. We checked in at around 2AM so maybe that explains the appearance. When we checked in, the hotel was very poorly lit. It looked very sketchy and uninviting. It didn't seem very clean but again it was so dark, so who knows? The room itself was nice but the light in the bathroom was flickering and by the morning, it had completely blown out. The waters in the room looked like they had been there for months. There was visible dust on them. Other than that, the stay was enjoyable. Horrible customer service paid in Advance on hotel tonight same day as when i was going to stay. I booked in the morning and tried to check in at 230 am the man would not let me check in also have to check out at 11:00 am he didn't let me go into my room that was already paid for , Granted there is a deposit fee before checking in but was only stay for a couple hours so from 230 am. To 11:00 am (which is checkout) Tried to speak to someone to help get the deposit fee waived since he wrongly charged my card freezing my account. He refused his answer was no No help and claimed to be a manager and he is a guest service agent. . He could've waived the fee or courtesy hold for us to stay after already paying in advance same day. He could've let it pass it not against the law. We weren't staying a whole day. So we were stuck in the lobby all morning trying to go into a room already paid for. Only staying for 7 hours. I asked for documentation and looked up on the company website nothing said the deposit couldn't be waived he also had no proof that he couldn't but claimed it's policy why he can't but had no fine print. Nor any links guiding us to the website. Waited from 2am to 8am no room that's paid for and slept in the lobby till a supervisor came. SMH He told us to call the third party to handle it I did and he still denied after not having the power to say no and telling g us to call to get it waived. The front desk staff were efficient, courteous and professional. The bar - perfect!! My room was great! The bed was very comfortable, as was the bathroom and the water pressure. Breakfast was okay. The good: nice room, comfortable bed, great location, decent fitness room. The bad: terrible, terrible service at the bar/restaurant (like waiting 40 minutes after ordering to receive your breakfast, wrong food delivered, bartender disappears for 10 minutes frequently -- plus Brittany Spears club tunes isn't great breakfast music at 7am). It's a catch-22: breakfast included but you can't actually get it. Also bad: I stayed Sunday to Wednesday and there is no maid service or room cleaning of any kind. Further, you cannot even reach housekeeping. They never answer the phone (tried at least 3 times). Even if you leave a note requesting, for example, more coffee supplies or shampoo, nothing happens. No service (I should say the front desk folks were good). Also bad: you will need to log into the internet on your phone at least several times every day. If you have a laptop, you'll need to do it there also. iPad? Yes, you guessed it. I have an up-to-date iPhone, iPad, and MacBook, and I'd say I had to go through the log in process at least 6 times a day for every day of my stay. "It's 2005 calling and they want their wifi system back." I usually find Hilton hotels to be well-run, but this was a sad exception. Don't do it. read more

if I could give this hotel a zero I would. I'm a frequent traveler and stay at both Hilton and Marriott. This hotel in the rooms I think guest should know the amenities or lack of. I was in room for 12 tried to call downstairs, no one answered the noise from upstairs beside me and in the hallway was extremely loud all the time but what really bothered me the most is the constant squeaking of the bed you roll over it makes a noise which then wakes you up. of course, then you have the ratchet smell of sewer coming from the bathroom. I tried to cover it up with a towel, but still horrible. Let's talk about the ice machine or lack of or where it's at so no ice bucket in the room. You have to go downstairs to get your ice. If you want a cup of hot water you can't do that in your room. You have to go downstairs to get that as well for those of us traveling on the road we like to be able to have a cup of tea at night or coffee in our room privately before seeing everyone else I will never stay at this particular hotel again and I cannot recommend it to anyone. read more

Extremely clean Hilton, pretty weird it only has 6 floors and in downtown Brooklyn. I do a lot of business in NYC and 2017 was a big year for me there and I hate I discovered this hotel close to the end of my business dealings there in the capacity previously. The hotel address is a bit weird every Uber I took ended up at the back door as the address listed isn't the front door. Once you enter you will be wowed as the lobby is very trendy and the front desk staff is very welcoming. My hotel room was clean and spacious. I enjoyed my rooms and the locations each time I stayed. (Away from elevator$.) The restaurant is tasty, if you are in a rush you should call your order down in advance as there can be a wait as I did experience waits and ended up late to the office on numerous occasions. The staff at the restaurant are very friendly and accommodating. The bar area is nice and great for people watching as well as a drink. read more

I am a Diamond member have stayed at hundreds of Hiltons for business and pleasure. I booked this stay through the app as usual and requested a digital key. The app said it would notify me same as before. 3pm came and went, 4pm, 5pm.... I messaged the hotel no response. I called and after the run around they told me I have to check in at the front desk. Well, thanks for making me wait 3 hours. So I go to the front desk, no one is there, wait 14 mins. Finally a guy checks me in, doesn't mention the Diamond member room credit, doesn't mention possible room upgrades or offer them, doesn't give me water for the room, I have to ask for it. I'm pretty easy going and don't complain often, but this Hotel has to get their business in order. Your customers choose Hilton because they expect a certain type of service. They want to check into their rooms on time because they paid for that. They choose Hilton and spend tens of thousands to get to Diamond level for a reason. Don't change for me, because I'll never stay here again, but change for your future customers. read more

Amazing stay in the Hilton Brooklyn! As Hilton Diamond Member I'v stayed at over 100 locations and this was one of the best and never written a recommendation before. It all started with check in, George was pleasant and helped me with my room an with a smile on his face! The room/suite was great! Thank you George! I ate at the bar and the 2 bar tenders were great, recommended their special drink ( I forgot their name I'm sorry). The salmon was great and the chef accommodate my request to change the potato to fresh veggies. AZ was working and came over to say hello...Tony the Food & Service Manager came over to thank me and was fantastic and we chatted for some time and comped me a drink which was very kind! Lastly, Julianne the sales manager came over and I complimented the team she was so kind and I'm working with her on holding a meeting/event! She has an incredible personality and accommodating! We booked a reward stay using points, received an email confirmation showing the cost of the room was only for incidentals (about $60 for 2 nights), and there was a problem with the booking. We talked to two different staff members at the front desk who were useless and not willing to provide any customer service! All they kept saying was "this is all I see." The premium internet that is supposed to be included with the mandatory $25 per night fee was spotty at best, and considering we are Hilton Honors Diamond members, it was not ever made clear what our benefits were. First off I booked this hotel in September and was given a room rate of $341, total price including taxes and the Urban charge of $25 would have come in around $423 for the total stay. When I checked out this morning they had billed me over $687!!!!!! They changed the room rate from $341 to $550 and downgraded the room- I had booked a deluxe king and they gave me a king with accessible hearing ( if anything they should have deducted $30). I went to the front desk to remedy the charge and was told there was nothing they could do about it even though I showed proof of the Hilton app booking with the correct room rate etc. I am beyond disappointed especially when I spend thousands of dollars at these resorts, will never step foot in this hotel again. read more

I really like this hotel. It's a new, welcome addition to Downtown Brooklyn. My sister from Alabama received theater tickets for Christmas & Mother's Day. It would be her first trip to the city except for my son's wedding. So we planned a hotel stay. I made reservations at a hotel in Long Island City with a great Manhattan View and easy subway access to the theater district . Knowing she would love Brooklyn, we extended our stay and moved to the new Hilton Downtown Brooklyn. What a perfect choice it was!! The Hilton provided walking & subway access to the wonderful shops & restaurants that I knew my sister would love. My Grandson's favorite place, the NY Transit Museum, was steps away. But the pluses were many more. The price was great for a fantastic room. There is nothing like a brand new hotel, offering the most current decor and layout. The great look was not just in the guest rooms but also the lobby & bar area. Our guest room bathroom was huge. It felt as though you could fit a Midtown hotel room in just the bathroom. The lobby and bar design was open concept. We had room card access to the Executive Lounge. A really good breakfast buffet was served in the lounge every day. A welcome addition to the hearty eggs and such was Brooklyn baked pastries that were so yummy. The employees who staffed the lounge were efficient and remembered their patrons from day to day. The front desk personnel were friendly and accommodating. The cleaning staff was personable and thorough. The bartender was terrific. After one visit to the bar, he remembered my NFL football team preference. The conversation at the bar was fun & genial. Parking was at a private lot across the street on the same block. The price was a special Hilton rate. When I drove in, the attendant immediately recognized me as a Hilton guest. The only negative was no "in and out" access. The very best thing was location, location, location. The only minus was the restaurant. The staff had not yet developed the efficiency to serve their clientele in a timely manner. My sister loved the shopping & dining choices. She loved walking Brooklyn Bridge & the beautiful waterfront of Brooklyn Bridge Park. In addition to Downtown Brooklyn I introduced her to Dumbo, Brooklyn Heights, Boerum Hill, Cobble Hill & Carroll Gardens. She now has joined the ranks of Brooklyn Lovers. read more

I had to stay here for work last minute and I was annoyed that I had to drive so far since this was one of the places that had a decent price for my last minute booking, but I was surprised! Front desk service was great. Rick from the Front Desk was fantastic and so helpful. Wifi was free since Rick helped me sign up as a Hilton member in which I've stayed at a gazillion Hiltons and they were NOT this helpful and courteous. The room was definitely spacious and clean. Loved that there was so much room for me to move around and I didn't feel like I was stuck in a box. Housekeeping was attentive but was also respectful of privacy. Loved that I had received texts from the front desk to make sure I didn't need anything. Usually I don't care to stay in the same hotel when I'm traveling but I would definitely come back here. The only downfall is that they didn't have their own parking garage and I had to park 500 feet down at another garage, which was fine since I got a discount for parking there and they were great too! We had a VERY DISAPPOINTING stay at this Hilton property. It begins with calling the hotel 3 times the day before to confirm our reservation and being told 3 times we do not have a reservation. We called AMEX Platinum Travel Services (we booked through them) and they confirmed our reservation. There were no plastic water cups or bottled water in the room when we arrived. We called the front desk and went down to pick them up. The next day, housekeeping made up the room and did not replace the towels or provide new coffee packets, cups, creams, and sugars. We called the front desk, and they said they would send some up. They had not arrived by the time we left for dinner. On the way out, we interrupted the two front desk staff who were dancing and playing around with each other to ask if these items could be brought to our room. When we got back, the towels had had been delivered, but the coffee, cups, cream, and sugar had not, so we had to go down and get them. The condition of some of the towels was hold and raggedy; see photo. The room was pretty average and had a funny smell, but the bed and pillows were good and the room was quiet. Sunday was the NY Marathon, a real challenge for cabs/ride services because of street closures. Front desk should have advised us to get picked up on State or Atlantic. That advice that would have saved us AT LEAST half an hour of being stuck in traffic on Smith street in front of the hotel. Oh, and did I mention the $30 "Urban Destination Charge?" The only good experience we had was at the bar; Dior the bartender makes a great cocktail and knows how to make people feel welcome. Needless to say, we won't be going back to this property, and it's made seriously question the Hilton brand. read more

I booked a room at this hotel a few days in advance from their website,but aparently they use a third party agency to do bookings, this third party agency and this hotel have a weird dynamic were they blame eachother for not being able to do anything for you. I paid 1k$ to stay here 3 nights family emergency came up and i could not make it and reached out to either move the reservation to next week,get my money back or anything they can do for compensation and nothing. The agency said they need an ok from the hotel in order to issue refund and the hotel pointed fingers at the agency after going back an forth playing ping pong with me and getting me to cancel reservation (so they can ask to issue refund) is what they said,they said theres nothing they can do. Ive bee traveling regularly for 15 years n have never had this kind of incompetent service of people bouncing me around like its not their problem, not to mention the strange extra fees and charges that they dont share with you until you attempt to check in, where even than aparently reservation doesnt gurantee you a room witch is crazyy. This hotel has questionable ways of doing business if your looking for a hotel i would recommend Marriott properties where they dont beat around the bush and have way better policies and business practices and care for their guests. read more

This is the absolute worst hotel and staff I have ever had the displeasure of visiting. If giving a 0 star rating was feasible, I certainly would. This hotel was a total scam with employees who will con you in every way poss. They will trick you and charge you for something that you didn't even use or they will make a lie that you did something that you didn't. Small rooms , they don't clean the rooms properly and they don't replace dirty towels with clean towels. The bathroom was no better, as bottles for shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion were empty. Blinds on windows weren't even working. The TV in room wasn't even operational. This hotel will have you constantly calling receptionist because nothing is working properly. It's not safe to be in this hotel and it's definitely not worth the money. Be aware and careful don't walk by yourself in this hotel and always have witnesses as they make stories if you are alone . Half of the staff don't speak English and they will group up to fabricate lies and put you in trouble - especially if you are very young. read more
