A great space for performing arts. Took the family to see The Knights performing . It was a show tailored towards families . This was the perfect sized venue for the show and we had a thoroughly enjoyable time . The space was clean and we loved the tiered seats and felt it wasn't too steep which can be the case sometimes . We hope to return soon !

Stunning space. NPR/WFUV

Amazing. No words. Beautiful museum-like building in downtown Brooklyn. Close to BAM and the subway with the LIRR (I had no idea you could catch the LIRR from BK: I will never ever go to Penn Station again en route to Long Island). The theater is phenomenal. If you're attending a show (I saw the luminous Esperanza Spalding two weeks ago at an FUV/NPR event), get there early if you want to sit in the balcony. Seats are wonderfully comfortable and I am too old to stand up at concerts. Love everything about this. Note: 1) There are not enough bathrooms. Clearly New York does not have the same laws about ADA and such as California and in particular, commie Santa Barbara. A warehouse-sized structure in CA would never get away with a few bathrooms. Individual ones, without stalls, I might add. This is a major design flaw and I was astonished to have to wait this long to pee. 2) The wine bar is really a "theoretical" place to buy snacks and beverages. The line was 20 people at all times. It did not move. So either drink before you get there or just forego the drinks altogether. It was amazing to watch the line just stand still. I have no explanation or ability to comprehend this but watched it bemusedly.

Poetry Event/Art Exhibition at BRIC

Recently attended a Poetry Event/Art Exhibition there a couple of weeks ago. I glanced around the space as I sat on one of the portable cushion seats the venue provides when one sits in the audience. Located in the heart of downtown Brooklyn, the venue is quaint yet is spacious enough and I had an excellent view of all of the Poetry Slam participants. The performances were nothing but extraordinary. The Art Exhibit was fantastic! The people that work at BRIC were very nice and provided me with information and answered my questions. I would definitely recommend attending events at this beautiful venue!

. Nice to know that when the rest of the BK is gentrifying at alarming speeds that there will always be something for the people, from the old days.

I had absolutely no idea this little gem was available to use for events! They completely sanitized and cleaned every square inch before me and my 13 guests (family mostly!) arrived for my husbands bday dinner. It was immaculate. We felt so comfortable because there was one chef who was cooking our food and one waiter to serve vs a restaurant with lots of people. They have a gorgeous outdoor space so we had drinks there and kept the door open then whole dinner for some air. It was great - food was amazing - and the staff couldn't have been nicer. They also provided all of the rentals and the price was right. It probably cost me a bit less then going to some fancy restaurant and the experience was so much more special. My husband was so surprised and loved every second. P.S. the chef re-created my husbands favorite childhood dish to make the menu special. I love that he took the time to do that!

All of the staff at Ace were kind, welcoming, and incredibly helpful with my questions. The vibe of the hotel was very hipster (coworking in the lobby, DJs at night in the lobby), which made for a unique experience. The rooms, while smaller, were very well appointed and comfortable. The products in the bathroom were lovely, the bed/pillows were very comfortable. If I have the opportunity to stay in Brooklyn again, Ace will be at the top of my list for sure!

A rude woman who did little to correct her mistake. Now I'm wet. I went to the bar to ask if they'd replace the drink. The bartender immediately said "no go ask the manager." Well alrighty! I find the manager and he proceeds to re-explain the situation as "so you want us to buy you a drink? It's not our fault or responsibility." We're adults. I never placed blame. A peculiar thing to say considering I just bought the drink and I'm in your establishment. Felt pretty short tbh. Not sure why I was expecting a different tone. He eventually just offers me a shot. I don't particularly like shots so I kindly slid the remainder of the spilled drink and declined the shot, suggesting that Managment show the next customer a little more grace and respect in tone. Obviously an establishment isn't responsible for spilled drinks and don't have to be kind at all. I get that. But I guess that's what separates a great establishment from a mediocre one just selling drinks and not an experience. Good luck to them.

We planned our wedding from out of state, and this proved to be be a non issue for the staff as they easily set up phone call and zoom sessions with us and our coordinator. We felt the pricing and expectations for what was available and offered to us clear and well explained. This is an amazing space that is essentially a beautiful blank canvas, meaning you can do as much or as little as you wish here. Our day of coordinator helped us secure many vendors to fulfill all the duties of the space, almost all who had worked events here before and had nothing but good things to say. When the day of arrived, we were given free reign of the space and politely checked in with every few hours to see if we needed anything on their end. When the wedding kicked into full gear we had a small unexpected hiccup (outside their control), which they promptly worked to fix and followed up with us after the wedding. I really felt they did an amazing job with customer service and providing a clean, open space to make our dreams a reality. We brought in two food trucks, and two drop off catering to which the space lended well. The house bar staff was great and the whole day truly was a dream. TLDR; This is an amazing space, that really lets you fulfill all of your DIY dreams. It's beautiful enough on its own, but lends well to any additions you want to bring in. The house staff was great and we would definitely recommend to friends and family!

It's velvety, with cocoa nib spice notes and a creamy head. Taste each layer individual then together it was amazing. Beyond the drinks, the service made the night exceptional. Happy hour thankfully runs everyday, as opposed to the usual weekday only HH; I believe it's from 4-7PM. There were two bartenders who were both attentive and really nice. A bit of a random location away from the more restaurant-packed blocks, but thoroughly enjoyed stopping in!
