Absolutely one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. We…read morewere met by a friendly and smiling front of house, who told us we didn't have to pay for parking, then asked us if we wanted to upgrade our rooms we declined politely, and we were then led to two separate bedrooms (204 and 203), both of which were light, spacious and perfectly adequate for a base for exploring Warwick and Kenilworth. One of the great advantages to this hotel was that our two rooms were connected by a beautiful, deliciously decorated communal lounge leather sofas, glass roof, flat screen tv, all decorated sumptuously in crimson and gold. After some exploration of Kenilworth, we all really enjoyed relaxing in this room with a bottle of wine and some music on the television. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were only too happy to accommodate some of our slightly fussy requests (I wanted beans with my full breakfast, which didn't come as standard but they were only too happy to get it for me, and they also accommodated my friend who wanted a sausage sandwich, not the egg or bacon sandwich as advertised on the menu). Yes, the hotel is a townhouse, and a little old and faded, but the value for money makes this absolutely one of the best hotels I have stayed in. So nice to go to a place far from home, and still feel like home.

5 Star Country House Hotel... What more do I need say?…read more But I will say something, no point in doing a review other wise ;o) I stayed at this Country Hotel a number of times quite a few years ago. At the time it was like stepping into another world, a 5 Star world. Set in acres of rural countryside it gives you the feeling of being Lord or Lady of the manor. The rooms are in affect self contained luxury apartments. The AA two rosettes restaurant provides a variety of menu options both at lunch and for dinner. From a two course lunch to a seven course evening meal there will always be something to suit you on offer. The staff are always polite and attentive and the service they deliver is exemplary. I would highly recommend staying here and sampling the high life even if it's just for one night.

Give it a go even if for the one off special event. Sorry, sounds like an advert.... The credit crunch has bitten us a bit, so don't get there that often. "Nuthurst Grange is highly rated in all the hotel and food guides with 3 Rosettes and 3 Red Stars awarded from the AA. It has also added Restaurant of the Year to its many accolades."

They told me I could walk outside at 3 am and no one would do anything to me. Food at the tavern restaurant was good, not amazing but good. My friends who had spa treatments said they were great. The whole estate is so charming. No elevators tho! Uneven walkways throughout. Would go back and would recommend!

Unfotunately there was no individual cakes or cookies available (shock, horror!) but they were able to bring us out a selection of small desserts from their afternoon tea range presented on a slate - how delightful! The desserts were very tasty and went down a treat! The pot of tea was good too. I really felt at home here as I sat in the armchair by the fire. I was impressed by the staff and they explained each dessert in turn. A place I would happily return to again. A walk around the gardens will have to be done too.

I'm with 30 people, ready to spend a minimum of £1,000 and they can't be bothered to figure out how to serve us. If you're looking for a place with a great view, this is your spot. Unfortunately, that's all they'll offer. I also spent £28 on 3 glasses of wine. But the view is wonderful. This property should get 5 stars, but because of the service it gets 3. I'll bet if the servers wages were based on tips like in America, they'd care a bit more.

The bathroom looked gorgeous, but our drain was clogged, so we were standing in filthy water. Also, as the water backed up, it came close to overflowing the (very low) lip of the shower, so when we showered we had to turn the water off every 30-60 seconds to let it drain, and to avoid overflowing the shower. We were both exhausted, so we dealt with it, then told the front desk when we checked out. We were told they'd snake the tub. ‍
