This was my second year attending the Farm Chicks show and let me say, this year was better than…read morelast year! If you love to see creativity at it's best, please come to the Farm Chicks show. It just makes for a fun girls weekend. Last year was my first trip to Spokane and it's a much more charming town that I thought. Lots of funky thrift shops here and in Coeur d'Alene (which is barely 30 minutes away). You can take one day for junkin' and one day for the Farm Chicks. It's $6 for both days and bring your camera and a notebook because you'll want to write down all the cute ideas you find. My find of the day at the show was a $10 vintage watch from http://www.athingforroses.blogspot.com/. Be prepared to wait outside for a few to get in - my friend took a picture of the line to get in, which I will try and snag and post. But it's one of those lines where you talk to everyone in it - which makes it fun. Also, I would recommend bringing cash if you are going to buy - not too many places took cards. However, I still enjoy walking into one and shop one in a while. This is a large mall and is esthetically pleasing. There are many stores and shops. To name a few: -Marshalls -Barnes and Noble -JCPenney -Kohl's -Regal Cinemas -Zumies -Rue21 - Trampoline Park -Ashley Furniture -and many more to include food options. This is the CUTEST second hand store in downtown Spokane…read more It FEELS like a nice boutique unlike many other second hand stores - the store is organized, clean, well presented, and all the clothing is tagged with hand written tags. The clothing quality is great and the prices feel like you are also getting a steal. Love to support small second hand businesses :) They have a loyalty program too. Final sale for everything.

This mall is surprisingly large... And surprisingly... Alive?…read more Stepping into this mall is a little bit like stepping into a time warp. I haven't been to a mall that was this full in a number of years. Not only were there a lot of people, but there weren't very many empty storefronts. Which I feel is a rarity in recent years. Like I said the small is absolutely huge. The parking lot is huge. It takes quite a bit to walk around the whole mall and see all of the shops. They have all the standard shops that you would expect: Pandora, Macy's, Hot topic, Spencer's gifts, there's even a great board game store. So why four stars instead of five? There are two main reasons for this. The first reason is that while there are a lot of stores, and there are the majority of the stores that you would expect, the mall is missing a few key stores that are needed. Specifically a toy store. There are several stores in the mall that have a small toy selection, but there isn't a store in the mall that just sells toys, and just sells like Legos. A LEGO store would be a great addition to any mall, I don't know if the Spokane Valley Mall is large enough to warrant the Lego store, but this mall needs a toy store. There is a Toys R Us section in the Macy's, but it's one of the smallest Toys R Us sections I've seen in any Macy's I've been in. Oh! And there's a great indoor playground at the end of the mall that you have to pay for. But there's also a great free play place down by the indoor playground. Both are good options for small kids. The second thing that brings this mall from four stars to five stars is the food court. I get that food courts are a weird proposition in 2025, but the pickings here are pretty slim. And other than Sbarro there's none of the staples that you would expect from a food court, although there is a cinnabon located elsewhere in the mall. There's also a large movie theater right by the mall, which is nice, it's also surrounded by a bunch of other stores that you're probably looking to shop at like Old Navy, Barnes & Noble, Dick's sporting goods. It's also surrounded by a bunch of restaurants like Red Robin, Buffalo wild wings, black house steakhouse. So if you're looking for a good mall experience definitely check this mall out. Don't forget to stop by my favorite store uncle's games.

Anyway, we both bought a piece of jewelry as it is one of those places that has such a special selection, you just can't pass up the opportunity. A few month later, I realized that the pair of earrings that I bought had two stone missing in it. So I contacted the manager of the store. She said they have a 6 months warranty or window to return an item and I was in the window. The piece of jewelry That I had purchased was a Art Deco design with various crystalline stones. To make a long story short, I returned them and asked that they please repair them because I had grown so fond of them and just for you to know, they do have a jeweler that can do repairs! Today I received my earrings in the mail and they look amazing! The manager and assistant manager served me well and I want the future customers to know that it is a great place to shop, an experience will be had and you will have the whole team stand behind the product! I will return next time I am in town to thank them personally!
