Days Inn by Wyndham Sweetwater - 1 King Bed Room

We actually were planning to stay for the night at Quality Inn West. (But, I will post that bizarre…read morereview separately on their site). We decided since this hotel was nice looking on the outside, and had some pretty good reviews. We stopped in (approximately 7:00 pm). Veronica (front desk) was exceptionally nice. We asked for a bottom floor room. She had a (1) bed and a (2) bed available. I'm REALLY picky on a NICE clean updated room. (I really didn't expect it at a "Day's Inn")... But, we were pleasantly surprised. Veronica said the owner keeps this hotel updated and freshly remolded regularly. Another surprise was the price of a (1 Queen bed 2 Adults)... Only $80 bucks total. The rooms looked practically new. BTW...Veronica showed us both rooms b4 making the decision to stay the night. We did not eat the complimentarily breakfast (No fruits, old boiled eggs from yesterday, and packaged sweets). Coffee was out, so... one of the Patel's poured a little more grounds into the old filter). We walked next door to McDonalds and bought breakfast. Add the $10 breakfast cost to the $80 room rate. $90 was the real cost of the room.

These are like brand new mattresses, and they're the really comfy memory foam. They have nice TVs. Everything is in good shape. The price is right to. The same hotel in St. Louis would cost $200, but this was less than $100. The lady operating the front desk was courteous, efficient, and professional. This is a nice little hotel.

The beautiful fresh produce complimented the expertly cooked and seasoned proteins. There wasn't a single thing we ate that we didn't enjoy. In between meals, we made sure to stay active to earn our appetite. The property offers access to great trails in the Smokies which we took advantage of as well as a lovely outdoor pool with a view. The room itself was pleasant as well. It was hard to leave the luxurious king bed every morning. The heated floors in the bathroom and the comfy sitting area made our Holly Springs cottage suite the perfect home base. We were also assigned our own golf cart to get around the property (although we chose to walk mostly to take in the views). Service was top notch and the staff were wonderful. Every evening they surprised us with a little treat for our anniversary which was very thoughtful. We couldn't have asked for a better stay!

We decided to take the plunge and we are so happy we did. It's a 3 night minimum and frankly a great idea to take it all in. We enjoyed the following activities ; Fly Fishing, wine tasting , the spa , a farm tour , & tomato tasting. All were spectacular and unique to themselves. The culinary experience is nothing short of a Michelin experience for dinner. The price is all inclusive , sans your alcohol. The service is world class and the staff makes you feel so welcome. Whether it's a special occasion or a bucket list item , I would say it's a must in your lifetime !! Side note- We thought this would be a one and done. However, the level of experience and ability to unplug was extremely therapeutic. Hope you enjoy the review by LIKING it and sharing feedback :).

Stopped here on a cross country motorcycle trip. This was a good cheap place that staged us to be able to ride the Cherohala Skyway first thing in the morning. Like 99% of hotels, they allowed us to leave the bikes up under the covered check-in area which I always appreciate especially when there is rain coming. Check in was fast and easy but getting into my room was another issue. I couldn't get the inside door...yes, this place has inside and outside doors which is pretty odd...to open with my key. I ended up using the outside door to get in. We used the pool and tried the cards again and had to swipe them about 5 times to get the door to open...I think the card reader is worn out like most of the hotel. Pool area has a hot tub with kids playing in it despite the rules. Front desk will shut it down right on the minute they have posted to close. There are lights on the wall that flash on and off non-stop in the pool area. A bit annoying for a dimly lit space. Nevertheless, the pool and hot tub were fine and we appreciate that they had one and it was open. It's also an indoor area. We were hoping our room would have cooled down after our dip in the pool but our AC did not work very well. I had to set it to 61º to get it down to 70º inside. It would just kick on and off randomly and the fan would not stay on for ambient noise when it was set to "on" and not "auto." I reported this to the front desk when I went down to ask for two extra pillows, a request that was denied because "people steal them." I let the sleeping worker know that we were on bikes and had no where to put hotel pillows nor any desire to take nasty old small pillows, but still, request denied. She didn't seem to care about the AC not working either. Around 1130p the front desk called us...I thought maybe they had changed their mind about the pillows. I couldn't get the phone to answer because it was broken. It would ring but when you picked it up the button that detects the headset being lifted was jammed down in a position that couldn't be freed so after a second call I had to walk to the desk. They just wanted to let me know I had a light on my motorcycle, I told them it was a parking light to keep other drivers from bumping it at night and appreciated them letting me know but would have appreciated some pillows more. Breakfast was pretty bare bones...just things like eggs and bagels. Not the biggest selection. The coffee was pretty bad. It was as if they had reused the used coffee grounds to make more. Probably wouldn't stay here again.

Review for Quality Inn Sweetwater West…read more I would not recommend staying at this hotel. I traveled to Tennessee to visit a family member who had just undergone a major amputation. I stayed here with my 77-year-old mother and my sister, who has back issues, because it was close to where my family was staying. On the morning of 4/24 around 8:30 a.m., I sat in the desk chair in our room and leaned back slightly. The chair immediately tipped over because a wheel was missing, causing me to fall hard to the floor. I hit my leg on the arm of the chair and my head against the wall, leaving me with a large knot on my head and significant bruising on my right side. This was a serious safety issue that could have been much worse. We reported the incident later that afternoon and requested an incident report. We did not receive any follow-up. At checkout on 4/27, I asked about the incident. The clerk initially said he knew nothing about it. While looking into it, he found the incident report and read over it. Instead of addressing the situation professionally, he rudely asked why I hadn't said anything to him sooner. I explained that I didn't know who he was and assumed his employee had already reported it, which should be standard procedure. After that, the only resolution offered was a 10% discount on one night for my mother, which was completely inappropriate given the circumstances. In addition to the safety concern, there were several other issues: * Broken hallway access door lock requiring use of an exterior entrance * Pool and spa were overly chlorinated * Spiders in the bathroom * Poor lighting * Loud A/C unit Overall, this was an unsafe and poorly handled experience. I strongly recommend reading reviews across multiple platforms before booking, as our experience did not reflect the expectations presented elsewhere.

I asked my hubby if he wanted to start going again as I had found a room at Tapoco Lodge. Our big joke was it's the *Bougie place*! Well it is bougie where we are from, but it's also comfortable, calm, and very restful when coming back from hot rides with Miatas! From the beautiful Azalea Room to the fantastic eateries and bars in the hotel, you feel pampered and special! Our room was wonderful and there was not only in room coffee, but you could pop downstairs and get a to go cup of hazelnut coffee, tea or hot chocolate! We were cool after a long day, we could pop down for a drink or get some food and not have to leave. Best of all, we personally thought it was quiet. We actually got some decent sleep, which really never happened at Fontana. The mattress and sheets were very comfortable! My only regret would be we really didn't get to use and explore the property as we were at an event. I would recommend Tapoco Lodge to anyone looking for a special experience to enjoy their time, be it a honeymoon or going to the Dragon to ride! It's fantastic!
