Everything was fantastic!! Check-in was quick and friendly, and they found exactly what we needed. (Adjoining rooms, with 2 queens in each room). I've stayed in enough places to know that 2 queens normally connect to 1 king, so this was a SCORE!! One thing I really liked about the room is there are 2 access doors in the room. One to access outside, so you can park your car right outside of your room, and go back and forth from the car in case you forget something. And then there is a door inside of your room that will allow you access to the interior corridor of the hotel. (Front desk, fitness center, indoor pool). Such a convenience!! This was a luxury I can really get used to!! Everything is extremely clean. And I can't say for sure, but the walls must have really good insulation, because the parking lot was about nearly full, so other guests were certainly staying here, but yet we all slept like babies. No noises upstairs, or on either sides of us. Management is extremely helpful. We made arrangements for a little later check out in the morning, and can I tell you, NO ONE came banging on our doors at the crack of dawn asking if we needed housekeeping. Talk about good coordination with the team!! Everyone is extremely gracious, and they really treat you as if you are their personal guest, and welcome you with warm hospitality. There is a gas station/convenience store in the same parking lot, as well as a family diner on the other side of the parking lot. Super convenient for traveling families with lots to do on the agenda. If you're looking for a nice place to stay while planning your trip to The Lost Sea, look no further!! This place was $100/night on Memorial Day Weekend in May 2025 and I would say that it's perfectly priced if not maybe $20 high...either way I've paid more to stay in worse places. Stopped here on a cross country motorcycle trip. This was a good cheap place that staged us to be able to ride the Cherohala Skyway first thing in the morning. Like 99% of hotels, they allowed us to leave the bikes up under the covered check-in area which I always appreciate especially when there is rain coming. Check in was fast and easy but getting into my room was another issue. I couldn't get the inside door...yes, this place has inside and outside doors which is pretty odd...to open with my key. I ended up using the outside door to get in. We used the pool and tried the cards again and had to swipe them about 5 times to get the door to open...I think the card reader is worn out like most of the hotel. Pool area has a hot tub with kids playing in it despite the rules. Front desk will shut it down right on the minute they have posted to close. There are lights on the wall that flash on and off non-stop in the pool area. A bit annoying for a dimly lit space. Nevertheless, the pool and hot tub were fine and we appreciate that they had one and it was open. It's also an indoor area. We were hoping our room would have cooled down after our dip in the pool but our AC did not work very well. I had to set it to 61º to get it down to 70º inside. It would just kick on and off randomly and the fan would not stay on for ambient noise when it was set to "on" and not "auto." I reported this to the front desk when I went down to ask for two extra pillows, a request that was denied because "people steal them." I let the sleeping worker know that we were on bikes and had no where to put hotel pillows nor any desire to take nasty old small pillows, but still, request denied. She didn't seem to care about the AC not working either. Around 1130p the front desk called us...I thought maybe they had changed their mind about the pillows. I couldn't get the phone to answer because it was broken. It would ring but when you picked it up the button that detects the headset being lifted was jammed down in a position that couldn't be freed so after a second call I had to walk to the desk. They just wanted to let me know I had a light on my motorcycle, I told them it was a parking light to keep other drivers from bumping it at night and appreciated them letting me know but would have appreciated some pillows more. Breakfast was pretty bare bones...just things like eggs and bagels. Not the biggest selection. The coffee was pretty bad. It was as if they had reused the used coffee grounds to make more. Review for Quality Inn Sweetwater West I would not recommend staying at this hotel. I traveled to Tennessee to visit a family member who had just undergone a major amputation. I stayed here with my 77-year-old mother and my sister, who has back issues, because it was close to where my family was staying. On the morning of 4/24 around 8:30 a.m., I sat in the desk chair in our room and leaned back slightly. The chair immediately tipped over because a wheel was missing, causing me to fall hard to the floor. I hit my leg on the arm of the chair and my head against the wall, leaving me with a large knot on my head and significant bruising on my right side. This was a serious safety issue that could have been much worse. We reported the incident later that afternoon and requested an incident report. We did not receive any follow-up. At checkout on 4/27, I asked about the incident. The clerk initially said he knew nothing about it. While looking into it, he found the incident report and read over it. Instead of addressing the situation professionally, he rudely asked why I hadn't said anything to him sooner. I explained that I didn't know who he was and assumed his employee had already reported it, which should be standard procedure. After that, the only resolution offered was a 10% discount on one night for my mother, which was completely inappropriate given the circumstances. In addition to the safety concern, there were several other issues: * Broken hallway access door lock requiring use of an exterior entrance * Pool and spa were overly chlorinated * Spiders in the bathroom * Poor lighting * Loud A/C unit Overall, this was an unsafe and poorly handled experience. "If the bathroom didn't make you turn around and leave, the management's attitude definitely would." I would not recommend this place to anyone. The bathroom was absolutely unacceptable -- dirty surfaces, foul smell, and clear signs that it hadn't been properly cleaned in a long time. For the price they charge, basic sanitation shouldn't be optional. Management was just as bad. When I brought the issues to their attention, they were dismissive, unprofessional, and acted like I was the problem for expecting a clean room. While the hotel is showing its age, it's well maintained. Having both exterior and interior doors to your room is simultaneously convenient and disconcerting. Breakfast is eggs/sausage in a chafing dish and a waffle maker. Nothing spectacular, but passable. The pool and jacuzzi were standouts, as well as the price point. Overall recommend. read more

NEVER FELT SO UNWELCOME AT ANY HOTEL - My son and I went here to see some friends in Sweetwater that we had not seen in over a year.after 9 hour drive we arrived late about 8pm. Our friends met us here to hang out for awhile. The lady at desk was very curt and actually followed my son and friends around. Sher said pool closes at 10pm sharp. She also told our friends they were not welcome as guests to swim. We had problem with electronic key not working when we arrived and later the replacement key was giving him problem. She was following and laughed when he tried several times to open with replacement. She rudely ran him out of pool at 10pm. They came back to room and she came and knocked on door saying we were laughing to loud. No music or anything. She said it's "quiet time" after 10 pm. After all this hassle I went to bed and woke up to find evidently we had some critters in our room. Pictures attached. Gross. Complained to manager and showed him the pictures. He gave me 10% back ($9.95 - WOW!) for our trouble and was very argumentative. Will NEVER stay here again. I am senior citizen who has spent time at HUNDREDS of hotels but this was my WORST experience ever! read more

This was everything you would expect from a well run Quality Inn. Staff was friendly, reasonable breakfast, room clean, room did not smell, quiet, reasonable access to electrical outlets, wifi worked, room was clean. However, I can always find a few things that are less than perfect. TV had a smaller screen than most hotel rooms. There was no TV channel listing in the room. Paint on trim around bathroom door was all chipped and needed repainting. All in all, better than expected. read more

Not impressed. There were 2 rooms left when we checked in; a "Pet Room" and a "Jacuzzi Room". The pet room, we were told would "have pet dander & probably smelled like animals." Lovely, way to sell it! The Jacuzzi room was on the 2nd floor & there was a premium charge for it. It was late, we went with the Jacuzzi Room. There was a dead bug on the floor of our bathroom in plain sight. Old, tired, worn decor and a dirty, stained bath mat. No elevator, if you cannot do stairs & baggage, get a 1st floor because there are no luggage carts either. The AC unit was loud, kept waking me up throughout the night. Breakfast was the standard fare, but flies on the coffee pots turned me off & ruined my appetite. Staff was friendly, welcoming & helpful. read more

Pulled in off of the highway after a long day of driving. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely friendly! We booked a single King bed and received a AAA discount (off to a good start). Everything in the room was super clean, and it included a mini fridge and microwave. There was plenty of space for our luggage and the shower head was wide and had great water pressure. In the morning the complementary breakfast ruled- eggs, biscuits and gravy, yogurt, doughnuts, cereal, fresh fruit, waffles, coffee, juice... you get the picture. A great value and a super clean room, what's not to love? read more

This hotel is actually now with Quality Inn signage, right on "New" Highway 68 off of I-75. The hotel boasts a new, fresh remodel of all rooms and the entire hotel itself. This place is also rated by Triple A and you get a great rate when you book through them. I was very impressed by this location. The hotel is extremely clean, in excellent repair and the rooms are really comfy and clean. Flat screen tv with tons of channels, microwave, mini fridge, and nice counter tops in bathroom. The king bed was super comfy and extremely fresh and clean. Management was very friendly, helpful and very on top of getting things done around the property. Free wifi during your stay, and a computer and printer for guests to use in the lobby that all worked great. On premises is an indoor pool and jacuzzi, too! Continental breakfast served daily as well from about 6:30 to 11:00. This is a really great hotel and I highly recommend it. For the price, I've not stayed at a hotel as nice as this one. read more

Made arrangements to stay here with other nurses due to the drive to Sweetwater Hospital. When the reservation was made it was made clear to the booking employee that we would be arriving at various times, due to distance and to please go ahead and authorize/charge the booking credit card. Was told there would be no issue, now after diving 3 hours I am sitting in my parked car in 88 degree weather waiting on the rest of the party because I was told by the desk personnel that "unless I wanted to pay cash or pay in full on a different card that They couldn't help me". This is such a major inconvenience considering that we have already made arrangements to reimburse the member of our party who attempted to pre-pay upon booking. Save yourself some hassle and just book an Air BNB. read more

THE CLERK wouldn't let my boyfriend use the rest room until I paid for our room although we came & asked to check in...besides a big hole in the wall, the room was stuffy & smell unfresh. After checking out, I noticed an xtra$15 dollars charged. When I called I was told they were damaged. AFTER, calling the manager the next day 3(times), he basically told me that bcuz I used it to wipe my shoe off with, that they didn't want to wash them. This was an incredibly bad experience. We booked the room on Kayak, about an hour before we arrived. We got there and 1:tried to charge us again, and when I finally got the front desk to understand that we had already paid for the reservation in whole, he admonished me for using Kayak instead of calling them directly. The room itself was okay, the shower has poor drainage so you shower in about 2 feet of standing water. Breakfast the next morning included sour tasting biscuits and gravy, mediocre eggs and expired yogurt. read more

We arrived on Saturday 08/11 at 6:30 pm. We stayed around 15 mins and left for a party. We came back around 4 am after eating at Huddle House. We left room at 10:30 am for home. Monday morning I get a notice that the Hotel charged me 200.00 for smoking in the room. I called and was told the manager was at Grocery store to call back. I called back an hour later to be told they was busy and he would call me back. I called back after waiting 3 hours to be told the manager was never in and was in Atlanta and the front desk was not sure why I was charged. She called the manager and was told that there was smoking in room. He stated that they found Marijuana in the room some where!! We are both government employees and are drug tested often to start with. We don't smoke and I am disgusted that they would assume that. They claim to have a picture of the Marijuana which i am sure they have used before to charge other people the same. This hotel is used for overflow due to the amount of people that attend this party. I will make sure all 500 people know never to use this hotel. I have had to file fraud charges with my credit card which I use for company travel and now I must wait to use this card for investigation of 90 days. This is a set up and not true. The manager still has not contacted me and did not contact me before charging my card to say what they found and why they was charging me. please stay away from this hotel. I will make sure I continue to post review on every site I can on this matter. We are in our later 40's and I am 50 this is unacceptable to take advantage of us.
