Covered entry area

This place was $100/night on Memorial Day Weekend in May 2025 and I would say that it's perfectly priced if not maybe $20 high...either way I've paid more to stay in worse places. Stopped here on a cross country motorcycle trip. This was a good cheap place that staged us to be able to ride the Cherohala Skyway first thing in the morning. Like 99% of hotels, they allowed us to leave the bikes up under the covered check-in area which I always appreciate especially when there is rain coming. Check in was fast and easy but getting into my room was another issue. I couldn't get the inside door...yes, this place has inside and outside doors which is pretty odd...to open with my key. I ended up using the outside door to get in. We used the pool and tried the cards again and had to swipe them about 5 times to get the door to open...I think the card reader is worn out like most of the hotel. Pool area has a hot tub with kids playing in it despite the rules. Front desk will shut it down right on the minute they have posted to close. There are lights on the wall that flash on and off non-stop in the pool area. A bit annoying for a dimly lit space. Nevertheless, the pool and hot tub were fine and we appreciate that they had one and it was open. It's also an indoor area. We were hoping our room would have cooled down after our dip in the pool but our AC did not work very well. I had to set it to 61º to get it down to 70º inside. It would just kick on and off randomly and the fan would not stay on for ambient noise when it was set to "on" and not "auto." I reported this to the front desk when I went down to ask for two extra pillows, a request that was denied because "people steal them." I let the sleeping worker know that we were on bikes and had no where to put hotel pillows nor any desire to take nasty old small pillows, but still, request denied. She didn't seem to care about the AC not working either. Around 1130p the front desk called us...I thought maybe they had changed their mind about the pillows. I couldn't get the phone to answer because it was broken. It would ring but when you picked it up the button that detects the headset being lifted was jammed down in a position that couldn't be freed so after a second call I had to walk to the desk. They just wanted to let me know I had a light on my motorcycle, I told them it was a parking light to keep other drivers from bumping it at night and appreciated them letting me know but would have appreciated some pillows more. Breakfast was pretty bare bones...just things like eggs and bagels. Not the biggest selection. The coffee was pretty bad. It was as if they had reused the used coffee grounds to make more. Probably wouldn't stay here again.

Roach crawling on phone receiver.

NEVER FELT SO UNWELCOME AT ANY HOTEL - My son and I went here to see some friends in Sweetwater that we had not seen in over a year.after 9 hour drive we arrived late about 8pm. Our friends met us here to hang out for awhile. The lady at desk was very curt and actually followed my son and friends around. Sher said pool closes at 10pm sharp. She also told our friends they were not welcome as guests to swim. We had problem with electronic key not working when we arrived and later the replacement key was giving him problem. She was following and laughed when he tried several times to open with replacement. She rudely ran him out of pool at 10pm. They came back to room and she came and knocked on door saying we were laughing to loud. No music or anything. She said it's "quiet time" after 10 pm. After all this hassle I went to bed and woke up to find evidently we had some critters in our room. Pictures attached. Gross. Complained to manager and showed him the pictures. He gave me 10% back ($9.95 - WOW!) for our trouble and was very argumentative. Will NEVER stay here again. I am senior citizen who has spent time at HUNDREDS of hotels but this was my WORST experience ever!

Dirty bath mat.

Reservation not honored. Desk clerk was the rudest, crudest, and least helpful clerk I've ever encountered. Thumbs down.

If you're considering staying here, turn back now! I stayed…read morehere last night. When I walked in the door the woman at the front desk didn't greet me. Was not friendly. I booked my stay thru Hotels.com the listed price was 49.99 and I had pets. I was charged a pet fee that was not mentioned on any site. I had to pay a room fee of $20.00. After all was said and done I paid $69.04 for the room plus an additional $55.10 for pets. The carpet was nasty with stains everywhere. The vent was hanging off the wall in the bathroom. The bathtub faucet leaked water. Toilet barely flushed. Had to flush several times. It says on the site that there is a microwave, coffee maker and free wifi in the rooms and I didn't have any of the 3. Also said a free newspaper and hand sanitizer would be given to guests. I work nights so I'm up late and sleep during the day. I left late to go get something to eat and came back, turned on the lights and roaches were everywhere. Even on the beds. Just out of curiosity i peeled the sheets back and...you guessed it. Bed bugs. I left in high gear at 3am went to the office to checkout and ask about compensation for the inconvenience and no one was in the lobby. A note on the door said they were out on the property renting a room. And had a number to call. I called 3 times and got no answer. I waited in my car and eventually at 447am she answered and I told her I was checking out because there were bugs everywhere. She never even so much as apologized. She acted mad at me for inconveniencing her. Lol she gave me my reciept and on the reciept it said misc. Charges $38.50, and total paid was $97 and some odd cents. I asked her what the misc $38.50 was and she replied with "its 5 in the morning it's for whatever you say its for." I signed "refused to sign " and left . My bags and things I took into the room are outside scattered around a good ways from the house because roaches travel and I don't want them in my home.

Long story short this place is the slums. Here's why:…read more After waiting about 30 minutes I had to find someone to check us in and she didn't even feel like she wanted to. We go up to our room and start to look around and it is complete trash. The bed sheets were filthy. The lady who changed them (after we requested them to be changed) said it herself that they had not been changed. There were chip crumbs on the bed as proof. The bathroom looks like something a person would kill themselves in, not to mention the showers randomly get ice cold for a few seconds then go back. There is no ice machine in the main building. They have a chest they fill with ice and trust me they don't like filling it up. Thier "continental breakfast" is a plate of off brand debbie cakes that you can only get one. There is a literal person standing there making sure you only get one. The pools are drained....its the end of may. Is 80-100 degrees outside there is no reason for both the inside (which they never showed me where it was) and the outside to be drained. None of the vending machines work so if you want a snack you would have to walk all the way up to the front desk and hope they have something but don't worry they don't. I will save you the trip. THEY DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING. They towels feel like sandpaper (not like it mattered they were utterly disgusting anyways, the mini fridge had black mold in it, the bed sucks. My neck is so stiff if I move it, it will crack. The room is yellow, and the steps on the side of the building smells straight up like espestus. Not only that it has a hole in the top, so hopefully you dont have a child or small feet cause you are SOL. There is no ventilation in the bathroom so if you need to drop something or take a hot steamy shower its just stuck there till it just fades away. Last night one of the grounds keepers was wasted. Oh and dont bring a card, only cash. If not they make you use an atm which charges you about 5-10$ fee depending. All in all this place sucks. Don't do it. Its not worth the 115$ for two nights even though it says 40 bucks a night. Oh and we wanted our money back but we couldn't. You have less than 15 minutes to tell them if not you are SOL. To top it all of she walked away with my debit card...who does that? She didn't ask if she could get any information off of it or what and Idk what she did with it but you just don't do that. That is not ok.

The beautiful fresh produce complimented the expertly cooked and seasoned proteins. There wasn't a single thing we ate that we didn't enjoy. In between meals, we made sure to stay active to earn our appetite. The property offers access to great trails in the Smokies which we took advantage of as well as a lovely outdoor pool with a view. The room itself was pleasant as well. It was hard to leave the luxurious king bed every morning. The heated floors in the bathroom and the comfy sitting area made our Holly Springs cottage suite the perfect home base. We were also assigned our own golf cart to get around the property (although we chose to walk mostly to take in the views). Service was top notch and the staff were wonderful. Every evening they surprised us with a little treat for our anniversary which was very thoughtful. We couldn't have asked for a better stay!

We decided to take the plunge and we are so happy we did. It's a 3 night minimum and frankly a great idea to take it all in. We enjoyed the following activities ; Fly Fishing, wine tasting , the spa , a farm tour , & tomato tasting. All were spectacular and unique to themselves. The culinary experience is nothing short of a Michelin experience for dinner. The price is all inclusive , sans your alcohol. The service is world class and the staff makes you feel so welcome. Whether it's a special occasion or a bucket list item , I would say it's a must in your lifetime !! Side note- We thought this would be a one and done. However, the level of experience and ability to unplug was extremely therapeutic. Hope you enjoy the review by LIKING it and sharing feedback :).
