This location was amazing! John our guide was knowledge and so friendly. He gave us great advice and we purchased a bottle on his recommendation! The GM Katelyn was also excellent! How do you get great service, products, and experience in one location?! I'll definitely return. I inquired about crackers after the wine and cheese sample and Katelyn gave me complimentary packets for my birthday. We stumbled across this experience but I'm so glad we did! John and Katelyn, thanks for helping make my birthday great camo style!

This is one of the stops on the rocky top tasting trail which you can do for free. Five stops gets you this fun water bottle. You get 4 samples to choose from here plus their wine slushies. The Sangria wine slushie was the best followed by strawberry lemonade. I was not a fan of the Vino Rosso, it had an odd taste, but the black and blue was pretty good and I got that to go with the Sangria slushie mix. Service was great and our server was very nice and informative. I didn't enjoy these wines as much as I did the other stops, but the frozen slushies convinced me to get a bottle that's how good they were.

We had such a fun time doing the Rocky Top Wine Trail over our visit and this was the last stop on our tour! We did the free sampling and then purchased a glass of wine to enjoy while we sat outside and took in the the amazing weather and views. We really enjoyed the wine that we tried and the employees were so friendly and helpful and even suggested some dinner ideas for us. We loved the cute butterfly mural they had outside and it was a great photo spot to commemorate our weekend in Pigeon Forge and completing the Wine Trail.

Very nice spot, nice variety of flavors to suit everyone. I'm not typically a wine slushy fan, but I really liked the peach. Don't miss the photo op with the wings on the building. Done by the same local artist that designs their labels.

Free wine tasting. You can pay a bundle for a bus tour but we opted for driving ourselves--with a designated driver. Five vineyards; 4-5 samples at each. Noncomplex wines, no palate cleansers, but engaging hosts and hostesses so a fun time with friends!

These wines were trash, very syrupy and none were enjoyable in our tasting. The people are nice and all but we will not be back.

Ask the Community - Hillside Winery

What precautions have been taken in light of COVID?

Is it dog friendly?

I have been to the winery many times and have never seen animals. I'm sure service animals would be permitted but the front of the winery is a gift shop with lots of trinkets and knickknacks and I'm not sure a dog (outside of a service dog) would…

Tennessee Homemade Wines is a…read morecompany I have loved for years, but this weekend was my first visit at their Tanger Outlets location! They offered a great tasting experience of either 3 free samples or 8 samples for around $10-11 something with tax, which is well worth it if you want to explore their selection. Their new 10th Anniversary Blueberry wine was excellent, and the Bourbon Blueberry was another standout, though both were a little higher priced than what I was looking to spend. I ended up taking home some of my favs - Strawberry, Blackberry, and Salted Watermelon Cider, and I absolutely love all three! They has a deal where if you buy 5, your 6th is free so I took advantage since I was buying for a family gathering. One thing I appreciate is that their wines don't contain preservatives, which gives them a fresh, homemade feel. Just be aware they recommend enjoying them within about six months. The staff were kind, friendly, and helpful throughout the tasting process without being pushy. Whether you're a sweet wine fan or just looking for a fun stop while shopping, this place is definitely worth checking out.

Really enjoyed our afternoon of drinking and fun. Some of the negative reviews are kind of dumb…read more(why would you think you could bring a toddler on this tour?). Yes, tastings are free at most of the wineries and distilleries in town, but you're paying to get to them all safely (and without the hassle of trying to park) and hit them all in the same day. And I witnessed firsthand that we got more options to sample than people who just came in off the street. It sounds like there used to be an issue with one winery not giving full samples, but they are no longer a stop on the tour. We hit around 9 places: -Smith distillery. We liked this place enough that we returned later in the week. Really great service. The sweet tea flavor was a favorite. -Applewood Farm (two stops with wine and cider). I preferred the cider, actually, and it was nice to try something different. The cider slushies were delicious. Time didn't allow us to return her, but if we stay in Pigeon Forge again, I'd like to explore the Farm a little bit more. -Most of the other wineries blurred together, which isn't a complaint. They served really similar wines and even had similar decor. Most specialize in sweet wines, which isn't normally my thing. Tasting them is still fun, though. We bought a couple of bottles along the way. -Old Forge Distillery. We missed the first half of the tour, but there were still a lot of samples, and we came back on our last day, did another tour, and bought some bottles. Oatmeal cookie and elderflower were two favorites. -Mill Bridge Winery. This was my favorite of the wineries. First, it was really pretty inside. The woman who led our tasting was very knowledgeable, and the range of wines was more unique. We bought a bottle of Indian Summer. -Tennessee Moonshine Company (with an attached winery for tasting). Maybe my least favorite of the distilleries, but it was still pretty good and had some unique flavors. -Junction 35. This place was way more modern than the other spots, and it was a good ending to the tour. We wound up coming back here, too. We enjoyed getting to know the other people on the tour. I think there were 22 of us total, which was a decent number. The bus was pretty hot/cramped, but I think that should be a given. We weren't on it for more than 15 minutes at a time, so it wasn't a big deal. I would definitely suggest this tour to other adults looking for a fun way to spend a few hours.

Our whole tour had an absolute blast. We took snacks on the bus for during the drives between to help soak up some alcohol. It also helped cleanse the palate. Would definitely consider doing this again. I think I bought 2 hard ciders, a moonshine, and 4 bottles of wine.

The majority of them were honestly so good, there's something for everyone depending on what flavors you like. I'll admit I'm usually not a fan of anything "milky," but the Chocolate Beignet completely surprised me, I actually loved it! It was unique and definitely one of my favorites from the tasting. The service was great as well, friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was relaxed, and it's a great place to stop if you're in the area. I definitely recommend doing a tasting and taking a few of your favorites home with you!

I love cider and after dropping over $100 on moonshine next door the day before, I didn't want to be tempted. But sure enough, I found myself inside looking at the tasting menu. You can sample 3 ciders for free or pay $5 for 8 samples of cider and 2 cream wines. We chose to pay for the tasting to get a broader range of flavors. Our bartender was nice, efficient, and friendly. Unfortunately, the fire alarm went off and we couldn't talk anymore after that (we were discussing tattoos). When the fire alarms stopped, we went back in and made a deal with the devil. Buy 5 get 1 free. The ciders are DELICIOUS! Oh boy, I might just need to find an AA meeting with how smooth and flavorful these ciders and cream wines are. I highly recommend doing the $5 tasting because it's entirely worth it. I've never heard of a cream wine before but man oh man, do I love them, now! Drink responsibly and enjoy! Cheers!
