There were plenty of pumps for an easy fill-up. Inside, the store was bright and clean, with clean bathrooms as well. We were tempted by the "Fountain Drinks 89-Cents, Any Size" signs, and grabbed a round for the fam', plus some final candies for the road home. But at the checkout different signs read that the 89-Cents deal was only for gas loyalty club members. Since we don't have this chain at home we though awwe, full-price sodas it is. But the kind clerk without question overrode the register to give us road-trip'sters the stellar soda deal. What a sweetheart! We are planning another fall roadtrip to the Independence area, and will stop here again to fill-up, and sign up for the gas club before we do so we can legit partake in bargain sodas next time. :-)

I finally say " I am with DoorDash and I am here to pick up..." and then the women in the neon reflective vest snaps at me "you're just going to have to wait ". So I stand there waiting while noticing the sealed delivery bag no more than 5 feet from me behind the counter. At 1 minute past when the order is promised to be ready I say " may I please have my order?" The woman in the vest becomes irrate. " I told you to wait! I am busy!" And other statements I can't recall. I respond with I did wait. It's late." The other woman behind the counter joins in " you need to unassign yourself from the dash and leave now!" So I get on the phone to report it to DoorDash. While I am on the phone and after about another 5 minutes the woman in the vest comes over and picks up the sealed delivery bag and moves it 5 feet and says" there you go." I do not know why the employees at this location felt it necessary to treat a delivery driver contracted to delivery product from their store to their customer so poorly. I confront him about it and he told me, "what do you want me to do about it the part is unavailable smarta**". I said, " Then tell me that". Then he said "well the parts takes 3 weeks to get". Never tried to fix or inform me that they couldn't fix it, just told me it was done and to send me on my way. I was never once rude or difficult just frustrated on how incompetent this new owner was on being professional. I even recommended they epoxy it considering they couldnt get the part right away for a temporary fix. Couldn't even do that. So after that happened I found the part online at an autozone 10 min away from me and I will be doing it myself. I can not believe I was treated this way. Customers are allowed to enter the store with no face covering and employees including the manager, wears face coverings below the nose and mouth. This place needs a serious cleaning from top to bottom! There were at least 7 people working in there but nobody was cashing people out or cleaning up. It took forever for someone to finally cash people out. Three people were behind the counter and only one was working the lottery line and she was moving so slow. Two customers sat their items down and walked out. Horrible customer service. Avoid this nasty place.
