Speedway poses an imminent threat to public health and safety. The establishment is not complying with CDC and Ohio mandates to limit spread of COVID 19. Customers are allowed to enter the store with no face covering and employees including the manager, wears face coverings below the nose and mouth. The convenient store is filthy dirty including consistently wet and sticky floors, unsanitized checkout counters, and food and beverage stations. Date of Visit: Dec. 24, 2020.

This place needs a serious cleaning from top to bottom! There were at least 7 people working in there but nobody was cashing people out or cleaning up. It took forever for someone to finally cash people out. Three people were behind the counter and only one was working the lottery line and she was moving so slow. Two customers sat their items down and walked out. Horrible customer service. Avoid this nasty place.

Frantic, I walked in and ask the two gentlemen working if they were willing to allow me to venmo/cahsapp money to them directly and then pay for my gas. No questions asked he ran out to get his wallet and was super helpful and didn't even make me feel uncomfortable. With how people can be these days, I was so grateful and relieved they were willing to be so kind. Highly recommend this place as a trustworthy establishment. Thanks again guys!

Prices on items were pretty fair. I even tried my luck at the lottery which I utterly lost money at. Store gets a fair array of customers too. Staff is pretty modest too. I begged him to call the cops so I could prove that it was a real ID and he said doesn't matter I won't sell to you leave my store. I am in town on a business trip was in there for no more than 30 seconds. I have never been treated so disrespectfully terrible terrible service. Do not go. We recently stayed in Independence for a couple nights on a fam' roadtrip. We stopped at this Shell…read morestation on our way out of town to head home. There were plenty of pumps for an easy fill-up. Inside, the store was bright and clean, with clean bathrooms as well. We were tempted by the "Fountain Drinks 89-Cents, Any Size" signs, and grabbed a round for the fam', plus some final candies for the road home. But at the checkout different signs read that the 89-Cents deal was only for gas loyalty club members. Since we don't have this chain at home we though awwe, full-price sodas it is. But the kind clerk without question overrode the register to give us road-trip'sters the stellar soda deal. What a sweetheart! We are planning another fall roadtrip to the Independence area, and will stop here again to fill-up, and sign up for the gas club before we do so we can legit partake in bargain sodas next time. :-)
