Hillside drys caped our yard....WE LOVE IT
Debbie B.

We had hillside dryscape our yard, the only took 4 days the put a few plants and drip system in, my husband found an ore bucket when he was 12 and the used it in the yard...Joe and his crew were wonderful, they backed us out of our drive every time we left. honest and honorable people.

Joe at Hillside landscape did an amazing job on our backyard. He really listened to what we wanted and came up with a beautiful design. This Spring he came back and replaced all the plants that didn't do well over the winter since they finished the job last November. I was planning a backyard party and he surprised me by coming out and making everything beautiful beforehand even though he is really busy. This is a wonderful company and anyone would be lucky to get them. His employees (especially Jacob) are easy to work with and they are very polite and do an excellent job cleaning up every afternoon when they leave for the day. We live in Minden but he was willing to drive out here for this job. We couldn't be any happier! Thank you Joe and Jacob!!!

My first interaction with the paver Company had a rocky start. I won't go into the details however…read morethe person that they sent out first, no longer works at the company. Rob, one of the three executives from the paver Company reached out to me and personally took care of me. Rob Turned this into an excellent experience. Moving forward: I was contacted by a representatives to set up an appointment. His name was Ken Jackson. He arrived promptly at the appointment time and asked me quite a few questions about what I was looking to have done. I told him I wanted to divide the project into three parts. Pavers for my front patio somewhere around 1000 ft.² for the first part. Then replace the cement pad going into the garage and extend the parking area with pavers. Finally if within budget, decompose granite Drive way for my drive-through area. If the price was out of my range, I would prioritize each section. I also let him know that I have five kids and probably since it's in the front of the house, the pavers might be driven on, so best to have the whole project done to take the weight of a vehicle. Finally added on some bullnose steps and lighting for the porch. Ken set about doing all of the measurements. He brought out quite a few sample stones to fit what we needed. We went with a cobblestone mix with sandstone. And a dark gray trim. Ken returned after three days with a quote that was a little bit out of my price range. This is to be expected. When getting bids, we do not know what the market bears. We don't know the profit margin, we basically want pavers and are kinda at the mercy of the sales people. The best thing I can recommend here is get your budget and if you can get everything you want within your budget, don't worry about if you can save a few dollars here or there. I have gone through the Bid process with so many different companies. Window replacement, gutters, new furnace, new water heater, new roof, new water softener, new deck, new kitchen cabinets, new sink, full exterior house paint, and garage door replacement. If you are doing renovation, get plenty of bids. If a salesman is pushy or tells you you have a limited time to get the special... don't be pressured. Just walk away. Inform their superiors if you feel they are out of line. Do research and compare apples to apples. All of this being said, if you want some pavers, I would recommend you giving these guys a shot because they really did a good job presenting high-quality paver experience. Though they are definitely not the least expensive. I would trust them to do the work if I can find a way to pay for it lol

We needed a backyard "makeover" to address several issues. Contacted several landscape businesses…read more We needed ideas! Some wanted us to give them a plan; others wanted a fee ($500-$1500) to come up with a plan; and still others wouldn't let us see their plan until we had agreed to hire them. Ken Jackson from The Paver Company met with us several times to get our thoughts to come up with a plan at no charge and no commitment. Once we agreed to proceed, Juan Gomez, the onsite project manager for The Paver Company and his crew worked hard and quickly and did a great job. They also left the job site clean. Not sure that I have ever seen a more efficient, hard-working crew.

We held off on getting our landscaping completed at that time. I contacted Rick two months later. He came back out and gave me an updated quote. My neighbor got a quote as well. I explained that we were on a budget and we could not go over the price. He was absolutely ok with that, gave us the pricing for the quote two months prior (they had raised their prices at that time) and also gave my neighbor and myself a discount for doing the job the same time! It took a few weeks for them to get started (they told us a date ahead of time so we were aware that there were other jobs ahead of us), and the first step was to do the brick paver patio. It was completed in a few days. The next step was to do our drip system and landscaping which we were told would be the next week on a Friday. I asked if it would be completed by Fourth of July where I was assured that it would. Woo hoo! Well, unfortunately they had some setbacks and didn't get that portion of the job started until the fifth of July, but stuff happens. I was just happy to have our patio set for our fourth party. It took a couple of days to complete that portion. They had a ton of DG leftover and I asked Rick if we would be getting a credit since they didn't use all that we paid for. Yep, they gave us a credit for the unused DG. I'm pleased with all of the hard work they put into our backyard and when it comes time to complete our side (we are doing it in phases), we will have them come back out and complete our yard. Only giving four stars because I think they could do better at communicating in more of a timely manner. I sent emails and it would take a day or two for replies. Overall great job, Summerscape! Thank you!

Not so with Justin and his team. I was treated with the utmost respect and consideration and never, ever felt belittled by them which is fantastic. I was treated fairly and the work was done for a reasonable price. Justin is conscientious and takes pride in a job well done. He'd rather not do something at all rather than to do it incorrectly. He makes sure that the job is done perfectly. He has very high standards, just like I do. Justin always answered my questions with patience, honesty and thorough responses in ways that were easy for me, a lay person, to understand but was never, ever condescending or impatient. Ever! Thank you Justin! Just look at the beautiful work that they did on my fountain and putting green and believe me, when they finished the job, the area was spotless and debris-free unlike it is now in my photos. My fountain was a gift that hadn't been used for ten years so parts of it were brittle and fell apart during installation. Did they say, "We can't install it" or "It's junk and it'll cost X amount of dollars more to get it running?" No!! They got what they needed to fix it for me and didn't charge me a penny more for doing it either. When's the last time you received that kind of service and care? I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HB Landscaping and in fact, I plan to use them again to change my courtyard and to xeriscape the front of my property. I'm so happy that I made a fantastic choice when I picked HB and Justin. I couldn't be happier!

Easy to work with, Awesome follow through, Great Design, Very Professional!…read more Needed to get quotes on pavers, demo and install for our backyard. Did the usual checked yelp and put together a list of 10 companies and asked facebook as well. Century Landscapes name came up so we added them to the list. Called 7/10 to come out and do bids, most were too busy but 3 managed to show up to walk our backyard and chat with some options. First company listened to what we wanted but had zero input more of an order taker versus a design, we opted to tell them to give us a bid and they never followed up despite emails and calls. 2nd company seemed nice but flat out told us work couldn't start till October (we were getting bids before memorial day), so they were out. Century was the 3rd company to come out and we had William listen to what we wanted for about 20 minutes and then add design ideas we didn't even think about. Told him our budget and timeline and he let us know what we could do with both. Final budget was on point not a dollar over the quote. The job itself was about our kids safety we had an old splintered deck, a pond that leaked, a grass border holding back some shale rock (very sharp not kid friendly stuff), and sorry looking grass. The team at century was able to do all the demo in one weekend, and start the prep work for 1500 sq/ft of pavers to replace everything aforementioned, and as an add on William and the design team constructed a great flag stone patio where the sorry looking grass was. Work went fast and when I had a concern all employees on site took the time to talk with me and fix the issue without any of the usual grumbling or difficulty some contract work entails. To summarize spend the time to talk with this company, and you wont be disappointed. Pricing they were right in line with the competition. Quality of work was outstanding. Communication was great (text/email/call they always responded). Thanks for getting our backyard a place we can enjoy with the kids again! P.S. Lady talking about apartments on there review page has to be mistaken I asked century if they do apartments and they don't.
