Liz Grey was so wonderful in helping us purchase a headstone for our beloved Pap Pap. We were unable to be contacted when he passed from a car accident in 1966. This summer I finally found a paper from his funeral. My husband and I went down to pay respect at his grave site. Only to find a marker was never purchased. Liz was so compassionate and helped us find a wonderful marker to give him the proper respect he so richly deserved. I cannot tell you the time and helpfulness she gave us. Planning your future burial is not an easy thing to do, Thankfully Liz Gray was there to help me through the process. All the planning went well thanks to her. Most of my past family members are buried here, the gravesites are neat and clean. It is good to know that thanks to this preplanning of an unpleasant event is all done and over with so that none of my family members will have to do this when it comes the time. We had lots transferred from our parents years ago or I would hesitate for this to be my last resting place. The building were we made arrangements was in terrible condition. The threshold and window sills were rotting. Railings need attention and driveway also needs works. My hope is they take better care of the property than they do this building. Having to plan a funeral is never a fun event. Recently, while planning one for my father in law, we decided to plan our own so our kids would not have to go through this alone. Gina Yost did a great job helping us and is still helping us. I have not given 5 starts yet because we are still working with Hillside. But I wanted to give her a shout out. We have had lots of questions (asking about the good and bad) and she has done her best to get us answers to all of them. She has been honest and friendly and available when needed. The cemetery is one of the few we have relatives burried in Ohio so of course we hoped to also settle here. read more

My Mom,Dad,Brother and Sister are buried here.Last weekend Oct 8th I stopped in to visit and decorate them.(I live in another state ) What a SHOCK TO SEE ALL 4 of the headstones were covered with long grass that had not been weed whacked! I could barely find the headstones! In addition my baby sisters headstone had rock,stone and mud on it from a dug up grave in front of her that still had not been raked out (tons of rocks and stones in the dirt) and was not even leveled out yet. I dropped to my knees and cried hard --what a disgrace that management was not doing its job and making sure this was taken care of. It took me an hour and a half to pull the long grass off the flat headstones and also the rocks,stones and dirt off my baby sisters headstone! My baby sister died in 1966 and I have been coming to this cemetery since than--NEVER NEVER have I ever experienced this!! I had just visited my other sisters headstone in Holy Cross cemetery 5 miles away before I drove here and hers was well taken care of !! After grass pulling and cleaning I decorated and stood there and looked around before getting in my car and I noticed all the other headstones that were covered by the grass! This place used to keep it nice--it has now went downhill fast!! My mother is buried in the flat section behind the administration building. Each spring her grave is covered with two inches of water and when water recedes the flat marker is covered with dirt. I have literally walked through two inches of water to visit her grave. I think this is the height of disrespect to our loved ones. Do not consider this cemetery for the final resting place for those you care about. read more

Do not have your loved ones buried here. They throw YOUR BELONGINGS away and don't give you notice. The family picks up belongings before mowing and replaces them every week. For some reason this week they threw everything out, even the marker to show where he was buried. This was not even close to mowing day either. How inconsiderate can someone be?! They leave tire marks by driving over your loved ones. I am very upset with this place. When you lose a loved one, this should be the last thing you have to worry about. Such a shame! read more

The section of the cemetery that my parents are in is covered in water in the spring. It is the south east corner. This is an on going problem that no one seems to care about. I'm sure my parents did not expect to be buried in a mud hole when they purchased the graves. I was there on Saturday before Memorial Day and found that a good number of the grave markers are completely or partially covered with dried mud and leaves. This completely unacceptable! There is no reason that maintenance couldn't have cleaned this area up! Probably they couldn't do it because it was all under water until recently. It is deplorable that nothing has been about this problem! read more
