I researched the cost of the tire and Discount Tire cost was in the mid $300 range. I took my car there, I was prepared to pay for a new tire. But when Discount Tire checked it out, they were honest and told me that my tire was totally repairable and they would repair it for no charge. So, I instructed them to move forward with their professional recommendations in an effort to rectify the noise. Two days later, I received a call, and I was informed that everything suggested had been fixed, but upon a test drive a slight noise was still noted. So, then I was asked if I could leave my car there until Monday for further assessment. Monday, I received a call indicating that what they had previously fixed was not the actual source of the noise, so several additional repairs were recommended. Long story short, my car is now making a louder noise and appears to be in worse condition than it was before I took it this place. Furthermore, the owner was rather nonchalant regarding my concerns, and his only suggestion was to spend more money to fix additional things. Took, my vehicle to obtain a second opinion and the mechanic was instantly able to identify the source. So, this leads me to believe that initially they lied about the source of the noise, so they could get more money.

I would not recommend Rios Auto Repair based on my experience. In September 2025, I purchased a…read moreused transmission for my 2004 Toyota Sienna from this shop for $2,200, with a 90-day warranty. When I got my van back, I immediately noticed that the transmission was jerking while driving. I contacted the owner, Juan, and we went on a test drive together. The same problem occurred right in front of him, yet he insisted that it was normal and that nothing was wrong with the transmission. I asked Juan to take the van back into the shop and make adjustments because I knew something was not right. About a month later, I contacted him again and explained that nothing had changed. I even told him that I seriously doubted the transmission would last a year. Unfortunately, my concerns turned out to be justified. The transmission has now failed completely. When I contacted Juan to ask what he could do to help, his response was that I should have brought the van back and that the 90-day warranty had expired. What frustrates me the most is that I DID bring the problem to his attention while the warranty was still relevant. I reported the jerking, went on a test drive with him, and contacted him again when the problem continued. Despite all of this, my concerns were dismissed, and the problem was never resolved. Now I am out $2,200 for a transmission that failed, and I feel that my concerns as a paying customer were not taken seriously. I understand that a used transmission comes with a limited warranty, but when a customer reports a problem and demonstrates it to the owner, I believe that concern deserves to be taken seriously and properly addressed. My biggest disappointment is not just that the transmission failed. It is that I spoke up about the problem, gave the shop opportunities to address it, and feel that nothing was done. I am sharing my experience so other vehicle owners can make an informed decision before spending their hard-earned money here. Based on my experience, I would not return to this shop. Juan is ripping people off.
