This is a terrific clean city park! Free and open to the public, it features the "Tomato Splash…read morePad", a wonderful fenced water play area for children with squirting devices of several kinds centered around a giant tipping tomato that fills with water. We spent several hours here, our child loving playing with all the different devices and the array of young children that came through. Leamington is very multicultural and the visitors reflected that in a really wonderful way. Most of the children there were in the 1 - 7 year-old range, with a few well-behaved teenagers wandering through for a quick soaking from the tomato. The rest of the park includes an excellent play structure with a deeply cool teeter-totter device (three sections moving opposite to each other - go check it out!), swings, and lots of picnic tables up in among beautiful old trees. There is plenty of open grass for playing, too. The park includes a nice section of waterfront with a sandy beach along Lake Erie. Unfortunately, recent rains appeared to have overloaded local sewage treatment facilities and the beach was closed to swimming due to E. Coli contamination and smelled terrible. It's separated from the rest of the park by a parking area and grassy section, so the beach problems did not affect the rest of the park in the slightest. Cheers to Leamington for providing such a delightful public park to its residents! We enjoyed it as much as they clearly do.

I was excited to eat here since I saw that they have broasted chicken on the menu. I checked their…read morebusiness hours and noted that their garden is open until 5 p.m. and their kitchen is open until 6 p.m. We arrived around 4:50 p.m. and saw that there was staff standing at the entrance to the garden. It gave the impression that they were guarding the entrance and that customers were not allowed to browse their plant selection, even though the store had not closed yet. We went over to their restaurant section and ordered at their kitchen order counter. I heard the cashier tell another customer that the dining room was now closed and they would have to get their food to go. When we ordered, I asked if we'd be able to eat there and was told that would not be possible. It was odd, as I saw people sitting at a table and getting their food delivered to their table. I inquired with the staff that brought out the food if it'd be alright for us to eat there, and she said yes. The broasted chicken we got was tasty, but slightly on the salty side. The broasted potatoes were a letdown. It was soft and not crispy at all. It seemed like since it was almost the end of the day, we were given what had been sitting around and not a fresh order. We had gotten an order for three pieces of broasted potatoes and were given five. Once again, we suspect this was because it was closer to the end of the day and they just wanted to get rid of it. The tossed salad did not look like it was tossed. The lettuce was stuck together (and perhaps had not been washed). Upon leaving, I overheard a customer confirm with staff that the kitchen closes at 6 p.m. and there are still thirty minutes until then, so there is no reason why they could not enjoy their food there.

The atmosphere is lovely. Walking around seeing all the plants is so refreshing. The kids have an…read morearea to play at the arcade. There is also a petting zoo and outside playground. The food is pretty good. Fries are fresh, the skin of the chicken was nice and crispy.

Colasanti Tropical Gardens - A little fall fun with our chickens. They did a great job carving, or should we say 'pecking' this design.

This location at the Central Park Athletics is fairly new, this used to be the Windsor Ice Rink years ago, and I have since moved back from London a few months ago and have seen the change. The building itself inside is vast and has lots of immensities for people and families of all kind, it's a no judgement area, not like a gym where all you see is buff people working out seemingly judging you. It's nice to have access to the equipment I liked to use at Goodlife for workouts, and the weight area. It's nice because it's not busy during the weekdays at all and it's a nice quiet environment to work out in. The staff are really nice and they're knowledgeable about events, and were very clear about things when I signed up. As for monthly membership fees, if you're on a fixed income or a family rate, you get a certain discount that you can afford, which I still need to sign up for because I'm still paying more than what I did at Goodlife. This facility is clean, it has a basketball court, a pool, family changing rooms as well as men and women's. Friendly staff, good working equipment, they have a weight room, cardio area is always clean and they have a disinfectant spray and cloth to wipe the equipment off when you're finished using it. What a great place to come to for a judgement free workout and a place to feel like you belong.

This a decent workout place. Relatively new facility. Clean. Most importantly family oriented.read more
