Belle Isle is a beautiful island located just off of the coast of Detroit and in the Detroit river. We took the time to drive around the island and took in the views of the water and parks and lakes that were inside the island. Once we arrived to the yacht club, the security guards were very friendly and approachable and we gave them our names and parked. All of the staff amazed me. The bartenders were fantastic, and even the servers were able to bring us additional food Even though we probably were not meant to have multiple bread baskets. The sunset over the water and the marina outside was just the icing on the cake to a beautiful venue. I would love to be a member here!

My besties birthday was the perfect 2 hour tour, loaded up with her closest 25 friends! We were able to bring coolers - no bottles. There was a bathroom on board, emergency use only. Remember - pack a light cooler, it's only 2 hour sessions! :) The waiting areas had plenty to do; corn hole, photo ops, chilling area. Aloha really does a nice job here. Everyone must sign a waiver and they keep you updated as to how many still need to sign up. Parking is tricky, there is a link to pay, so have it done before you arrive for easy access. The breeze and the water made it very comfortable even on the decks enjoying the sun. We boarded at the Jefferson Beach Marina in St. Claire Shores. The Ovation yacht is three levels of accommodations for 300 people. The event was perfect with a DJ on the top level with an open bar. The second level was the food, lounge areas, photo booth and open bar. The third level was the live band and more food. It was a beautiful day to enjoy the waterways and views of the boats plus the shorelines of both countries. A trip down the Detroit River is such a pretty sight.
