My mother's rapidly failing health did give us time to work with Roberts to co-ordinate transfer of her body to Wadsworth from my sister's home in another city, anticipate the church service with a reception at the church afterwards and for the family to write the obituary they wanted published. We were assured that all was in place weeks before my mother's death. BUT --- when the time came --- there was confusion in transporting the body, the church was unaware of the need for a funeral mass, no reception could be organized and the obituary was NOT the one the family had written with much thought and consideration, rather was it was as much fiction as fact --- making errors in her place of birth, names of children and how the grandchildren were to be acknowledged. To top off the disarray --- the website referenced in the published obituary was unable to accept condolencences or messages to the family should anyone try. There was such discrepancy from the organization we had been lead to expect with such advance notice and the lack thereof at such a stressful moment, it is not possible to recommend their services. Hillcrest Memorial Gardens is a beautiful resting site, but use another funeral home.

Everything was set up well for the memorial. I didn't realize that I would be viewing an open casket so I definitely cried alot upon seeing my friend's body but I'm happy that he knew God. What a moron- I knew it was a private service and I wasn't going to crash it as I live 18 hours away. However, the florists need to know where the flowers are to go and without him telling me which, it has turned into a debacle. The flowers did NOT arrive at the funeral. The 1-800 flower agency said the funeral home wouldn't receive the flowers. The funeral home said the florist didn't have the flowers we'd ordered. And after all the bologna, no one (not e 1-800 service, not the funeral jome, not the local florist) has called to let us know that the ball has been dropped. Why in the world the fella at the funeral home wouldn't even let us know what location the funeral would take place is beyond me.
