Our family has entrusted Hillcrest to care for many of our relatives since 1960. Double digit…read morenumbers of family members have buried there. We will not bury another one. Our most recent burial witnessed a member of the grounds crew desecrate the memory of our brother who was having his ashes buried on that day. This employee took a floral arrangement that had been set up on a table as we prepared for a committal service and threw it into the open cremation grave. We were mortified and when we complained to the cemetery office we were told basically "we do our best". Are these the same employees that are unloading the remains for the crematory? We are not going to take the chance.

Despite this mix, Busch was lovely to deal with and quite compassionate and understanding and handled my mom as well as possible. My dad passed 2 days before Christmas and Busch helped us through all the "things" that need to be done and held our hands every step of the way. The memorial service was just perfect and the Busch people were there to make sure every need was met and the service processed seamlessly. My dad was cremated and they were able to offer us an eco-friendly urn that we will use to release Dad's cremains in Lake Erie this summer. While it will be a sad occasion, it will be exactly what Dad would have wanted.
