This employee took a floral arrangement that had been set up on a table as we prepared for a committal service and threw it into the open cremation grave. We were mortified and when we complained to the cemetery office we were told basically "we do our best". Are these the same employees that are unloading the remains for the crematory? So I called my back up option and boy am I glad I did. They quickly came and offered their condolences. They were very sensitive to us. They even told us to let them know when we were ready to close the bag. Upon leaving they gave us a card and told us to call to set up a time to come in. The following day my brother and myself went to the Steinbauer funeral home in Solon to meet them and pay for our direct cremation (unbeatable price btw). They were professional, helpful and informative throughout the whole process. The guy that lives on the premises (tim maybe) even offered to get a lock of hair for me. Something so small and intimate yet I was to bewildered to think of it but I am so glad I have it. They walked us through the process and gave a us a loose timeline on what happens next. I already had an urn and cremation jewelry (they did not mind putting ashes in the extra pieces) to leave with them. The day of the memorial I went to pick up the urn but there was some confusion and it wasn't quite ready. I was able to take the urn with me to the memorial but would need to return for the paperwork. The guy that lived on the premises (Tim maybe) said we could stop by after the memorial regardless of the time and he would take care of us. We showed up at about 1030pm or so and he was so gracious. I would say that they went above and beyond for us and I would recommend their services to anyone.

I was in the funeral industry for years so i understand what is needed for good customer service and to help a family have arrangements completed efficiently. Took hours for them to come to transport the body to the crematory. I had to track down the funeral director for the paperwork needed for cremation to take place. The remains were not ready when the funeral director said we could pick them up. I had asked for fingerprints to be obtained and after many negatives i wouldn't believe they would even be hers. Don't use this service unless you want more stress at an already stressful time.

I felt that the living as well as the deceased was treated with so much respect. The service was beautiful and the room was comfortable. The flowers around the coffin was arranged so beautiful. When it was time to leave to the cemetery, everything was done in an organized fashion. I'm so happy that one of the employees from the funeral home politely came to my car door to make sure I had my lights and flashers on. I'm a bit upset. When I dropped off my beloved cat, I was greeted by a super friendly gentleman, he took her in so I didn't have to go inside (I was extremely distraught as I have never lost a pet before and I was stressing out about having her cremated as well.) I was told she would be back Tuesday or Wednesday of the following week and I would receive a call when she was ready. I waited and never heard back by Wednesday afternoon so I called, I was told I would get a call back. It never happened. I called a few times and was so stressed out about the whole situation that my friend began calling to find out when my cat would be back. They never returned her calls either. By Saturday I was really upset, my friend was finally able to get a hold of someone and was told that they had told me the day prior my cat was ready to he picked up. Now mind you I never called after Wednesday, my friend did and she never got any calls or any call backs. She called me and told me my cat was finally back and I drove right over. They are extremely friendly here but not good at returning calls which is extremely upsetting. That was the first part that upset me. The other was that my friend made sure to ask if possible could they get a paw print and she would pay the extra cost. No one called to tell her if they were able or not to do so, she as also told that the package she purchased would have a hair clipping. I did not get any clipping. Had I known that would have been the case I would have done it at home. I know they outsource for the cremations but I'm still a bit shaken by what I went through just to find out what was going on. The little urn they return your pet in is nice so there's that. For everything I went through I think I'll go to the APL next time it's a pet cremation. Like i said they are very nice in person good luck getting a phone call back tho.

The Fazzan family had done business here sadly, for other family members and this is where we went. To say I was grieving was an understatement I was in shock and disbelief for a long time. It had been many years.Unless you've gone through it you have no idea. My hand holds everyone who has said goodbye to a loved one.But I have to say that the Rybicki family was amazing. Professional, knowledgeable, and when you're grieving you may not always notice the subtle acts of kindness. Well,I did.
