He left and got the extra stuff needed. Cut the sheetrock to make sure the outlet was snug and after working, HE vacuumed all the residue stuff on the floor (even tho my garage wasn't the tidiest) Courteous, Conscientous and competent! I waited a week for an appointment as they were "understaffed" that week. I was told I would be taken care of "first thing Monday morning" - actual appointment was for 9:30am. At 10:30am, no one has shown up and I have received no calls. I called the office and was told my technician called in sick over the weekend, BUT they got a sub. "If he has not shown up or called you by now - maybe he can't make it. I guess I will have to call him". After about 10 minutes Mr Olsen called back and INFORMED me that the tech was "not going to be able to make it today" and we would have to reschedule. I don't think so. I called Fisk Electric 972-466-0900 at 11am SAME DAY. They were here at the appointment time of 1pm SAME DAY. My issue was handled by 2pm SAME DAY. On time, efficient, friendly, knowledgeable and reasonable. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH OLSEN.

One more thing worth adding: I kept the handwritten options sheet the tech left behind, and looking at it now tells the whole story. Six tiers from $852 to $16,100, with monthly payment numbers written under every single one to keep your eyes off the totals. The top tier stacks three separate surge protection packages on the same quote and includes a "Factory Panel Refresh," which isn't a standard electrical service. Smoke detectors, USB outlets, and bubble covers (all inexpensive parts) are bundled in at premium pricing. Even the bottom "Economy" tier of $852 to replace one breaker is double what it should cost. I paid $512 which is way overpriced. This isn't diagnosis, it's a sales script. Why did I pay? I didn't know. I also was not able to use my office until this bad breaker in my electrical panel was fixed and I work from home.

They isolated the problem to a faulty toggle switch with built-in dimmer slider. They didn't have an exact replacement. By fiddling wires in the wall and setting the dimmer to a certain spot they got the assembly to not continue shorting. When they left, I was missing a wall plate screw in a highly visible area. I later discovered that 1/4 of the house (different area) had no power, including the security system, as they hadn't reseated a breaker they had shut off during troubleshooting. Weeks later the furnace guy found the attic light had been left on the whole time. The Cotton bill for that minor service (with no repair) was more than my monthly pension payment. I will never call Cotton again.

A few networking outlets need to be finished up and some of the TV's need to be hung (3 remaining). I can't tell you how highly I recommend Spencer and Sharif. These guys are intelligent, professional, well-spoken, hard-working, and give you a written quote that they stuck to. Both are incredibly talented and have the know-how of installing networking, wiring, home-theaters, etc. Spencer wanted me to install a home-theater using non-Bose equipment. That's okay. I'm a big Bose guy and wanted Bose--but that isn't because Spencer is anti-Bose. He just wanted me to get the most current, modern system possible. My issue was I already owned all this Bose and (older) Pioneer SXV-90 and Sony equipment. They worked in the middle of the Texas summer--in my home and attic. Did a phenomenal job. Spencer did inform me they're moving to a "per-hour" rate. He quoted me a $150/hour rate for my upcoming installations. It works out about the same as his prior quote. I TRUST THESE GUYS. I ENJOYED THEIR WORK ETHIC, THEIR CONVERSATION, THEIR INTEGRITY, AND HONESTY.
