Every staff member was extremely warm, friendly, welcoming, and very encouraging that I was going to have a very satisfactory experience having my cataracts corrected at their facility Upon our arrival, Mary, the Lobby Host greeted us. Mary was very friendly and helped explain to me what I should be experiencing ahead by sharing her own experience. The process took two days. The doctors and the staff did the surgery were just excellent, top notch, and extremely experienced. For anyone considering cataract surgery and not sure where to choose or who to go to, to have this done, you couldn't do any better than choosing Eye Specialists of Indiana for success and complete satisfaction with the procedure. After care and follow up appointments after the surgery were also excellent with the staff! Conclusion: I opted to go with their plan B for distance. I have worn contacts and glasses for distance for 60+ years, but no more. My vision is now is better now than even when I had to use corrective lenses! Then they bill me for more money afterward without any mention of extra charges before hand. I refused to pay it as a result. Now every time they resend the bill it's for a different amount. I've been having trouble with my eye's ever since and see reflections out of the corner of mu right eye and I see what looks like a hair floating around in my eye but it's not a hair. I'm barely getting by on retirement and I can't afford this. They have just sent me a letter telling me they are handing it to collections for $155.00. This place sucks

I've been a patient of Dr. Wentz for many years now, and he has been fabulous diagnosing several issues with my eyes. Dr. Wentz has performed cataract surgery on both eyes, diagnosed the hole in my retinal, and then referred me to a surgeon in Carmel who resolved the problem. I had LASEK surgery with Dr. William Keeling at Indiana Eye Clinic in Indiana in 2017/2018. Prior…read moreto this, I had been a patient of Dr. Keeling for most of my life, and my mother was also a patient there. Because of that long-standing relationship, I trusted him completely with my vision and my care. Before surgery, I had multiple consultations with Dr. Keeling. I was told that I was an excellent candidate for LASEK. After surgery, I carefully followed all post-operative instructions and attended many follow-up appointments. Throughout those appointments, I repeatedly reported that the vision in my right eye was not as clear as my left eye. Approximately one year later, Dr. Keeling discussed performing a LASEK enhancement. At that visit, additional testing was finally performed, including a visual field test and OCT scan. At that point, it was discovered that I had a retinal detachment in my right eye. I was told the detachment was severe and "macula off," meaning the central retina had detached. I required emergency retinal surgery the very next day, including placement of a scleral buckle. The retinal surgeon explained that the detachment was serious and had likely been present for a significant amount of time. Following the scleral buckle surgery, my vision permanently changed. I now experience double vision, distortion, loss of detail, and ongoing visual complications. I later learned that I had lattice degeneration associated with my high prescription (-6.00), which raised serious questions for me about whether I was an appropriate candidate for LASEK in the first place. This experience had a profound impact on my quality of life and mental health. I share this review so others will ask questions, seek second opinions, and carefully research all risks.

It's a full-service sort of place, and although their personability is sometimes abrupt, it's my estimation they know their discipline. The Abrams Eye Centers have different staff, but they rely on other locations for specialties in my experience. I've been pleased with their work. My four star rating is because I don't have the comparison values to know if it's really five stars. That may sound wishy-washy, but rating clinics is difficult. I get the sense that their staff has high professionalism, and have a great deal of experience, and that's comforting.

When we place our order they always clearly state the breakdown of price so we understand exactly what we are paying for. They have a pretty good selection of frames and they are very helpful when choosing the frames. 10/10 recommend!
