Amy was pleasant, thorough and informative with suggestions and options for future treatments. I met with Dr. Miller who gave me a complete checkup and suggestions. Very pleasant. I know I can trust him. My insurance covered my cleaning 100%. By the time I was leaving The insurance gal had already researched my plan and any cost to me for what I needed done. I was covered 100%. They didn't try to rip me off. She was extremely knowledgeable. What a relief to have found an honest professional dental practice. Do not recommend. I was lied to at this facility and didn't know until i went to a new dental office. The new office did x rays and found out information that this facility did on my teeth. I take good care of my teeth and had a small cavity from what i was told. Found out that was not the case when i got a second opinion. Very very upset about what i Found out. I have severe trust issues with dental offices now. This office did not fix the problem and Dr. Hildreth told me to take Ibuprofen to ease the issue. I still have problems with the tooth to this day and never had issues before i let them touch my teeth. This is not how you fix a problem and I will NEVER go here again and do not recommend to anyone. They do not care. At all... From the moment I set an appointment online to the moment I walked out of the facility, Hildreth Dental staff were nothing short of amazing. Tracy was very friendly and communicative with scheduling my appointment; when we walked in to the office, we were greeted by Tracy and Courtney, and I honestly felt like I had known them for years. Tiffany was my dental hygienist and she was absolutely wonderful. Even though I was terrified to be at the dentist, she was so sweet and understanding, and had the hands of an angel. My young son was with us so Rose and Dani were so nice to bring him some toys to play with to keep him busy. The previous owners were excellent!!!. I am very disappointed in the new owner of the Amason DDS office. The new owner (David Hildreth) office staff NEVER ONCE INFORM me they NO LONGER except my Delta Dental insurance. I had found out after receiving a ridiculous bill. After calling my dental insurance company I was informed of the new DDS owner is outside of my coverage, which the office had already known. How hard is it to inform the patient "we no longer are no longer excepting delta dental insurance. However we can still see you". All I can say is: HOW unbelievably Incompetent NOT to inform the patient(s) they no longer except Delta Dental insurance. Very disappointed to put it mildly. read more

HILDRETH DENTAL = Best experience ever! I found Dr. David Hildreth (formerly Amason Family Dentistry. Dr. Amason retired and it is now Hildreth Dental). After years of seeing another dentist, I decided that there must be a better choice because the dental work did not hold up or fit well. Crowns did not fit correctly and fell off regularly. It seemed at every 6-month check-up, there would be some other tooth or teeth that needed a filling, or yet another crown or replacement crown. I dreaded going there and began to wonder why, if I'm maintaining my teeth would "new" pricey work would be needed so often? So began my quest for a 2nd opinion. I was determined to find someone I felt I could trust and that was not taking advantage of me. After losing my dental insurance, costs were are a huge factor - but I did not want to trade off dental health for cheap care. Does this sound like your situation? Well, I made the switch to an experience with a great dentist, Dr. Hildreth, and his staff. If you don't have dental insurance, they have a "savings plan" that will cut the costs down and not be a shock to your budget - Ask about it; it saved me some money. I had a crown replaced because it fell off so many times, it was not fitting well with my bite. This visit was without a doubt the easiest crown I've ever had replaced. No "dental impression" with a mouthful of goop that you had to hold in your mouth for an eternity! A little work, and 3 weeks later - I had a crown that fit perfectly the 1st time!! No more grinding it down until it has no "grooves left on the bite surface to make it fit my bite properly - a perfect fit the first time! No more headaches from the previous crown's uneven bite. Dr Amason, his staff and doggie kid are so kind & go out of their way to make you feel comfortable I personally do not like shots. Ive got to say they completely understood & Ive never felt any pain in their chair. All the staff from the moment you arrive make you feel like everything is going to be ok. Their kindness alone helps you to start to relax. I had a tooth fall out so it was an emergency and I had never been there before. It is a super busy office in terms of appointments. Yet they made time for me to come in. Dr Amason arranged for me to get a root canal right away. For that I will always be grateful. read more

Wanted to update this review to reflect the business aspect of the office. Received a bill from this office for our services we received. The bill did not reflect nearly $100 I had paid in the office. There was no record at the office that I had paid but I was certain I had paid. I didn't have the original receipt so I went back and checked my HSA statement and sure enough it showed I paid the amount. The office reviewed that statement and turns out the person who originally took my payment did not apply it to my account. The office did take care of it and applied the amount to my account. The experience left a bad taste in my mouth despite having great and friendly experience with Dr. Amason himself. A shame really. read more

Best practice ever!!! I had a pediatric dentist who scared the living daylights out of me which caused me to skip the dentist for the last 5 years until this week when I had a tooth pain. I hadn't been to the dentist in over 5 years, mainly because of my fear of the needle and drill, but also because I moved away from my hometown, and my family dentist of 30 years. My boyfriend was told about Dr. Amason's office, and went for a check up. He came home and told me he felt like he went to visit a family, and was amazed at the whole place, especially the staff. This put me at ease, so I made my appointment right away. He wasn't kidding! I was welcomed at the door with such friendly faces and kind words. The office is clean and professional, yet I felt like I was at my own home, comfortable and relaxed. The process was so seamless. From the paperwork, to discussing insurance, billing, my cleaning, and the actual drilling, everything was effortless and painless. Every person I spoke to was courteous, knowledgeable, and made me feel right at home. Even those I did not speak to had a bright smile on their faces. I was SO impressed with Dr. Amason and his staff! He did a great job with my teeth. I didn't even realize he used the needle on me until he was done. Super smart and funny guy. I went to their office in Kennesaw Ga on 01/07/2020 for a very small filling replacement, making my appointment the secretary said that the price for the filling could possible be $180.00 or more. When I got there the price went up to $373.00 for a tiny filling, when I decided not to pay that much for such a small filling, they charge me $77.00 for a ten minute consultation, ridiculous!, I will never go back to them and I would not recommend them to anyone, they are not honest. read more

The reception staff were warm, welcoming and sincere; they had all my paperwork ready and quickly got me in with the hygienist. She was explained what she was doing every step of the way and she was both thorough and gentle. Went in for the first time for a cleaning. I couldn't be happier. The staff is very nice and all introduced themselves. They took me on a tour of the office. There is an area with a game unit for kids, food and drinks. Very nicely decorated and clean. It's a family ran business and you can tell they take pride in it. Dr. Amason was quite good. Once Dr. Hildreth bought the practice, I told the staff that I would have to switch dentists because they were not in network with my new insurance company. They asked who it was, and I told them. They assured me that they accepted that company's insurance. Later I was stuck with a bill for more than a thousand dollars because of the VERY low level at which my insurance was reimbursing the practice. I feel as though they intentionally lied to me in order to keep me as a patient and revenue source. Upon seeing Dr. Hildreth for the first time, he began to recommend more than $16,000 in elective dental work, not covered by any insurance (I imagine Dr. Hildreth must have bought himself a bass boat and expects me to pay for it). Since then he has recommended a totally optional mouth guard for sleeping at the cost of around $600 for which there would be no insurance coverage. I left my previous dentist to start with Dr. Amason because he was "running up the score" on me and trying to get me to pay for all sorts of unnecessary devices and procedures. I will be settling my debt with Dr. Hildreth, and never coming back. I will chalk this up to a very expensive lesson in my education. If you are wise, you can profit from my expensive education and avoid this place at all costs. Fool me once; shame on you! Fool me twice; I don't think so. read more

Have had several dentists in my lifetime. For some reason I've also developed a mild panic/anxiety issue over the past few years which surfaced while in Dr. Amason's care. I was having a root canal-emergency pain. He was patient, attentive, and thorough. His wife assisted and she was likewise calm, patient, and understanding. In my daily life I'm fairly focused and controlled so I personally felt inadequate yet no judgement from these two. The office staff is understanding and helpful. No airs. Accommodating. My daughter came here with terrible TMJ pain. We have spent several years and several thousand dollars trying to get her some relief. We have finally found it!!!! Dr. Amason and his staff are terrific. From the very beginning, they have been incredible. I don't say this lightly, but Dr. Amason is absolutely the best. In a very short amount of time, my daughter has had great relief and is sleeping much better. Having relocated to GA. I found myself shopping for a dentist. Which I had not done in 15 years. Dr. Amason was my second attempt here. Knowing I needed a crown, I scheduled a cleaning & check up to experience them. To my amazement, I was scheduled within 4 days. They were professional, courteous, friendly and thorough on going over what was going to be done, to insurance matters. It was discovered that I had a second broken tooth and a lost filling on a separate tooth. My 2 crowns & a filling were done 2 weeks later.All at the same time,like I wanted. When I arrived,they were all set up and ready to start. I have a hard time numbing, which I had told Dr. Amason at my check up. But he was completely prepared with 2 different numbing agents. The second, backup one did not have to be used. But I was comforted that it was there if it was needed. During the 3 hr. procedure, he gave me just enough information to know what to expect next and what he was working on. That helped ease my nerves.I had absolutely no pain. The Novocain wore off later that day smoothly & uneventfully and I still had no-pain. The temporary crowns look & feel great. Hands down this is THE BEST dentist I have been to! I really (no really!) don't like going to the dentist. I put it off for about 5 years because I was terrified. I knew there was a LOT of work I needed done. I got to the point that I knew I had to go and I just couldn't put it off any longer. I searched and saw Dr. Amason had great reviews so I made an appointment. I spoke with Tina who was so nice and got everything squared away for my visit. When I went in for my visit it was so cozy. You won't feel like you're at the dentist it's more like going to a friends house. It's very relaxed. They really go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. It's like they're a little family there. Sandra did my cleaning (she was awesome!) and she was so hilarious and has a great personality. I got examined by the Dr. Amason and they made a plan to get me on the path to better mouth health. When I did get my procedure I did not feel anything (at all...and this was a big deal for me)! He has a super gentle touch and constantly checks to make sure you are doing fine. What I really appreciate is that they tell you everything they are doing and give you very accurate quotes so there are no surprises. I also found them to be very affordable. I also love that you can get appointments quickly which is a huge plus. If you having been putting off taking care of you oral health (because of fear or whatever it may be) just do yourself a favor and make an appointment with Dr. Amason.
