I was introduced to Glee Dental by my mom last year when she had to receive some services. Let's just say, many of our family members are now patients there including myself. The staff is so kind, welcoming, professional, and are very transparent regarding any of the health information you should know about your oral care! Dr. O is the BEST in the game!! She educates you on what is going on and what she can/will do to help resolve many issues you may have. When receiving services, she and her Dental Hygienist/Assistants just make you feel comfortable while in the chair! May I add, she is the BEST at giving any sort of medication in the form of a shot; truly I barely feel a thing! I feel like that's important to note because I know a lot of people are afraid of needles. They encourage and educate you on what you can do at home to prevent any further damages or concerns to your oral health. I always feel like dentist are out to get you for your money BUT Dr. O do not! They truly just want to guide you to having the best oral care! There's so much I can say but i'll end it here- the facility is clean, modern, and safe! If you are in search of a dentist in or around Acworth, definitely check out Glee Dental! She is worth the drive even if you love more than an hour from Acworth!

Initially, I…read morewas a little worried about the procedure (after all you hear how terrible root canals are all the time), but I never expected how painless it was and how much of a pleasure it was to be treated at this office. From the minute I walked in, the staff was very helpful and nice. They walked me through the forms and took care of everything. When I went into the office, I met Dr. Soto who is incredibly nice. The procedure was a breeze and you can tell Dr. Soto has done many root canals in her career. I've been given Novocaine from dentists many times, but this was the first time I did not feel it (she does something with your cheek so you can't feel it). During the procedure, you can choose your music, and Dr. Soto talks you through the process if you are interested. If you tell her, she'll even take breaks in the middle. In all honesty, if I ever move away from Atlanta and need another root canal, I'll fly into town to have Dr. Soto work on it. I don't think a recommendation can get any better than that.

I really wanted to overlook those issues and continue bringing my family here, but when there are problems almost every time we visit, it becomes too stressful. If you're a new patient, my advice is to verify that the office has confirmed they are in-network with your insurance BEFORE your appointment--even if your insurance company lists them as in-network. The office says they verify insurance the day before your visit and will contact you if they don't accept it. Naturally, you assume everything is fine if you never hear from them and no one mentions anything at check-in. However, in our experience, they sometimes verify your insurance while you're already there, only to tell you at checkout that they don't accept your insurance and that you're responsible for the full balance. In all fairness for this instance, the balance was finally written off after I complained about it. The same applies if you're having anything beyond a routine cleaning. Make sure they've verified whether the procedure is covered by your insurance BEFORE treatment begins. I repeatedly expressed my concerns and was always reassured that things would improve, but issues continued to happen. The office considers it a courtesy if they don't collect payment at checkout and offer various payment options to make your payment. I don't see that as accommodating when the situation could have been avoided with proper insurance verification beforehand. In one instance when my husband was given the "courtesy" to not pay at checkout, the moment he left his appointment, I received a text with photos of his invoice, the balance due, and a payment link. I was also told that because the insurance policy is in my name, I am responsible for his bill and I will be sent to collections if the bill is not paid, which I found frustrating. I understand mistakes happen, and I know times are difficult for many families. That's exactly why clear communication and accurate insurance verification are so important. Unfortunately, I was told I am the only one having these issues with the office, even though they kept occurring. It's disappointing because Dr. Mitchell is a great dentist. Sadly, the ongoing problems with the front office and billing have outweighed the quality of the dental care for my family. I'll be relieved once this final bill is paid and we can move on.

Before reading the reviews I had a bad feeling about the recommendations and cancelled my deep cleaning appointment, which would have cost $900 out of pocket with insurance. Just like Emily Q. I have had very few dental problems and have outstanding cleaning and flossing habits at home. I am glad I followed my instincts and cancelled my appointments, the reviews I have been reading confirm my suspicions. I am searching for another dentist, it did feel scare tactics were used, I was also warned about potential heart problems with gingivitis and told my gums were bleeding. I never see blood when I brush my teeth or when I floss. I have had 3 cavities my whole life and I am age 61, I did not have my first cavity until I was 16 years old. I don't believe the dental diagnosis I was given, it feels like this dentist is looking for ways to make money. I was told I could not be given a routine cleaning, because I needed a deep cleaning. I was also recommended cleaning every 4 months, I have always been told 6 months. This has never happened to me, most dentists give cleanings as part of their practice. I was given xrays I saw Dr. Bhavana Venugopalan. Although I did not complete the recommended services, I would not recommend this practice, it feels like a scam and from other reviews it seems like a scam for money.
