I was then refunded and told, "To be very clear, Dira wants to and loves doing precision cuts. She is one of the best. We're sorry you were not a fit." I appreciated the refund, but was disappointed that the haircut itself was not addressed and that my concern was characterized as simply not being "a fit."

A young man greeted me eagerly and helped me check in . Ashley washed my hair blow dried and styled my hair almost exactly as I typically do it myself which is very impressive! She was very sweet as was the young man again who helped me with my coat when I was struggling with my cast and ready to leave . While I cannot speak for a haircut, I am sorry to see the negative reviews for this place because I was treated very kindly with the service I asked for .

Both the hair dresser and client spoke Spanish and it was clear this was her first time there as the hairdresser was asking very basic questions. I.E "how many kids do you have etc" this information is important because when it came time to pay (in Spanish) she asked "will you be in cash or card" the lady responded with "cash" the hair dresser said "great 20 dollars". I was next and sat in the chair for a total of ten minutes and got a dry hair cut- no style, no spray down, just a quick trim essentially, however I was charged $35. At check out I asked "did you charge me fore length" because my hair was longer than the lady before me, so rationally that's where my mind went. The hairdresser said "no, that's how much it is for a haircut, I don't charge for length". I could tell she was caught off guard when I followed up with "well, that's odd, you charged the lady before me $20?" To which she said "you're right I did charge her different", at this point her face was bright red. Moral of the story is, she didn't know I spoke Spanish and understood that she handled the transaction before me completely different and up-charged me. She offered no further explanation as to why she up-charged me. And to me that is the baseline of discrimination. Maybe don't do that next time and you won't have me leaving a complaint about your unfair practices. Also it is helpful to post your pricing so customers know upfront.
