She makes an effort to get to know you and your hair needs and desires prior to your first appointment. If you dislike busy salon environments and stylists who make you wait, or rush through the cut, you will love the atmosphere at Beauty by Devin. Currently there is only one other stylist working in this same location. The experience feels much more personalized and intimate. It's a very relaxing and professional ambiente. Devin had a cheerful, yet calm demeanor. She is kind, knowledgeable, confident, talented and dedicated. Devin clearly wants you to be happy. She also clearly goes out of her way to teach you how to style your hair at home. If you are unhappy after you leave, you can go back for adjustments within the first seven days. By the time I was about to head home from my first appointment, my hair had been detoxed, conditioned cut and colored, and I felt great about how everything came out.

I've been Googling, Yelping, and whatever else to see what's near my new area and I stumbled across Devin via Yelp! I reviewed her portfolio, stalked her Instagram, and read all the awesome reviews about her. I took a leap of faith, and scheduled a Luxe Shaping appointment. Devin is so warm and friendly, and she did some things to my hair that no other stylist has done and explained to my why she did the things she did. She took her time with me and we really got to know each other on my first sitting! Seeing that she totally knew what she was doing, I scheduled a hair color appointment for the next month. My hair color appointment took 6.5 hours, which is usually normal considering I have thick course black and teal hair trying to go to coral. She seriously gave me all of her attention and even bought me dinner because I was there for so long! In the end, it turned out way better than I could have imagined. The color is so vivid and matched the photo I showed her to a T. She even took some extra time to walk me through how she does the beachy waves because I'm incapable of doing anything stylish with my hair. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Extremely Disappointing Experience I came in for a cut and…read morecolor and was shocked when I was charged $160, even though the quote I received over the phone just a couple of days earlier was significantly lower since both services were being done at the same time. When I questioned the price, I pointed out that their own pricing showed $100 for color and $40 for a cut. Instead of honoring the quote or even acknowledging the discrepancy, the stylist told me she "had to use more color," which made no sense given that I have a short page cut. The explanation felt dismissive and unprofessional. Between the unexpected upcharge and the poor customer service, I left feeling frustrated and misled. I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend this salon to anyone looking for transparent pricing or respectful service.

There are so many reasons I choose to come to Hair Jun for my hair needs, but the thing that stands out to me about Hannah is that she is not only a good listener, but she also takes photos to ensure she remembers how I like my hair to look, each time I come into the salon. I completely trust that she understands what I want. She is also a really good person. She genuinely cares about how I am doing, and respects that I am a busy working professional - she gives me cuts and straightenings that really "hold," as I cannot always come in as frequently as I would like. She always asks how I am doing, how my family is doing. She really cares about her clients. I always leave her business feeling like a new person, refreshed outside-and-in. I make the absolute highest recommendation for Hannah and Hair Jun. Her work is outstanding, as is her spirit. A+

For a business that positions itself as a spa, I expected a more elevated, relaxing atmosphere. Instead, the space feels somewhat dated and run-down and could definitely benefit from some updates. When I visit a spa, I'm looking for an experience that feels luxurious, welcoming, and well-maintained, and this location just doesn't deliver that. The customer service at the front desk could also use some improvement. The ladies haven't been particularly warm or welcoming during my visits, which makes a difference when you're coming somewhere to relax and enjoy a little self-care. At this point, I only visit for underarm waxing services. I wouldn't consider this location for a full spa day or a more indulgent experience. Go to the Oak Brook location. It is 10x better! Overall, there's definitely room for improvement, particularly with the atmosphere and customer service. A spa experience should feel special from the moment you walk through the door, and unfortunately, this one falls short.

Not only is the work of this group of hair artists absolutely INCREDIBLE, they're also such an amazing bunch and the ambience of the salon is so zen and positive, one can't help but walk out of there feeling like you're levitating! I think I come here for the camaraderie, and the conversation, as much as I come for the hair artistry. Twylla is awesome and is always collaborating with the other artists and providing guidance. Courtney (the good hair witch!) has colored my hair twice - first she applied a clarifying treatment and gloss and then she colored my hair a fiery, fall red; both times I walked away feeling like a million bucks!
