Been going to Hikei for a while now, but recently the quality has noticeably gone downhill. Today I bought a Blinkr cart and checked it before even leaving because I know leaking from the bottom is an issue sometimes. It was leaking, so I went back and a worker exchanged it. The replacement cart was also leaking from the bottom. I went back again to either get a cart that wasn't leaking or use the credit to switch brands. I was sent to speak with who I believe was the manager. He told me the cart wasn't defective and that "that's how they come sometimes." I've bought plenty of Blinkr carts before and they are not supposed to be leaking like that. He told me to try it outside and said if it "hits," then it works. Obviously it's going to hit, but right away it was already clogged and I had to inhale hard just to get it to pull. Still, I was told it wasn't defective and couldn't be exchanged or credited. I got home and put it on a scale first to check if it's even a full gram. Once it's finished, I'll weigh it again to compare. So far, I've only taken a few hits (not back to back), and it already tastes burnt. I'm really disappointed with how this was handled. Leaking carts, clogging immediately, and a burnt taste after a few hits shouldn't be considered normal. I wasn't trying to get free product, just something that actually works. I walked into this location, After being carded (which I appreciate and understood). I was greeted by so many friendly people . The store was really cleaned and well organized. I knew what my intentions and expectations were when walking into the store, only I didn't know what products would best cater to my expectations. I hate that I forgot the name of the gentleman that was helping me but he was well educated about the products. He led me to exactly what I wanted and I literally walked out paying $15 for what kept calm , cool and collective my entire weekend in San Diego. I was somewhat surprised of the placement of the establishment as it was located in a popular residential neighborhood. This is the worst dispensary/cannabis store I've ever been. They put all their products behind the cashier.. how am I supposed to know what I want if I can't see it?! I need to be able to examine closely or read the description; however, can't do that when they're hiding their products behind them, not within reach nor sight. I would have to ask the cashier for every product I'm inquiring. Customer service also sucks. Products also aren't as effective as products from other dispensaries. I've been going to Hikei off Home for years now. I love the selection and all the employees. However, a recent change in the points system they use has left me annoyed and frustrated. Before, every time I went I accrued dollar amounts that I could use towards my purchase. It was perfect because I never had to deal with change and it helped if I was ever a few dollars short. The new points system doesn't allow me to do this and is an obvious ploy to get me to spend more money. Avoid this place at all costs. Placed a couple orders for delivery from this service even though they were constantly out of items that were showing in-stock online. In my initial order I received a 510 battery from HiKei that turned out to be a bad battery. I had never used a 510 battery before coming from Stiiizy products so I had no idea why the cartridges were not working correctly. So I called and asked for advice. They told me to fiddle with the cartridge itself and sometimes it's a connection issue. Did that and ruined a $60 cartridge as the part at the bottom fell out. Another 1g cartridge wouldn't work at all with the battery once it was half finished. Just stopped working with the same-branded battery as the cartridge. Called last night to ask on top of my new $100+ order if they could exchange the $10 battery after telling them my issue with it. Just asked for an exchange. Not my money back. Not anything free. Just an exchange on the product that they sold me that did not work and wasted $120 of otherwise good cartridges. Apparently that was just too much and they told me I shouldn't have charged it in the wall (like I should have known this) and only charge it on a computer (because it can 'fry' in an outlet apparently). Spoke with the manager and he thought it was just ridiculous that I was even asking to exchange the battery that had caused so many issues. Said if I had called within 10 days they could exchange it but since it's after that timeframe it's a no-go. Canceled my order and will never order from this company again. read more
