The first person I met with was Greg VanDamm who came to do our bid. Before even speaking to him I knew I would like him. He has such a warm, sincere and kind presence and I just automatically felt like he had my best interest at heart. He truly listened to me and understood my vision. At first, when they wanted to charge me for an estimate I didn't know how I felt about that, but let me now say it's the best decision I have ever made. What you are paying for is an estimate that is true and doesn't leave any hidden cost. And, if you end up hiring them that cost you paid for the estimate goes towards your work, so you're really not even paying for the estimate. I did not pay one dollar over what they quoted me and that was what made the whole experience so stress free -- no hidden costs --- I knew exactly what i had agreed to. They do, however, let you know of things that may come up and cost more...I just didn't have anything come up that caused a problem. But, they are so good they let you know everything ahead of time. Now, I have to talk about the companys' team. Every person I came in contact with or had to talk to was the most professional and kind person I have ever met. When I called the office Sandy was always so helpful and patient. JT, who finished doing our bid spent hours extra making sure we got exactly what we were looking for. Rajilio, Chalino, Josh and Shawn were always so amazing when they came to our house to work. It's the little things sometimes, and never did I have to ask them to take their shoes off or put booties on...they were always thinking about me and did what would make me happy without even having to ask. As for the final product --all work beat my expectations and was so beautiful I can't wait to show my friends when they come over. If you are looking for quality, kindness and excellent workmanship with no stress I would never work with anyone other than Dwell Well. We have a second project in progress and they were the first ones we called! I will never even consider doing business with anyone else. He chose Douglas fir for its strength and a rosewood oil to finish, Jeff knows his woods! He built supports for the vine as he constructed the pergola and used metal capping to protect it from sun damage. It is beautiful! He did such a great job we asked him to tile our kitchen backsplash, with electrical upgrades and an exhaust fan install AND update our bath surround! Everything was perfectly executed. Jeff has satisfaction in mind when he did our jobs and has very competitive pricing. Best thing about Jeff was his ability to listen to our wishes and suggest the best ways to achieve them, and did all jobs in record time.

There was quite a laundry list as it was a 27 year old home. After i went back to the valley and Bob and his crew started working on things, I received a call from Bob to let me know that there were a few things that we had discussed that if they moved forward with how we had previously discussed would put me way out of my repair budget, and asked how i would like to proceed rather than doing them anyway and me having a surprise at the end. But, things went OK until the end. The finisher didn't like two of the edged and he went over them with a brush. The concrete dried and the brush marks are noticeable. Henry also said he would seal the new concrete. I reminded him twice over the past year and never heard back from him. I'm now getting ready to replace the rest of the driveway. Guess who won't be getting a call.

We had Barden come out among other companies to quote our remodel. We gave them a rendition of…read moreexactly what we wanted and they suggested price would be 30,000-40,000 closer to 40 and they were the only company that said for a full quote they would need $500 fee for their own rendition and to get the subcontractors out for full quote. We paid this and This process took over two months and their rendition was exactly what we handed them on the first day. When the process was over they came back with a final quote for 62,000 more than 20,000 over what they initially said cost would be with absolutely no changes and were not interested in working to reduce the cost. Very disappointed in them and their process especially since we had told other companies we were going with someone else and they took more than two months to essentially tell us they misrepresented their capabilities and costs. Edit after their response: they were told from the beginning the size of fireplace we wanted and that we wanted microcement. I knew that the initial verbal was meant to be non formal but $20,000 is not anywhere close. Their response also says they offered to change things, which their changes would still not have come within 10,000 of the high end of the original verbal estimate. Nothing major changed from the first day when we told them specifics of what we wanted.
