Finding the place was a little tricky at first (navigation got me a bit confused), but I'm glad I stuck with it. The staff here really knows their stuff. I spoke with them about color correction for some specific prints, and they were patient enough to walk me through the options without making me feel rushed. The turnaround time was pretty reasonable--not instant, but they definitely prioritize quality over speed, which I appreciate. My prints came out crisp and the color balance was spot on, way better than what you'd get at a typical pharmacy photo counter. Only giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the pricing is a little on the premium side, and as I mentioned, the location isn't the most obvious if it's your first time visiting. But honestly, for the level of professional service and the final result, it's worth the extra few bucks. I'll definitely be coming back here for my next project."

They've helped several family members and friends with important photographs, and they converted several rolls of slides to digital images for me. Disclaimer: I have had many kinds of merchandising done over the years, everything from shirts to…read morestickers to patches to weatherproof banners. I am not a customer naive to merchandising, printing processes, digital conversion processes, or anything in that wo Unfortunately I need to go against the grain here and say that my experience with JaxColor has been a negative one and that I am not likely to work with them (read: shop local) again. I needed to get a short run of some shirts made and I contacted JaxColor on 8/19 with some questions. Previously I'd worked with Terminus Tees (out of Georgia) for my shirt needs but decided to put my money to a local business this time. Let me preface for a moment to add: my HARD EARNED money. I received my proof and SEPS for approval, things seemed fine. The stipulation that comes with the proof is, "any errors existing on the approved proof will be printed and that any additional costs incurred to fix these errors are your responsibility and not eligible to be re-run free of charge." This is a reasonable business practice, and I reviewed and approved the order. When I came to pick the shirts up, there was a problem right away. First, I was informed a printing mistake was made on one shirt. That shirt was replaced for me in the order, but by a different shirt which I didn't approve. I am fairly easygoing and accepted it, then took it home. When I opened the box to review them all, I saw that there was a square-shaped array of noticeable - not subtle - white dots in the exact shape of my image, permeating every black/dark area of my image, which was not in my original PSD submission. I tried to get over it but I found that I couldn't even successfully sell these shirts because this looks like an amateur mistake. I called JaxColor a day or two later and explained the situation, politely, to an employee named Brent, who told me there were some non-regular personnel who had worked on my order and it sounded like the fault was on the business. He arranged for me to see Matt and the manager/owner later that day. I came in on time and I only see Matt waiting for me. I handed him a shirt, explained the same thing, and he went out of view to presumably show the relevant employee(s) my issue. He promptly returned and explained that the particular style shirt I ordered (American Apparel 2102 black shirts) was woven in a certain way where these bizarre white dots came out prominently in between the stitching. He said that the dots were there in the proof. I've attached a screenshot of that to this review. When I turned the brightness ALL THE WAY UP, AND zoomed 200%, I could see some extremely faint brown little dots blended into the black. These, again, weren't in my PSD, but more importantly, how would 99% of people notice them, and if they do, would it be expected that those imperfections print out so boldly on the entire order of shirts? And is it reasonable that the customer would not even get a phone call advising that this result is happening with this shirt? Nobody noticed this and thought it wasn't up to standard? After essentially telling me I was screwed, Matt disappeared and didn't come back. Let me reiterate: I've worked with shirt orders before, - up to 1000 prior - I know how CMYK printing works and I understand that differences between a digital image and a printed textile will exist. Let me reiterate: Nobody noticed that every one of my shirts had this excessive matrix prominently printed on there, nobody could be bothered to inform me that a problem was happening with these shirts so I could, if I had to, choose a different shirt (even though I didn't add the dots in the first place)? And let me finally point out, this was not a huge order of shirts, this was 36 shirts. We aren't breaking the printing machines with this order. But nobody at any point noticed this order was not up to par? Is it reasonable that anybody at all would notice an imperfection, something added to an image on JaxColor's watch, which can only be faintly seen in extreme magnified light, and then after seeing it - if they see it - know that it will print out and look like white ink drops spilled all over the dark areas of the image on the shirt, which also apparently has flaws in its stitching, which I got to find out about the hard way (yet they still knowingly sell this shirt)? The second photo I've attached here shows a close up on my original PSD (top half) compared with a circled area of the finished shirt where a perfectly evened matrix of dots can be seen (bottom half). As I mentioned, this outlines and permeates the entire shirt. It looks like snow fell onto every shirt in a perfect square and stayed there, and this didn't arouse any concern with anyone at JaxColor during the printing process. As of today, it has been a month since I requested an audience with the owner/manager of JaxColor to discuss my issue with my order. I never received any email or call back.
