Believe it or not, most of the time if you need to mail a large package (box), it's cheaper to go…read morethrough UPS rather than the US snail mail system. It's also generally faster. I love this UPS Store! Very friendly employees who are fast and efficient. They already have my information in the system... I just have to give them my phone number. Then it's just a matter of giving them the info of where I want the package sent. A label is creating and put on the package, I pay, and I'm out of there with a receipt and a tracking number. They do offer service where they will pack your items for you, provide boxes and supplies. I'm sure that can get pretty costly. I always have my boxes packed and taped, so it's a very fast process. Just to give you an idea, I shipped a 16x12x12 box weighing 20 pounds the other day and it was $16.25 with tracking and 2 day delivery. The US snail mail system wanted $30 and it was going to take 8 days. Twice the money and quadruple the time. No thank you, snail mail. I have daughters and grand babies in Texas and Mississippi, so I ship a lot. Can't recommend The UPS Store enough!

During my visit today, I failed to properly prepare my return. I didn't realize that I needed to print my own return label. The staffed allowed me to email it to the store and print it there so that I didn't need to return another time. This helped me out greatly as I was pressed for time. This location's lobby seems a bit smaller than most of the other UPS locations and with the copy machines. merchandise & counter top/island there isn't a lot of room to easily move around. If it were a busy time for shopping (Christmas) I can see unhappy people in the waiting area as everyone else would be 'up in their business.' I have used this UPS store for mailing packages to friends and family and have always appreciated…read morethe fast and friendly service here. Even if there is a slight wait, since they do fingerprints for background checks there will occasionally be a slight delay, they always acknowledge everyone in the store and apologize if there is a wait. The only drawback I have of this store is the location downtown. If you work downtown and already have parking situated, then the location is ideal. Now that I have to drive downtown to get to this location, parking can be challenging. When I have been lucky enough to get a metered space in front to the store, I've always been in and out within 7 minutes (1 quarter in the meter). Even with this drawback, because I can be assured of the best service, I will use this store first. Also, when doing Amazon returns, other UPS stores charge $1 if I don't already have the packed taped closed, but this one did not have that requirement. Love the customer service here, it is my favorite UPS store in town.

They have a procedure that the MUST send a code to my phone for verification. I didn't have my phone because it was stolen. It took over 3 weeks to resolve the issue. I had to borrow money to survive eventhough I had plenty of money in USAA. When I went to pay my mailbox fee at UPS the manager would not give me my discount because I was late eventhough I had explained exactly what was occurring prior to me paying. Simple inconprehensible. I was floored. If it wasn't for the location I would redirect my business asap. I will never think of them the same.

This UPS store is really understaffed, and the couple of employees present, though clearly doing…read moretheir best, do not seem to have received proper full training in Livescan fingerprinting and seemed almost as confused and stressed as I was. I endured over 40 minutes of misery and a severe panic attack which could have been entirely avoided if only someone trained was able to assist the whole time, which the Livescan guy on the phone told me was supposed to be required anyway! Constantly, more customers would come in with other things and the two UPS employees would be forced to go deal with them, passing me off to the Livescan guy on the phone who had limited ability to help due to not being physically present. The employees were kind and understanding but that is no substitute for having more than two employees in the UPS store so that one of them can help with the Livescan machine while others attend to customers with packages. I've never seen an UPS store with fewer than 3 employees even if it didn't offer this service. It's unfair to customers and employees to understaff so severely.
