My experience at Highwater has honestly been superb. They have been very professional and prompt. Property is well taken care of. Apartment interiors were constructed with quality in mind. I've been able to have maintenance come on the same day I have sent requests. They do an excellent job. I appreciate the gentleman who came on a Saturday to help me fix a loose baseboard in my kitchen to protect my kitty. He was very professional and detailed. The amenities are high-end and beautifully maintained, and the community itself is very well kept. We hosted our baby's first birthday party in the clubhouse, and our guests were really impressed with the space. There are also a variety of community events, which adds to the overall experience. Musa gets a huge kudos/shoutout/thank you from me for a few reasons: 1)He perfectly maintains and fixes everything in the building. 2)He always greets my toddler and me with a smile (even when I'm grumpy). 3)He was the bacon chef during our building's brunch event - which was so much fun and a great way to meet my neighbors! Another huge shoutout to Hernan for running the building and leading such a friendly staff - he's the secret sauce here! I think he knows everyone's name (and their dog's name!) and has put a smile on my face more times than I can count. HighTrash has "genius" solution with trash overflow problem! "If no trash bin exists, it cannot overflow" - HighTrash Mgmt 2022. They remove all trash bins that are common areas. Now trash will just be on the ground, everywhere. Still no compost either, which illegal in CA. Residents chat about these bad situation in elevator, pool, walking dog. Other problem is dog pee in hallways / outside smell very bad, door lock broken,, sun blind your eyes in fitness center they don't get shade (these mgmt are CHEAP people), bugs in building (roaches), hallway trash from resident who leave bin out all day (smell, look bad), electric issues in apartments, high electricity bills but building is GREEN!? and so many more issue. But building is new!!?! I guess many corner were cut by cheap HighTrash mgmt. Building cannot be "luxury" / "elevated living" as they say in brochure with so many bad situation. I guess "elevated living" if your heart rate or blood pressure elevated all time from so many issue -- so they are right! read more

The worst managed community I have met in my 8 years of staying in Bay Area. The maintenance team is good and responsive, the building is high quality. But the managing is simply the worst part. I rarely got email replies and you have to meet them in person in office hours which is hard if you don't work from home. I have seen recurring overcharging, recurring double assignment of parking spots. My bikes got stole in the bike room and they simply don't have some response to my email. If you want some fancy place to stay, this building might be. But if you want some less trouble and a responsive managing team, simply stay away. read more

I've lived in Highwater for 3 years, was in two different units. Figured now is a good time to write a review. Building is nice and clean, good sound proof between units and good double pane windows that block el camino noise. Cute events. Note direction window's facing before complaining about lack of natural light. It's not highwater's fault you don't have natural lighting in North facing units. Never had package theft issues so far and building felt safe. That said, my main complaint is how the leasing office staff are sooooo unhelpful. Things were much better when Kyle and Edison were here. Now, no one answers any emails or phone calls. Hey highwater staff, surprise - tenants here paying $$$$ rent are the reason you have an office and a job. Emails and phone calls are meant to be replied, not ignored even after multiple follow ups and days waiting. Also note there's many hidden fees to rent - trash butler service/internet/sewage,,, even rent portal service fee lol. So check out utility bills before deciding to lease. read more

Don't move to here! Really awful experience about there Messy Management and leasing process!!! 1. They sent me a quote for a 1b1b den for $3915 with a 8weeks free. And we can see this price in the link. And when we want to apply for it on next day and log in via that link. They removed the quote and the price in the backdoor without any notification. They regretted on the previous price and set a new price $4915 on it, even at the moment when my quote was not expired! They waste us lots of time! 2. We went to the apartment to find the staff. No one was in the leasing office and they locked the door even it was on the working time. And we waited for half an hour and called them. It turned out the staff was in a room inside the leasing office. And she didn't want to see us even we said we were there and waited for 30 minutes! And she showed up finally when we said we was there to start the application. What??? They don't care about you 3. During the time we were waiting for staff, I saw many residents came there to find the leasing office. But they failed and left. Trying my luck here because call/email/voicemail doesn't work at all. I was charged $800ish after I moved out for painting, cleaning, and utilities. I already paid the painting and cleaning costs but the utilities cost is really questionable. Can please help clarify where the $257 utility cost comes from? I already tried many times to call and email the contact that they sent in the moveout charges letter to no avail. Even left a voicemail but no response after many days. I moved out on the last date of my lease contract and already paid all the rent + utilities costs before I moved out. Thanks! Live here if you want to overpay for a faux "nice" apartment with minimal natural light that is run by a team of incompetent and unresponsive people who have no interest in helping you. During the 13 month period I lived at Highwater, my calls were never answered the first time and any messages I left were often ignored until I called several more times. When I moved out, the building charged me $830 for cleaning and painting despite the fact that I'd had the apartment professionally cleaned and hadn't caused any damage to the apartment. I now pay less to live in a nicer apartment with equivalent amenities and a 24/7 front desk that can be reached on the first ring at any hour. Good riddance. read more

She has been extremely helpful and courteous throughout our whole application process, she's very responsive to all questions and needs and very passionate about her job, these are the kinds of people you need in positions like hers. My family loves it here, if Luxury is something that you're looking for in a place to stay and call home, this is it!! I mean the Amenities alone are amazing, stainless steel appliances, All Samsung smart devices that you are able to control by your phone. We realized after leaving our apartment yesterday that we forgot to turn the lights off, but thankful we were able to shut them off from our phone as we were gone for a few hours. The list continues to go on and on. If it wasn't for such a great team here and everyone being so welcoming and in beautiful part of Redwood City right near downtown, we would've looked elsewhere. Unfortunately, our lease term has been plagued by non-stop electrical issues. Any one item (e.g., TV, gaming device, vacuum, oven) can set the breaker to go off and we intermittently lose power and internet. The maintenance team has done their best to assist but Greystar has been unhelpful with approving any useful solution proposed by the local team at Highwater. Moved here recently. The community is beautiful! The leasing staff has been excellent, and the apartments are very well designed. Before the move, the leasing agent - Giovanni - showed us the apartment and answered our questions. At that time, the building was under construction, so we got a video tour. When it was safe to enter for non-staff, Giovanni called us over so that we could look at the apartment in person! We've just moved so haven't had a chance to enjoy all the amenities yet, but the pool and the gym look wonderful. read more

The setting and amenities for this property are nice but customer service and management were terrible. A couple of major complaints here. The underground parking flooded over New Years of 2022, totaling my car and vehicles belonging to dozens of other residents. In the aftermath, the building did nothing to reimburse the residents that were impacted other than refunding a single month of parking fees (which were already way above market at $250/month). The damage was caused by failure of the building's underground pump system and onsite and offsite management were unhelpful during this entire ordeal. Separately, upon moving out, my apartment was totally clean and undamaged (aside from minor ordinary course scuffs on the drywall). Despite this, the management company (a) withheld my entire security deposit and (b) invoiced me for an excess payment of ~$115 for additional cleaning and painting (in violation of the lease and CA law). I disputed the charges and offered to settle if they split the security deposit and dropped the excess charges. The company went silent for several months and I just received notice that they placed me in collections for the disputed excess (still in disbelief as I've never experienced anything like this in the past). Totally unresponsive, unprofessional and, quite frankly, a scumbag organization. There are plenty of better rental options in Redwood City. read more
