Dr. Hightower is a treasure. I injured my knee in June 2021 from working out twice a day and then riding a scooter while wearing wedge shoes (stupid, I know). I went to a Stanford-trained orthopedic surgeon who recommended partial knee replacement surgery even though I am relatively young! There was a small bump on my knee, and the doctor did an MRI and still couldn't figure out what it was. She said it might be a bone fragment that got loose. I did not get surgery, and eventually the swelling went away, and the issue got better. However, it did not go away entirely, and my knee still felt unstable and a little bit weird and I also had lower right back pain. I saw Dr. Hightower in Fall 2022 and after ONE visit, he FIXED the issue as well as my lower back pain. He also got rid of the bump!!!!!! He said it was tissue, and massaged it away!!! He also diagnosed me right away, whereas the surgeon couldn't figure out the issue!! He said my knee cap was out of alignment with my tibia, resulting in the instability and grinding, and moved it back in line. I did another appointment later that week, since I was moving out of the country later that month. I regret not finding him sooner and being able to see him regularly. read more

I am a senior and I have worked with Dr. Hightower for over 20 years. He is excellent. Adjusts my body with no problem and at reasonable cost. He is very knowledgeable. I believe his father was a chiropractor. He teaches in a chiropractic college, too! read more

I am 67 years old female and is a patient of Dr. Hightower for over 15 years. I am a very satisfied client and would like to recommend Dr. Hightower to anyone. His chiropractic techniques excel and are very effective. He has a very comforting personality, and after going through his adjustments, he'll send you home smiling. And besides, I travel all the way to Hayward from San Jose just to see him. I don't mind the drive because I know he is able to fix me. read more

Jerry Hightower is AMAZING and so are his staff! When I first came in I was a mess from head to toe. It took a few visits and now I'm almost back to normal. I feel more relieved and in less pain compared to a few months ago. I'm a medical mess, have a long way to go, but Hightower Chiropractic is a good stop for my long journey. Thank you so much! read more

Dr. Hightower is a chiropractor with a lot of hidden talents. His years of experience has seasoned him to come across as unassuming and his treatments may seem simple, though both have profound affects to his patients. I have come away from my visits with him with a state of ease and curiosity of what just happend and excited to see what will happen next time I have an appointment. read more

A true healer and seasoned professional, Dr. Hightower has a way of not only making you feel welcome and comfortable, but also can quickly identify the source of your pain and determine a suitable, effective remedy. His nearly 50 years in Chiropractic resonates in every part of his good work. Also, on a personal note, I enjoy Dr. Hightower's calming demeanor, which is enhanced by his natty attire (self-tied bow ties and good shirts are a staple) and the way he elegantly carries himself in going about what he does so well. His new office space is especially cheery, filled with warmth, good light, and good vibes. His wife Carol captains the front office, and is quite kind, humorous and welcoming. She also presents herself in a highly elegant form, and has a beautiful way with the nuances of the English language and it's application to personal interactions with patients. If quality, well-applied Chiropractic and healing is what you seek, Dr. Hightower is your man. If you also enjoy an accompanying personal experience that feels like home cooking in a house filled with love, Hightower Chiropractic is your destination. read more

As chiropractor myself, I can say that Dr. Hightower is a chiropractic cultural treasure. His knowledge base goes back to studying with some of the pioneers of the profession and his thirst for new knowledge in the service of his patients continues with the constant refining of technique. Not only has he helped me with complex issues from several sports and car accidents I have had, every time I see him I learn something new to help my own patients. I drive from San Rafael to Hayward at least once a month to see him. read more

Dr. Hightower is the most talented, generous chiropractor I have ever known. I certainly went to a half-dozen chiropractors before him searching for relief. Dr. Hightower performs miracles. If you have problems that seem to have no answers - do not walk - RUN - to Dr. Hightower. He still studies and teaches today and there is pure talent and magic in his knowledge and expertise to relieve your pain. read more

Dr. Hightower is truly the best Chiropractor that's treated me me since starting my chiropractic journey in the 70s. He listens and treats accordingly, not the "listen" & then do the standard 4 manipulations, and off to the next patient moves I've been subjected to. I knew for 6 yrs my cervical spine was a reason HBP meds don't work well for me. Six chiropractors later, Dr. Hightower is actually treating & we're seeing results! You'll have results too! read more

This business is run by an older couple who come off as nice, but we're quick to share their real views shortly after I arrived. I'm white, so maybe they assumed I had the same beliefs, but I do not and I found their distaste for "foreigners" as they put it extremely offensive. Pease also be advised that the chiropractor Mr Hightower is a stroke victim and not really capable of keeping track of what he's doing. He's not currently capable of actually doing chiropractic work and I feel like he's scamming people by continuing to attempt to operate the place. I can't speak for how he may have been before, but I wasted my money. They took my hundred plus, offended me, and do no actual work to earn the right to do any of those. read more

Dr Hightower is the best! I drive from San Francisco to Hayward to see him and it's well worth the drive as just one or two sessions will usually fix my back whereas other chiropractors typically need six or seven sessions. When my back goes out it gets really bad as I have previously broken my sacrum and pelvis in several places. Dr H did not need to take expensive and unnecessary x rays before getting me on the table for the first time and quickly took away most of my (severe) pain in minutes. He is, by far, the best chiropractor I have seen - and I have seen quite a few over the years. I also appreciate that he respects how busy my schedule is and that I don't live near his office and doesn't nag me about coming in for "maintenance" visits - which I would do happily if I lived closer. He is respectful, attentive, efficient and really knows what he's doing. A+ in every way! read more

If you want one of the most brilliant-straight- forward- chiropractic- minds-on- earth to take great care of you, than Dr. Hightower is the man to see! I am a chiropractor in the bay area and the work we do as chiros can be a hard and laborious in nature therefore needing chiropractic work on ourselves. I have been a patient of Dr. Hightower's for over 8 years now and he has treated me for both symptomatic relief and general maintenance care during this time. I have been treated pre and post his unfortunate stroke, but please believe me when I say, he has not changed one bit in his skills, and if anything, has just gotten better and more determined to make sure his patients are treated with the best possible care and most advanced equipment. Unlike myself, Dr. Hightower is not a rack em' and crack 'em kind of doc, he uses modern tools and gets you back in order without putting much stress to either yours or his body. Not only has Dr. Hightower always treated me with the best possible care, but he has taught me more about the body and chiropractic than I could ever ask for in school. I have nothing but the highest regard for him and his ability. Anyone that is treated by him is a very lucky patient. read more

Very awesome. I had pain for months, felt relief after the 1st appointment, which came back after a few days. After the 2nd appointment it never came back. The 3rd weekly appointment was my last. It's been several weeks since then. I loved coming to the office - spacious and light - and the people that work there and Dr. Hightower are delightful. I immediately felt at ease with Dr. Hightower, he seems very wise and has a great sense of humor. I was almost sorry my visits ended so soon! I really appreciated that there was no hard upsell, no trying to get me in there for months on end, and no requirement that I be x-rayed. Fixed me up and sent me off. Reasonable prices too. What a gem! read more

Dr. Hightower is the best chiropractor I have ever met. He was the 2nd and since going to him none have measured up. He can get you feeling better on the first visit and if you need more it will only take a few. He is obviously more knowledgeable than 99% of the chiropractors out there. Alex read more

I find Dr. Hightower on yelp from the excellent reviews and I decided to visit him. First went to visit Dr. Hightower for back pain. I'm happy to say that he was very helpful in relieving my pain. Second session he worked on my back and neck and shoulders. On third session he worked on my back, neck, shoulders and knee. I am pain free and very happy. Dr. Hightower is by far the BEST chiropractor I have seen. I've finally found "THE ONE." He is obviously very knowledgeable, kind with the great staff. read more

I am so grateful to have met Dr. Hightower, the staff and members of his family. He has so much knowledge that he is willing to share with his patients, so that we understand what he is doing and how it will help the healing process. I used to think that chiropractic was just for pain and realignment, but it isn't. My first appointment was fifteen years ago and in that time I have been healed from hip and knee pain, as well as the after effects of an auto accident in which my shoulder and arm were injured and I could not reach behind my back to fasten my "unmentionables". He and Dr. Wolny worked on me until my shoulder and arm were back to normal. I should say that Dr. Wolny is the strongest woman that I have met, and she has great physical control over that strength while treating patients. Additionally, Dr. Hightower has helped me heal from respiratory infections due to asthma ...ah, there is nothing more comforting than to lay down in a quiet room with a fluffy blanket and caressing heat both over your lungs and on your back. (Don't tell anyone, but it made me feel cared for as well as healed, grown woman that I am). Dr. Hightower diagnosed a hiatal hernia that I did not even know that I had. I also have received laser treatment for neuro dermatitis that had resulted in dry, itching patches of skin on my hands. For awhile, my life became busy and I lost touch with this practice, but periodically I would receive gentle reminders from the doctor and Mrs. Hightower to return. When I did they were glad to see me and did not make me feel uncomfortable about my absence, even though he had to redo treatments to get me back to normal. One of the secrets of this practice is that everyone cares about you. Frankly, I should give them a significant part of my salary for the way that they let me vent about the trials and tribulations of a high school teacher. Truly, I care for my students but those of you who interact with teenagers on a regular basis will understand how much I appreciate the time that Dr. Hightower, and now Dr. Morrow as well, spend letting me talk about my day with my little darlings. They evaluate me from the time I come in until they place me on that table, and they can tell if I am doing well or struggling with some issues, so that they know what areas need more attention at that time. Also,as an educator I am gratified to see Dr. Hightower and Dr. Morrow interact as professionals. It appeals to me to see Dr. Hightower share his knowledge with a new professional and to see his legacy being shared with the next generation of chiropractic doctors. It is a blessing to be a part of the process. Run, do not walk to this practice, and get a little bit of heaven on Earth. read more

All People Wishing to Be Well, You're in Luck! I am a patient of Dr. Hightower, DC and I have been fortunate enough to have found him years ago. (I go way "back!" LOL) Doctor Hightower is a healer on several levels. He treats his patients as if they were family. He is welcoming, friendly, professional, creative, mindful, caring, and a person whose humor I appreciate. (Even his family gives out kindness to all his patients.) He has helped my healing process with adjustments, kind words, humor, creative suggestions, and excellent care and attention. Assembly line chiropractors are the opposite of Dr. Hightower. His office is flexible, and his office goes out of their way with his clients. You will discover this when you go there! So, go there... and get well! I have recommended friends from cities futher out than mine to him, and they liked him! My health has improved over the years with his care, attention, and kindness.
