I went here for spider vein removal on my inner leg, which I have to say were nearly not visible beforehand but they made me feel very self-concious. After the treatment they became more prominent and did not disappear at all but are more visible now!! When I contacted the center about it, my e-mails (note e-mails) were simply ignored and never answered. I can not recommend this center. read more

So I bought a deal from Living Social awhile ago - and I horrible about using these things - so I finally went in last week. First off, the original owners are gone, and Melly now runs the whole show. She hired better technicians then before and they really did a great job with my hair! I have naturally curly hair, and it gets frizzy like woah! We went over the color choice I was looking for, and how it might be a shade or two different because of the color hair I have, so it was no surprise when it was a little lighter - I actually like it a lot better! I went to High Style yesterday with a Living Social Coupon for a keratin treatment. I've never had keratin done before so I wasn't sure what to expect but, my stylist Xan was wonderful at making sure I understood the procedure and what would happen during, after, and how I would need to maintain it. I could tell she actually cared about my hair because she ended up explaining that my hair type wouldn't really benefit much from just keratin. She recommended a Brazilian Blowout. I went with her suggestion and she did a great job, and my hair is soft, shiny and easily manageable. The salon itself is pretty small in the front with just two stylist stations but, this does help with privacy. I felt like I had the salon all to myself, like I was V.I.P. All in all, I had a good experience. read more

Got a voucher from Living Social for a $45 cut and color. While I was there I decided to get an eyebrow wax as well, so I could put the tip on my card. Here is the 411: The place is small and awkward. The hairdresser was pleasant but a bit scattered and didn't seem to be entirely sure what she was doing. She seemed very new. She didn't add much shape to my hair (and I couldn't tell until it was dry, which she wasn't able to do b/c she couldn't find a diffuser that fit her blow drier). She put me under the full head drier which just made my hair poofy. The cream she put in it made it flat when I indicted that I like to keep my curl. The color was several shades lighter than I asked for (and had selected). She kept remarking how much she loved it- too bad it isn't her hair! The wax was disappointing as well. It was done by Melly herself who noticed that my eyebrows need to grow in more in a few places. I have heard this before. But she did a very poor job getting the hairs. I had to pluck myself within 24 hours. My hair is light and I warn folks that they will need to do some plucking. Couldn't imagine paying the "full" price of $90 for that service. Don't even feel like I got my moneys worth at $45. Meh indeed! read more

I have gone to Meli for over a dozen laser treatments, and I am extremely pleased with the results. Meli is a warm, knowledgeable, and professional person with years of experience in the field. She has a medical background and clearly explains what will help you and what to expect with each session. I have gone to her to treat leg veins, remove leg and bikini hair, and now most recently, for laser facials. I am more confident than I have ever been in years during the spring and summer now since I don't have to worry about dark hair growing in on my legs. I am also happier now that my leg veins are not nearly as noticeable anymore. In addition to the cosmetic benefits of laser hair removal, there is also the perk of time and water being saved by not having to shave often. I highly recommend Meli's services and plan on being a customer for years to come. I had my first hair appointment with Xan a couple of weeks ago, and she gave me a really nice haircut and blow dry. I asked if I could get the cut done within my lunch hour, and she got the wash, cut and dry done in time as asked. I've been to Meli twice and I can't wait to go back. I try and get a facial a few times a year and always leave feeling better about my skin. Now that I've had a laser facial from Meli, I don't want to get any other type of facial. The laser tightens skin and reduces any dark spots. The first time I went I only had a facial. The second time, Meli also lasered off little dark spots on my chest and arms. I hate these dark spots and didn't think there was anything I could do about them. It has been less than a week since my arms were treated with the laser and I can tell a noticeable reduction in the pigmentation! Its the best thing I've done for myself in a while and I can't recommend Meli enough!! Seriously, needed to write a review to sing her praises - she is the best! read more

I've tried other laser hair removal places but with very poor results. The technicians at those other places usually spend a few seconds zapping the hair area. Not Nelli at High Style. She makes sure the area has been treated thoroughly. I started coming here for underarm hair removal three years ago when there was a deal on Groupon. The results are amazing! After the initial six treatments, most of the hair was gone. I've been back once every six months for a touch up. Nelli did such a great job, the last two strands of hairs have been zapped. I just had my first appointment at this location this morning and had a terrific experience! Granted its only my first appointment but the owner was super informative and did a great job with my first laser visit to high style. It was clean, and everyone was very friendly. I only have gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I don't know yet if the service is going to work but I'm sure it will :) I will update after my four sessions. Laser skin care is FANTASTIC! I'm getting younger all the time!

I went here for laser hair removal and have to say it was great!!!! In the beginning I was on the fence and nervous about the pain of laser but after one session with Meli I was thrilled I'd found High Style Laser. Meli, is knowledgeable, professional, and very nice, she made what can sometimes be a tough process much easier and more comfortable. I will say laser hair removal does take some time with multiple sessions needed to complete the process but it is totally worth the time and money. Plus the short time spent there is much quicker then the time one spends having to shave or do other hair removal processes regularly. I love now that I don't ever have to worry about any of that stuff and that I am always ready for any outfit, swimwear to dresses. I have been going to Melly for hair removal for 10 years. She is simply the best. First, she is absolutely meticulous. She doesn't just wax, she examines carefully and hand-tweezes every hair that can't be reached by waxing. Second, she really makes an effort to accommodate my schedule, especially on short notice. I recently went to this salon with a deal I got from Living Social. I learned the age old lesson that you get what you pay for. The stylist was very nice, but new to the salon and a bit unprofessional. The cut was not at all what I asked for (which was just a trim and some layers), and I had to go have it recut by my regular stylist the next week because it was so bad. The coloring was satisfactory but certainly less than I expected. The website was particularly deceptive, giving the impression of a luxury experience. The place was nice and clean, but not what was conveyed. read more

I had booked an appointment here with Kathi for a keratin treatment. I verified the appointment last week. I've been going to Kathi for well over a year and she does an incredible job. They told me that Kathi was no longer there because she had a 'problem with a client'. I know Kathi well and suggested that there was no way she had a problem. I then asked why they did not call me to tell me she was no longer there. They said they did not have my number. I looked down at the appointment book and clearly saw my name and phone number (which you could tell they had tried to erase). I pointed this out to them and said there was no excuse for them not to call me as they wasted my time. They then offered to have another stylist do my hair. I refused, got out of there, found Kathi on facebook and she told me that she had quit because they were not treating her well. I am horrified at the way this salon does business. I would appreciate if they were open and honest. I will never set foot in this place. read more
