Had a terrible experience. Lana fried part my eyebrows with the laser and was completely unresponsive afterwards when I was asking for her help and guidance on what to do after I saw it. Don't go to someone that doesn't have the skill to work on you and that will ghost you the minute something goes wrong. Very happy with the results! Lana did my armpits and I had my last session back in January, I believe. Since then I had one more appointment in May and I'm having another one next week, these are just maintenance treatments though as some of the hair still grows back. But after so many years of shaving I was expecting that and I'd rather have a laser session every 3 - 4 month rather that wax/shave. Don't expect the process to be painless, as it hurts plenty but it's very fast, less than 2 minutes each side and half an hour of slightly burning sensation afterwords, so nothing crazy and totally worth it! read more

She recommended a cream on Amazon I could use before the appts to make it as pain free as possible. Laser is different for everyone and the technician can't control how sensitive someone's skin is. After two sessions with Lana, I would highly recommend this spa to anyone shopping for laser hair removal. Lana is professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and kind. The space itself is tastefully decorated and soothing, and Lana makes the experience more comfortable by working gently and quickly. She said I would notice a real difference after three sessions, but after only two treatments my hair growth is slower and much easier to manage. I'm very happy with my results already. I looked up reviews for a good laser place about 6 months ago and found positive reviews about Lana and beauty tech. I am so happy I went to her. First, her prices are affordable, her place is squeaky clean, her laser is not painful (did facial hair and the trail) plus it is super effective and Lana is such a pleasant and reasonable person. I highly highly highly recommend this place. I am a happy customer who will be returning for many many sessions. I should mention I am fully African with coarse black hair and she had a laser machine for my type of skin. I chose to come here after i read the reviews on Lana and she definitely is everything these reviews made her up to be. She was extremely professional. She knows what she's doing and makes the experience as easy, quick and painless as possible. Lana goes over the details of the hair removal process, but make sure you are well informed so you know what to expect. I had work done on my face and over several areas on my body. I have a high pain tolerance, but it does hurt more in some areas than others. I have completed all six sessions and I'd say 90% of the hair is gone. There are a few spots that have hair growth still or very light growth and some spots still pushing the hair follicle out. The results vary for everyone. Scheduling is very easy, we always pick a time at the end of the appointment and Lana is never late to an appointment. I found Lana, like many others, through Groupon. I've only had one session with her (I will continue to update as I continue my sessions with her) but I can tell I will be impressed. My first appointment was June 2nd. Today is June 23rd, and after one session out of 6, I am experiencing at least 80% hair reduction. It's insane. She was very professional, and walked through all the steps of laser hair removal. She does not make guarantees that can't be backed up like "this will last for the rest of your life, for sure" the way other studios do. She is upfront that this is NOT forever- but it will last you a good 7 years. Sold. Her Laser was a bit more painful than other lasers I have come across- but 3 minutes of pain for 80% hair removal is a fair deal to me. The only reason it is not 5 stars is because of the lack of pre or post-work appointment times, making it a little tough to get from the financial district to Brookline during the day (But many weeks in advance, I was able to snag a Saturday 10am for my next session!) and the lack of reminder e-mails for appointments. I've been to 2 other laser hair removal studios in Boston- this is by far the best and most affordable. If I decide to get other areas done, I will go here without hesitation, and recommend my friends do the same as well. read more

I've been holding off on this review and waiting for all of my treatment to be done before making a post. I've been coming to see Lana for laser treatments since this summer. She does a really great job. I've never had to wait for her and it's so easy to make an appointment online. Fast and efficient service. One time she had to cancel but it was no biggie. Her customer service is superb though. She couldn't get to me so she left me a voicemail, text and email just in case. I thought that was thoughtful as in someone who cares and made sure she got the message to me. She apologize again when I saw her at my next appointment. For all of my visits, Lana throughly look at the hair growth under her microscope before every laser treatment. I just love the customer service and her honest opinion. Lana is great! I went to her for laser removal on my face and the front of my neck - primarily motivated by the razor bumps I was getting on my neck from shaving. After each session (including the first !!), I saw less and less hair. Now, I no longer struggle with these razor bumps as I am shaving a much smaller amount of hair. The price for these sessions was also amazing! I will note that I have blond hair so there were some stubborn hairs that remained - but that's something I read about ahead of time so I got what I was hoping for. I have done 5 sessions of treatment with Lana and only 1 session left. I found the experience amazing! I searched on yelp when I was looking for laser hair removal treatment, found everyone here gave Lana five stars, and decided to give it a try. Now I am giving my five stars! 1. Lana is very knowledgeable and professional. She explained to me the process of how it works in detail from the very beginning. The treatment itself is very fast but thorough. It was effective since day one for me, about 70% hair loss. So far I had 5 sessions and I did not see any hair regrowth. Of course it depends on the person. You will feel a bit pain during the treatment, but it is not too bad, and you wont feel anything afterwards. 2. Lana is super friendly. She would distract you during the treatment. She makes the appointment really easy (she will send you an email, and you just have to click the link to add it to your calendar. There is also an reminder email the day before your appointment). Lana was never late for the appointment. There was even a time I was the last person of the day and I was late because of traffic. She waited until I arrived, which I really appreciated. I love Beauty Tech Spa! I started coming when I got a gift certificate for my birthday. I had never done Laser before and Lana was really nice and professional. She really coaches you through the process.. which hurts but ITS WORTH IT! The results have been amazing!! I started with my underarms. I used to grow hair there at lightning speed but now that I'm halfway through my treatments, I have seen amazing results. I barely get any hair and the hair i get is soft and easy to shave (which you still do in between treatments). I am starting treatments on my upper lip tomorrow who knows what's next after that!
