Let me tell you why. 1) She genuinely cares about her work and her customers. It shines through in everything she does. Her space is well organized, cozy and welcoming, and her products are really tempting (and if I didn't already use the best skincare line out there for me, I'd buy whatever she recommended). 2) She takes her time getting to know you and your current routines, and what your skin needs. Everyone's skin is different, and my own skin changes a lot depending on time of year, stress, and age. She takes everything into account and customizes my facials to what I need that day. 3) Her prices are all inclusive - no tipping needed. That is so refreshing, and takes a lot of pressure off of me as a client. I highly recommend her, if you can get a spot!

Although, I don't feel like she should even charge for the facial she gave me. I could do the same exact thing on my own for much less money. Just because you throw the steam on my face and wash with the same expensive products I have, and lastly extract for under ten minutes with a tool - does not qualify to be a professional facial. Deborah you are very sweet but I'm sorry I think you need to tighten up your skill. I cannot imagine this comes as a surprise to you.

She is extremely professional, knowledgeable about her craft, personable, and sensitive to her clients needs. She is also exceptionally kind and careful, and always makes you feel comfortable (especially when treating areas that can be somewhat painful, like the upper lip.) She also does great work threading brows. I had mine done for the first time by her and absolutely loved the result -- I don't think I'll ever go back to plucking now! If you are thinking about starting hair removal treatment, I encourage you to take the plunge and go for it! You won't be disappointed with Sonika's work. I trust her completely!

I am so grateful I found Shannon and Noel Herbal Skincare! I had been commuting into Boston just to…read moreget a facial and found myself buying products and services that did nothing to improve my skin in a lasting way. It seemed the industry was ever changing more towards "medical grade" facials, something I wasn't completely onboard with, but I was so desperate to get clear skin that I tried anything to fix my issues. Then one evening I drove past this beautiful store front right in Somerville. Shannon booked me right away. She really took the time and thoughtfulness to assess my skin and give me a facial filled with love. After my first appointment she shared some beautiful wisdom with me: that I should keep a skincare routine that makes me happy, with products that make me happy. It was so simple and lovely. Since coming to Shannon for facials for the last six months, my skin has cleared up and feels healthier than it has in years. I've switched to completely organic products and have a simple skincare routine that truly does make me happy. Through Shannon's work, she has taught me that sometimes less is more, and to really treat myself with self-love. This has been such a gift. She has always gone above and beyond delivering the best treatments for me and has become a true friend.

As a person, Shannon is a true professional and is an expert when it comes to skincare and using natural products to promote wellness. She has such a gentle, calming spirit, and you feel at ease as soon as you are in her presence. When I visited Shannon, I received the Moon Facial, which was very restorative and left my skin feeling beautiful. It involves extractions and steam, but in the most gentle way possible. I'm personally pretty sensitive to steam, so I asked Shannon if it could be lowered and she immediately took care of it and was great about checking in during the whole process to make sure I was comfortable. The products she used didn't irritate my skin at all and really made a difference. My mom has also visited Shannon for facials many times, and tells me that her "happy place" is being at Noel Herbal Skincare, receiving the most amazing facial. I completely agree. Cheers to many more visits to the happy place.

I told them to cancel and I would reschedule based on my availability. I then 24 hours later receive an email with confirmation with the original time, instead of the cancellation. By that time, I had made alternative plans but because this was 24 hours before the actual appointment a $75 charge was required to cancel. When I arrived, the technician was forceful and slimey with her business dealings. When I told her this was maintenance for previous treatment performed prior to moving to Boston, she proceeded to insult an entire city of people as though they were low class. They verbally quoted one price and wrote a different price in contract. When I corrected them, it was given a rebuttal and then ultimately changed again when I declined the service. This lets me know they make up pricing on the fly and based on who is in front of them. One service I wanted to save for another day, but she insisted on performing the day of consultation (to get the money) even though I did not have time. She then made up another day for me to come back and told the scheduler to schedule me at that time, even though I did not request that time. I think they have unethical practices and I will not be returning. I will fly back to my original dermatologist and aesthetician for better service.
