Ive seen their signage while passing .. The next day.. I was craving for Gyro and shawarma. It's very close by to my Brothers place. As I walked inside, the place was packed with people.. It's a tiny place mostly for to go orders but they have few chairs and a corner table. The staff was kinda friendly. The service came too slow on me because they have a lot of orders and orders for pick up.. I tried the beef gyro combo for $7.00 with everything on it on a pita wrap. It was indeed comparable to my fave lamb gyro in NYC.. Very tasty and filling. A must try. Next I ordered chicken shawarma it taste ok but I preferred the beef gyro. I ordered another 2 beef gyro while I waited inside my car.. The staff was friendly enough to find me in my car and delivered my orders. I was greatly satisfied and I enjoyed eating their gyros.. A place I would try again when I'm up Kitchener Ontario.

The best Shawarma in Kitchener! I've had better elsewhere, but if you are looking for Shawarma in Kitchener, this is the place. There was another Shawarma place here, but frankly I haven not noticed much of a change since the change. Highland Halal Shawarma keeps the menu pretty simple. Shawarmas are the big draw, but there are also Gyros, Falafels and Fresh Cut Fries. I am a big fan of the Full Flavour Shawarma, which has pickles, sauce and lots of chicken. The place is pretty small and it really is only set up for takeout (there are two stools for customers in the whole restaurant, and it can get pretty busy here).

Don't let the sign and size fool you. This Shawarma is addictive and incredible. I have been recommending this to everyone since I have had it. The workers are fast and friendly and serve quality. The garlic sauce and spices are next level as well as the salad. There wraps are great too. Everyone should try this place.

    Excellent Shwarma!

Long wait time for the food. Wouldn't be so bad, if the fries weren't cold!! Ended up just throwing them out....

Absolutely amazing chicken shawarmas. I am coming from the bay area in California and this shawarma place was better than any back home.

Literally eating their chicken shawarma while tying this. If they just toasted the shawarma it would be even better but still amazing

Absolutely the best in town! I go there once a week. Great for healthy fast food! It can be a bit busy at times but worth the wait.

I did a quick search to see if John Catucci had been to the area with either of his shows, and it turned out Philadelphia Kitchen was featured on You Gotta Eat Here. Decision made! We decided to try a couple of their cheesesteaks, one with wiz and one with mozzarella. After a wait of about 15 minutes, both sandwiches were brought to our table. My first impression was that hey, this doesn't look like a traditional cheesesteak. The wiz one especially only seemed to contain a small line of cheese whiz, which, if you've ever had an authentic cheesesteak, you know is absolutely incorrect. Anyway, even though I wouldn't call either of these sandwiches cheesesteaks in the traditional sense, they turned out to be tasty meat sandwiches regardless. The meat is cooked very well, and the fresh bread provides a nice crunch. Do I wish I'd been served an actual cheesesteak? Yes, definitely. But I did enjoy this for what it was, which is a well-made steak sandwich.

We stopped by for a quick drink and bite after seeing this place recommended in the Coffee Passport…read morefor K dubs, but unfortunately it ended up being a major letdown. We ordered two iced lattes: raspberry and lavender. They were ok, but nothing particularly memorable regarding the roasted beans they used. The bamboo straws were also frustratingly flimsy and kept breaking, which was especially annoying since the syrups settled at the bottom and you really needed the straws to mix the drinks properly. The major issue was the food service. We ordered a cinnamon bun and the Pregnant Sasquatch sandwich alongside our drinks, then waited nearly 30 minutes while watching people who ordered after us receive their food. When I finally went up to ask, it turned out the cashier had forgotten to send our order to the kitchen. This was stressful since we had an appointment in Toronto later in the afternoon. The cinnamon bun was then handed to us, which was sitting on the counter the whole time. Another 15 minutes later, a staff member came over to tell us they had run out of the artisan bun for the sandwich, so we had to choose an alternative. At that point, after all the delays and confusion, it honestly felt like some kind of compensation would've been appropriate. I ended up switching to sourdough bread. After waiting yet another 10 minutes, I asked if we could just cancel the sandwich altogether. The cashier assured us it was coming, and it finally arrived about 5 minutes later. To be fair, when I asked what happened, the cashier explained that they were very busy. But - there wasn't even much of a line when we placed our order, so the explanation didn't really add up. And unfortunately, after nearly an hour of waiting and spending around $30 on drinks and food, the sandwich itself was mid at best, Overall, the experience just didn't live up to the hype, and we probably won't be back.

Food was tasty albiet a little bit on the pricier side! We got nachos. Only knocking off a star because I wish the place was a little bit more easy to navigate: the menus were scribbly and a challenge to read, there was no guidance on how to use the video games unless you asked (one of the games wouldn't start and for the other one we couldn't find the controllers!), and the board games weren't obviously organized by alphabet or anything! I would have appreciated that. As extremely casual board gamers, we spent a lot of time deciding which board games to pick and only ended up playing a couple of games! A lot of the games are very old (which was cool). I think what sells the place is it's vintage-y charm coupled with nostalgia :) would recommend to go at least once.

They did also have a section to help you identify which games you could play with only two people which was super helpful. We didn't stay long because we had to get home, but enjoyed our time here. I would definitely go back to check out more of the stuff they have.
