My insurance after confirming with me the identity I gave Market street to be authentic and completely unaware with Market Street's request to verify me initiates a 3 way half hour phone call with Market street pharmacy to resolve this problem. Once all that's behind us these clowns still managed to butcher my prescription order. Despite that given I live next door out of convenience I decided to go there the next day to get a vaccine. Big mistake. Despite the place being practically dead they just let me sit there forever a staff member rudely telling me to sit down. I left. Drove 10 minutes down the road and had the whole thing taken care (including the round trip drive) faster then the entire time I wasted at Market Street waiting for nothing. A pleasant foodie surprise in San Angelo!…read more I had to come into San Angelo for work and going into the trip, I was not too excited about my food options available to me as a vegetarian...but I did find Buttercup online and it seemed close enough to those "hip, city coffee shops", meaning I should be able to get some decent food! Unfortunately, a lot of their hot sandwich options were off the table since they seemed to have a broken toaster, but I was able to order a hummus veggie sandwich that came with seasoned potato chips, a side salad, and a stick of chocolate. I also got a vanilla cake bite (pop without the stick) and everything was about $18 with tip. I didn't feel like trying any of the drinks, but some of the coffee flavors sounded interesting and they have seasonal flavors too. The ambiance is inviting, and definitely feels like a cozy place for the community to come hang. If you ever find yourself in this part of west Texas, definitely keep this spot in your back pocket for close to healthy eats!

With a wide variety of options, there's no shortage of flavors to suit just about anyone. At 91 degrees in San Angelo, it hit the spot perfectly. The shop itself has a cute, inviting ambience that adds to the experience. That said, the service left a lot to be desired. It felt rushed and impersonal...no warmth, no smiles, just a "get you through the line" kind of interaction. Not quite the friendly small-town vibe you might expect. Unfortunately, that lack of hospitality overshadows the positives, and it's enough to make us think twice about coming back, which is a real shame.

On this trip, I just went in for some general groceries, and I wasn't looking for anything in particular, just wanted to check it out, mostly. I came in around 10:00 am on the Saturday of the annual Army/Navy football game, so for some reason, I thought it would be pretty busy. Contrary to what I had pictured, there were maybe 10 other customers in the store, at best. The store is organized pretty much how every other commissary (or normal grocery store) I've been in has been. Basically, you walk in near the deli area, and if you make the loop, you'll go through produce, then to the meat counter in the very back, dairy, and then frozen, with all the dry goods and shelf-stable items on the aisles in the middle. I didn't find the staff particularly welcoming or nice, but I got in, got my stuff, and got out in a pretty decent amount of time since it was slow. Not sure if this is the regular, but I definitely won't complain. I would definitely go back.
