This is one of the smaller commissaries I have been to, however, it is quite clean, organized, and quiet. On this trip, I just went in for some general groceries, and I wasn't looking for anything in particular, just wanted to check it out, mostly.
I came in around 10:00 am on the Saturday of the annual Army/Navy football game, so for some reason, I thought it would be pretty busy. Contrary to what I had pictured, there were maybe 10 other customers in the store, at best. The store is organized pretty much how every other commissary (or normal grocery store) I've been in has been. Basically, you walk in near the deli area, and if you make the loop, you'll go through produce, then to the meat counter in the very back, dairy, and then frozen, with all the dry goods and shelf-stable items on the aisles in the middle.
I didn't find the staff particularly welcoming or nice, but I got in, got my stuff, and got out in a pretty decent amount of time since it was slow. Not sure if this is the regular, but I definitely won't complain. I would definitely go back. read more
