I was able to book an appointment online for only 2 days out - something I was surprised with considering most home inspectors were booked at least 1-2 weeks. The inspection report was also delivered super fast and was extremely thorough. Radon and termite was included, we also had a tank sweep which was done the same day. When he arrived, he really took the time to listen to our concerns and even asked to see some photos to get a better idea of what we were dealing with. After taking a look, he explained that the issue was actually outside the scope of what he usually inspects. But instead of just walking away, he stuck around, explained everything clearly, and gave us some super helpful advice. You can tell John really knows his stuff. He was professional, honest, and didn't try to sell us on anything unnecessary. In fact, he insisted on not charging us, saying he likes to "sleep peacefully at night." That says a lot about his character. He even sent us detailed suggestions on how to handle the problem--what kind of work would be needed, the materials to use, and even what kind of handyman to look for. He also gave us a few referrals to get started. We were originally planning a much more expensive fix, but thanks to his knowledgeable advice, we are able to switch to a more practical option and hence cut the cost in half. We really appreciate his honesty and guidance. He is the kind of handyman you would like to work with, especially for people like us after working with various dishonest handman/plumbers...He is definitely someone we'd trust and would go to for our future home improvement projects.

Just a quick update to my previous review written on 9/26/2021…read more First, NOTHING HAS CHANGED about the positive review I wrote about John's services, however after some time has passed since we first met John, I do want to add that John is absolutely and truly one of those people who keeps his promise of "feel free to reach out to me in the future and I will get back to you on it". Despite having completed our home inspection many months ago, as we settled into our home, we realized small things here and there that we didn't notice earlier. Every time we encountered something new, we thought any one of these questions - What can be causing this? How did this happen? How can we fix this? Will this cost much? Is this a small or big problem? The bottom line was where do we go from there?! ... JOHN to the rescue! Every time we had a question, not often, but the few times we did, we took John up on his generous offer of reaching out to him and, NOT ONCE, did John fail to respond within 1 day! Not only has John been extremely cordial and professional with every communication we had with him, but he takes the time to write out detailed, technical and specific instructions on how we could resolve our home issues. Honestly, we would be so lost without his guidance and advice, but he has made our transition into our home less stressful. Like I said in my earlier review, John was recommended by our realtor and we truly believe this was, hands down, the BEST recommendation out of all of the recommendations we received.

As first time home buyers, we were not sure how to decide about the condition of the house, beyond what we could 'see'. He was passionate and did a job as if he were buying the house. Having recently been scammed by another inspector on the same property, we knew what bad looked like. And John was on the exact opposite end of the spectrum. Trust him to give you an honest, expert and professional review of the house before you make a call. We actually decided not to buy the house as we learnt about the structural issues in the house - we would've been stuck with a lemon if not for John.

Not only was he thorough and professional, but he was quick to respond and extremely patient with each and every one of our questions. From start to finish, our experience was nothing short of outstanding. Dimitry conducted a comprehensive 4-hour walk-through of our prospective property with additional add-on services such as radon gas test, water quality test, sewer scope test and mold test. His attention to detail was remarkable--he meticulously examined every aspect of the home, pointing out potential issues we would have never noticed on our own. Not only was he highly knowledgeable, but he also took the time to educate us on proper home maintenance, even gifting us a personally written, personally designed Home Inspection Manual--an incredibly valuable resource for us new home owners! Because the property was occupied by tenants, we were only able to decide on the schedule last minute. Despite our last-minute scheduling, he was extremely responsive and secured us an appointment the very next day. The inspection report was delivered within 24 hours--filled with clear, detailed notes and high-quality photos. He also followed up with us on any questions we had after reading the report, and returned the following day to complete the radon test and sewer scope, proving his dedication and reliability. Dimitry isn't just an inspector--he's a trusted advisor who cares about his clients' peace of mind. Thanks to his expertise, we feel confident and well-prepared moving forward with our purchase.
