My clothes didn't fit the way I wanted, and I felt frumpy when I looked in the mirror. I used to go to Neiman's for fittings, but after COVID the experience there just wasn't the same. I had heard that Top Drawer Lingerie still offered expert fittings, so I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon--and I am so glad I did. From the moment I met Kathy, I knew I was in good hands. She sized me up (literally) within seconds, brought back the perfect style, and I walked out with two new everyday bras that fit beautifully. The whole fitting and trying on experience took about all of seven minutes. Kathy's confidence and expertise were undeniable, and she lovingly talked me into treating myself to one extra-sexy bra, because as she reminded me, I deserve it. My experience was nothing short of exceptional. Kathy is skilled, professional, and kind. If you're looking for an expert fitting and want to feel like a beautiful woman again, this is the place to go. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Dow Hickman, who was on-site. He is a genuinely lovely man with a wonderful story, and it was clear he truly cares about his customers and the business. I won't pretend all the bras are cheap--they range from about $40 to $300--but some are the same brands you'll find at other retailers, except here you get personalized service you simply won't find anywhere else. Sometimes it's worth the splurge, and as women, I think we all deserve to feel supported and confident. Top Drawer Lingerie gave me that, and I couldn't recommend them more highly.

That kind of expertise is rare, and it's why I'll keep shopping here instead of gambling on random online listings. They have everything that you would want, except good places to park, with very highly priced metered parking that no shopping center should allow, all around the store and the Rice Village Mall. It's so elitist, because only people with money to burn would use the parking at those rates... and I think that's the point. The only other downside is that I once got stabbed here by a very sharp and very strange drawer that was sticking out and full of sexy underwear. It was like a dominatrix thing but I was the only real human actively involved and where's the fun in that. I actually bled in their store. Not fun. That wasn't appreciated. But generally speaking I like it and I will probably come back here in future at some point. In fact, we'll probably be back regularly. It's the closest one to our house and we love it because it's in a little neighbourhood. It's one of Barbie's favourite stores and she stops here every chance she gets. She's kind of obsessed and I can totally understand because I'm kind of obsessed with the way she looks when she wears this stuff. So all in all it is a pretty sweet and cute Pink location. It's kind of tight and stuffy in here, cosy, you might say. The employees are not bad. Prices are extortionately high, so come in the sales if you can. A bit more manageable then. Just a bit. I've spent a little too much money here over the last few years but I've never worn anything that I bought here. Or at least if I have, don't tell the girl that they belong to. And if they sold green hair dye and facial piercings, it'd be Punk. They don't. And if they were run by Ashton Kutcher, it'd be Prank. (As featured on MTV's Pink'd With Ashton KutVScher.) And if they sold whips and chains (which excite Rihanna), it'd be Kink.

I just didn't want to waste her time if she is thinking shes doing a shoot which was not the case. So I called left a VM no answer or callback. So the next day I proceeded to go 45 minutes into downtown houston, waiting around the lofts for about 10 minutes called her multiple times and got forwarded and never answered the door to her studio. One of my Other friends who had shown me this boutique had known her personally and reached out, ONLY THEN DID SHE DECIDE to text me some message on how MY appointment got cancelled and if I wanted to reschedule. I think its completely unprofessional to cancel an appointment for a someone and not let them know and just leave them in the dust. if this is how she is even for shopping I cant imagine how unprofessional she is in her other endeavors.

My shoot with ShineOn Boudoir in downtown Houston was the first professional boudoir photoshoot…read moreI've ever booked, and I was very nervous for weeks leading up to it. I was not in a very body-positive mindset the evening before and even walking into the studio the day of, but that quickly changed as I talked with Julia and her team. My nerves calmed when Laura started on my makeup, and Kendall handed me a glass of champagne. Leading up to the photoshoot, I received several emails with information regarding their downtown warehouse loft location right across from Minute Made Park and parking. They also included how to best prepare for the shoot--from what to wear, skincare suggestions, and where to buy high-quality lingerie if I didn't already have some. The email sent the day before let me know the timeline and everything that would take place that day. Their excellent communication certainly helped me relax before the big day! Laura did a beautiful job on my makeup. I typically wear very natural and light makeup, and it was fun to see the drama she added, so my makeup would stand out for the shoot! I still looked like myself, which was important to me. While Laura did my makeup, Kendall went through the several outfits I had packed and my jewelry to pick out the shoot styles. She and Julia decided to put me in a few pieces from Julia's lingerie line, and they were absolutely stunning! It was wonderful to hand over the final decision making to their team of professionals and relax. Once my hair and makeup were done, I got to see the outfits that had been styled for me, and we started the shoot. Julia demonstrated and talked me through exactly what poses I'd be doing for each shot. She kept saying "gorgeous" or "perfect" with every shot, and it definitely boosted my confidence. By the end of the shoot, we had several stunning photos to choose from, and we sat together to whittle down the choices. This was the most challenging part of the experience, and I was stunned to see myself on the screen. Was that really me? The lighting was stunning. The curves and angles were so feminine and breathtaking. She and her team had managed to bring out the goddess in me, and I couldn't have felt more confident leaving the studio. I will be recommending ShineOn Boudoir to all of my friends. Men and women alike! They also shoot couples, which could be such a fun gift for a birthday or holiday. I'm certainly hoping my upcoming birthday involves a gift certificate so I can snag more of the photos I had to weed out from this shoot! Highly recommend!

I finally committed to using Lighthouse Boudoir and I would highly recommend Sontera to anyone! My biggest fear when committing to this was that I would get my pictures back and not like them. After months and months and months of researching and looking at other pictures online on various websites, I felt like my pictures would never live up to what I had seen others look like in front of the camera. Boy was I wrong!!! I was more nervous on reveal day of the proofs than I was in front of the camera, but Sontera delivered the most amazing and beautiful pictures I had ever seen of myself! My favorite part of the shoot was the fact that I was one-on-one with Sontera and there was never a moment of awkwardness. Yes, my sultry face attempts were awkward, but even through that we laughed it off and she managed to capture my expressions at just the right moments. When looking into doing a boudoir shoot, I initially thought I'd be in a studio or place of business but I loved the fact that this shoot was in Sontera's home studio. It gave a sense of comfort to the entire experience.
