We hired High Tide Designs and Kyle Davis to add pavers to our front and back porch, driveway and build a patio in November 2025. We paid a total of $12,000. What followed was months of delays and excuses just to get the project started. Once work finally began, it was completed sporadically, in small sections, over a period of months. We repeatedly had to contact Kyle to get him to return and continue the work.
Ultimately, the project was never completed, and the majority of the work that was done was installed incorrectly. There were significant issues throughout the project, including serious problems with our back porch.
We went to the business address to address the matter in person only to learn it is an apartement and he no longer lives there. We made repeated attempts to give Kyle the opportunity to return, complete the project, and correct the problems. Instead, we spent months trying to get him to come back and eventually were left with an unfinished project and extensive work that needed to be corrected.
We have documented the project extensively, including our signed agreement, payments, photographs, communications, and estimates for correcting the work. We also documented our attempts to resolve the matter before pursuing other routes.
This was not a minor disagreement over workmanship or aesthetics. We paid $12,000 expecting the contracted project to be completed properly. Instead, we were left with incomplete and defective work, additional expenses to correct it, and no resolution from the contractor.
I strongly encourage anyone considering High Tide Designs to do their own due diligence, verify all applicable licensing and insurance, obtain everything in writing, document payments and project progress, and carefully research the company before paying substantial amounts of money. read more
