We live in…read moreNYC and have happily saved our quarters and made the drive many times to play in the classic arcade (and visit Oblong books and Pizzeria Posto) so were were SHOCKED to find out they have replaced the arcade with a tabletop game cafe. The games cafe was empty except for the nice guy trying to interest people in playing games. All the fantastic pinball machines are GONE. The only game left was a video "Simpson's" game. My son played with the other kids whose family made an hour + trip with a bag of quarters. It was such a disappointment. Pretty please use your Megabrains to bring back pinball!

Geared towards the younger crowd, adults can partake in the play which was pretty cool. There was enough excitement from the various obstacles to provide a thrill, old and young alike. This was definitely the highlight of the entertainment center. Safety wasn't an issue and there was enough supervision even with the additional risks. There are many arcade games but 1/3 of the games seemed to be out of order for my trip. Not sure if that is because of the package my group paid for. Honestly most of the games were stale. The bumper cars were of the kiddie variety and used levers for movement instead of a steering wheel so it was a little less bump which takes away some of the fun. The overall drive space was smaller so the bumps were more like nudges. The scary 3D movie experience also didn't provide the thrill I was expecting. The aroma of buttery popcorn is very prevalent everywhere in the center, so much so that I swear it's on purpose to make you buy popcorn. The pizza was not impressive but I suppose standard for the course. During my visit the wait for the concession lines were really long. The floors were well cleaned and maintained which is a nice change from the normal food stained floors of most kiddie entertainment centers.

Considering the fact that 3 hours of unlimited attractions is $43 on its own, the Level Up package is a deal! Plus, I don't have to limit my kids' activities so everyone is happy. My boys loved the Dark Ride, which is an interactive ride with shooting elements, and the bumper cars. There was also a ropes course, rock wall, ninja warrior course, and a ballocity play area. The only bummer was that the mini bowling was out of order, and I know my sons would have loved that.

I reminisce arcade video games were always localized at shopping malls. Happy Valley Arcade Bar contains many games and snacks as well as alcohol and non-alcohol drinks are available. There is a coin change machine which was not working. This arcade video game business does contain a bathroom facility. It does provide a temporary mental detox or mental phlegmatic disposition from life's stressors in a casual relaxed atmosphere without judgment and without pressure of looming deadline for quota. There is also a small photo booth which can only fit two people. It was impossible to cramp six adults in this miniscule booth. There is an outdoor patio for seating. I hoped to see Grand Theft Auto, but to no avail. Arcade cabinet games are: Pac-Man 1980 I played for $0.25 and lost at the first round. Donkey Kong 1981 No comment. I did not play. The Simpsons 1991 No comment. I did not play. This depicts violence as Maggie is kidnapped because a large stolen diamond, inadvertently, landed in her mouth during a melee and she begins sucking on it like a pacifier. The rest of the Simpsons family gives a violent chase in pursuit for retrieving Maggie. Mortal Kombat II 1993 No comment. I did not play. Street Fighter II 1993 No comment. I did not play. KungFu Kickball I was on the red team to punch, kick and headbutt a ball into the opponent's bell and won against a good longtime male friend who was on the blue team. The final score 3-2. This dancing video game reminds me of the movie "The Kissing Booth" which appears exactly as is. Pinball Oh, my inner child surfaces! No comment. I did not play. Pinball games are very classic and simple as the objective are all the same with a carbon steel or chrome steel ball with flippers. It is a game of chance. I would play pinball at outdoor fairs or festivals while eating funnel cake with strawberries. I remember playing Initial D Arcade Stage: Cycraft Edition 2003 where the seat drastically shifted, leaned, and jerked violently sideways to perfectly match the mountain-pass touge drifting mechanics of the motion-simulator racing game. I remember I jackknifed a vehicle! I lost this five minute racing game with my then boyfriend. Disappointedly, this video game cabinet is not available at Happy Valley Arcade Bar.

You still get random families with wild kids (sometimes wild adults lol) but you just live with it. They have string pins now. Compared to a few other string pins I've bowled on, these are pretty well tuned. They care about bowling here, which is nice. I appreciate that they allow you to reset the pins yourself on the lane, saves everyone time. Still my favorite house to bowl at in the area.

Overall they had a fantastic time. There was a lot to take part in which we had neither the time nor desire to do so on this visit (skating rink, pickleball, video game arcade, billiards and golf). I appreciated the age segregation as it prevented horseplay from older aged ones from harming younger children. The restrooms seemed far from the play area. It was a great source of entertainment but you have to keep a close eye on small children. My one criticism was that there were props in one of the play areas that were very heavy and could harm someone if they hit someone; they also posed a tripping hazard. They were shaped like a giant Swiss cheese wheel. Bounce is conveniently located in the Galleria Mall, so there is ample free parking.

(Shout out to the laser tag attendee tho - he was very kind). $10 arcade card was empty (they rectified it, but annoying to have to wait again). Arcade games ate credits or didn't have balls/etc to actually play. So many staffing/operational breakdowns, just not worth it.

Let's talk about last night…read more We came here to celebrate my sister-in-law's birthday with a party of 10. When we first arrived, we were greeted by the employee at the front counter, who was friendly and seemed to be in a good mood. We paid $107 for an hour of bowling and headed to our lanes. About five minutes later, management approached us and said that one of our teenagers had called an employee the N-word. We were told we had to leave immediately and that we would not receive a refund. We were completely shocked. We had no idea what they were talking about, so we tried to understand what had happened. During the discussion, we were told the police had been called. At that point, I gathered my family and waited near the entrance for the officers. We asked for some explanation, security footage, or any details about the alleged incident, but we were told the employee was too upset to come out and explain what had happened. I want to give credit to the officers from the Wappingers police department, they handled the situation professionally and took the time to listen to both sides. After speaking with us and then with the employee, it became clear that she had overheard one of the teenagers using the N-word while talking among themselves, not directing it at her. That is a very different situation from what we were originally accused of. The officer then asked management to contact the owner about refunding our money, and thankfully we did receive a full refund. We left and spent the rest of the evening somewhere else. My biggest issue isn't that someone was offended, it's how the situation was handled. Before getting the facts, management accused our family of directing a racial slur at an employee, called the police, and attempted to remove us without a refund. That was embarrassing and upsetting for everyone involved. I left feeling that the situation was handled far too quickly without a proper investigation or giving our family an opportunity to explain what had actually happened. I hope management reviews its procedures so future customers are treated more fairly before such serious accusations are made.

I always remember the song and video of bruno mars' song "just the way you are" playing and it was awesome. Everyone seems to go there to have a good time and thats it and thats what it feels like.
