You cannot believe how hard it is to find a barber who can cut a flat top. I called the shop and asked if they had someone who could provide me with what I wanted. I was told Lug/Luke was the man for me. I scheduled an appointment and was not disappointed. It was one of the finest flat tops I have ever been given. He is up there with barbers who have been cutting for 40+ years. I was worried when I first saw how young he was; however, he did an outstanding job. (My Braun S9 shaver died on me earlier this week so I needed to get my head shaved.) After I dropped my Mom off, I was on Yelp searching for a local barber to take care of me. Some places were booked for the morning, others were too expensive. I went with the most affordable price on the phone, $23. There is really nothing to shaving a head bald, so I thought. What could possibly happen? It started innocent enough. Then, as soon as the barber finished, he asked if I wanted aftershave. I agreed. This was the first sign of an issue. My head started burning, more than normal. The whole point of aftershave is to disinfect minor cuts, soothe and hydrate skin, right? I chalked it up to strong aftershave and proceeded to settle the bill. Then he says, $28. I said, "huh?" He said, "two eight". I break out my cash and say, "I was told $23 on the phone." My barber asks another barber, "He said he was quoted $23 over the phone." The other barber points at a sign and says, "Look, the sign says regular cut $23." I give $26 total and leave. When I left, I kept noticing how irritated my head felt. I get home and I look in the mirror. I'm shocked. I look like I got scratched up by a cat. (Please review photos.) I've never had an experience like this before from any barber. I cannot recommend this place. If there was a zero-star rating, that would be more accurate.
