Bloomington Carpet One Floor & Home - Newly painted and re-landscaped building!

Bloomington Carpet One Floor & Home

I am hesitant to give a complete four star only because of several issues that arose with the…read more'first' carpet we had installed. The seam was placed incorrectly in our master bedroom( not the installers fault); the carpet could not be vacuumed with a Dyson and we came to find that out after the fact that would void our warranty; installers were late and never called and hence did not finish the job. On the other hand, I am truly impressed with the Beautiful Guarantee that assured we would not have a hassle replacing what was already installed. I would not hesitate to recommend Carpet One Bloomington but I think it is very important to ask the right questions of the type of carpet you pick vs just color and feel. Matt was easy to work with and our second install team (Juan, etc) couldn't have been more professional.

Josh was our salesperson, and was tireless, knowledgeable, and patient in working out different options and educating us about the pros and cons. We did some comparison shopping. BCO's good pricing, their responsiveness and promptness, and them doing their own work (not subcontracting) were compelling, so we went with them. After we ordered the work, BCO was able to put the job on schedule within days. The BCO installers accidentally installed the vinyl plank in the wrong area. This error also led to some other issues. When BCO realized this, it immediately acknowledged its error and responsibility, and worked to correct as soon as it could. The BCO installers were back the next day to start addressing the issues, and Eric and another employee even visited the job after their workdays, just to evaluate and determine solutions. Matt (general manager) got involved at the end to make sure that we were satisfied with the resolution. (We were!) However careful a company is, some type of error will happen sometime to that company - that's a fact of life. How the company - and the people at the company - respond sets the great ones apart. And Bloomington Carpet One, through its actions and the actions of its employees, clearly distinguishes itself as a great company!

AMAZING Service & Product!!!…read more We used CBL carpets to install carpet at a house that we were getting ready to sell. I was looking for inexpensive carpet to be installed quickly and had been to both Home Depot and Lowes. I was SO frustrated by the lack of knowledge of the store employees and stressed about having to make an appointment with a 3rd party, potentially get an asbestos test and not fully knowing WHEN everything would be completed. I mentioned my situation while at a luncheon and 2 separate neighbors suggested I call CBL. Boy am I glad I did!! Not only did CBL have a much better quality and color selection of quick install carpet but Frank, one of the owners, came out to measure and provided a quote. The quote was very similar in price to the big box stores. Carpets were installed by a super detail oriented team within 5 days of my original call. Everything was perfect! Then the rains and warmer weather came and the basement flooded 3 days after our carpet was installed. Frank and his team went way beyond anything I could have imagined and offered to come and pick up the carpet and bring it to their warehouse to dry out. The team is now ready to reinstall when we are sure basement is dry. I will forever be a CBL customer and will continue to share my awesome experience with anyone who will hear me. This is the kind of personal service one can only dream of these days. Thank you CBL!!!!

They are very professional and knowledgable about flooring. I made at least 5 trips into the store for color selection and sample check outs. They came out to my home to help me finalize my selections. They even offered help with wall colors too. I think the pricing is fair comparing CBL to the larger big box stores. The main difference is that this is a family owned business and it is clear that their customers come first. I would not hesitate to use them again. I am now in the process of looking at their selections of blinds from Hunter Douglas. I highly recommend this company.

My experience with Empire Today was very positive. I reached out to a number of companies and went with Empire Today because they had a short wait time, a good selection of products, and the price was within the budget I set based on my research. The salesperson they sent out, Bill was great. He was knowledgeable about their products and the process, gave me a heads up about the need to change products after the installation team inspects the floor, and was extremely responsive throughout. We did have to go with a different product after the floor was inspected, but once that was sorted, everything went smoothly and we were very happy with the result. The only thing I would have like to have seen done differently is that it would have been nice if the measurements to ensure that the floor was level enough for certain products could have been done during the sales visit. But compared to my past experiences of putting down flooring myself, or buying the material myself and having a handyman do it, this was so much quicker and easier. And compared to other flooring companies and other home improvement companies I've worked with the communication was far better than I expected.

It was a brand new credit card and the only people to have handled the card are the installer and myself. Fortunately, my credit card company coveed the charges but when I reported this to Empire, they apparently did an investigation without any input from me and decided no fraud occured and closed the ticket (without telling me). EMPIRE IS STILL USING THE SUBS and this is a warning to anyone in the Twin Cities area that Empire DOES NOT CARE they are using criminals to install their carpet. Think twice before you buy from them.
